Yolanda Taylor walked so fast that it took Gwen Fox several steps to catch up with the man.
He reached out and pulled her back, “Dear, we haven’t eaten yet.”
At that moment, someone passed by and Yolanda Taylor’s emotions calmed down.
She inclined her head to look at Gwen Fox beside her and pursed her lips for a second, “Did you hear that Angela has a picture of me!”
“She wouldn’t dare do anything about it!”
“Yeah?” She asked coolly, “Who can guess at such things as the human heart?”
As she said this, she looked at him with some sadness in her eyes, as if she had remembered something.
Gwen Fox let go of her wrist and took her hand, “I’ll get the picture back.”
Yolanda Taylor didn’t say another word, she knew that today had been unproductive, Angela wouldn’t have come down on her like this three times if she was so easily compromised.
“Dinner first.”
He said, leading her down the stairs and finding regular seating.
The restaurant was overcrowded at this time of day, but Gwen Fox was such a person that even if there were no seats available, they would have to be vacated for him.
The two sat in a more private seat, and Augustus didn’t see them when he came down the stairs to leave.
Not long after Augustus left, Yolanda Taylor also saw Angela coming down.
She was so disoriented that she didn’t look like she was going to have a bad time for the rest of her life just now in the box.
Yolanda Taylor looked at her back and thought about the picture in her hand, her face was a little cold.
Gwen Fox followed her line of sight and also saw Angela’s back.
He only took one look before his eyes fell back to Yolanda Taylor’s face, “I’ll talk to Augustus tomorrow.”
Hearing his words, Yolanda Taylor gave him a look, she didn’t say anything.
It had been a bad day of negotiations and Yolanda Taylor was angered by Angela’s attitude.
She hadn’t said anything after that, and when she got back to the villa, she sat on the couch for a while before she spoke half a dozen times, “I want Lewis to help me find out where Rickey is.”
Hearing her say this, Gwen Fox looked down at her for a moment, “I’ll have Lewis find out.”
Yolanda Taylor nodded once, then got up and went into the checkroom to get her pajamas and pajama pants out.
Once she got out of the shower, Gwen Fox told her which hospital and which ward Rickey was in.
“Thanks.”
“When are you planning on going over?”
He asked as he looked sideways at Yolanda Taylor, who was sitting in front of the vanity mirror.
Yolanda Taylor glanced at the mirror, “I’ll go over there myself.”
It wasn’t convenient for Gwen Fox to be there if she happened to bump into Angela at the hospital tomorrow.
Gwen Fox looked at her for a moment and said the word “yes” before going into the bathroom.
The next day Gwen Fox dropped her off in front of Walker Hospital, which was quite crowded early in the morning.
Yolanda Taylor went into the inpatient unit, asked a nurse, and soon found Rickey’s room.
The nurse had just come out of Rickey’s room as she stood in front of it.
Seeing her, the nurse couldn’t help but freeze, “Are you a friend of Mr. Rickey?”
Yolanda Taylor nodded her head, “Classmate.”
“Mr. Rickey’s girlfriend hasn’t come over yet today, you can go in first.” “Thanks.”
She smiled at the nurse before pushing the door open and walking in.
The Rickey she remembered she had almost forgotten, and now that she saw Rickey sleeping motionless in the hospital bed, Yolanda Taylor could vaguely recall that day when he confessed his love for her behind the Biology building.
Rickey’s looks were so gentle, and even his personality was so gentle, that when he confessed his love, she hadn’t blushed yet, but he had already blushed all over himself.
Yolanda Taylor has heard a lot of confessions since she was a child, but she doesn’t remember many of them, and Rickey is one of the few.
For no other reason than he was so shy and bashful, it was like the two had switched identities.
If Angela hadn’t told her, she wouldn’t have known that he went to the same college as her, let alone that he became the way he is today in order to defend himself.
The room was quiet, and Rickey lay motionless on it, exposing a section of his calf ankle that was very white.
He probably hadn’t seen much sunlight in all those years.
“What are you doing here?”
Angela’s face went white when she saw Yolanda Taylor.
Yolanda Taylor looked back at her, “I came to check on him.”
“No need for your fake kindness.”
She said, pulling the door to the wall, “You’re out, you’re not welcome here!”
Yolanda Taylor frowned a little, “Let me remind you, if you want Rickey to be well, I suggest you hand over my picture.”
“In your dreams, Yolanda Taylor!”
Angela had obviously forgotten what she had said in front of Augustus yesterday.
She hated Yolanda Taylor!
Hated the fact that she could easily get Rickey’s likes, and hated the fact that she didn’t know anything about it, yet she put Rickey in this situation! All those years later, she still hated Yolanda Taylor so much that she wanted to kill her! “You insist, so I won’t say anything.”
She said, lifting her leg and walking out, only to walk to the door when Yolanda Taylor stopped again.
She turned back to look at Rickey in the hospital bed again, remembering that hot, dry afternoon, “I think you’ll know when Gwen Fox and I got together if you go back and ask around. The rumors inside the school have been around for over two months now, so I don’t think you’re stupid enough to think that I let them.” With that, she crouched down a bit and looked back straight at Angela, “Angela, you’re nothing but a bully! You know full well that the person who pushed Rickey down the stairs is the real murderer! But instead of focusing on the real murderer, you’re focusing on me! In a way, I’m a victim too! Who spread the rumor, Gwen Fox’s position, it’s easy for him to suppress it. This matter, even if I have the responsibility, but you count one by one, how to count should not be the first to find me to count!”
“But you are directly looking for me. It’s been six years, have you done less to me before? I’ve also put up with you for six years, I won’t put up with this one anymore, so behave yourself!”
She wasn’t trying to persuade Angela, she knew Angela had gone crazy.
Even if she was responsible for this matter, but when it came to pursuing the matter, the biggest responsibility was the one who pushed Rickey, then the one who spread the rumor, and the one who was discussing the rumor that day, followed by the one who indulged in the rumor, Gwen Fox.
But Angela went to none of them in favor of her, which, more than bullying, should have been Angela’s jealousy of her.
She knew that there was nothing, more horrible than a woman’s jealousy.
What should be said she has finished, Angela does not listen, she will not pity her.
The matter would not pass so easily with Gwen Fox without speaking of her.
Angela was obsessed, and in the end it was only Rickey and Angela’s family who suffered for her.
