Chapter 186 Are you jealous?

Book:Welcome To My Life Published:2024-6-3

Yolanda Taylor contacted the person based on the phone number Heather gave her, and the two made an appointment to meet.
She had been inside the villa for several days to avoid Mrs. Linda and the others, during which time Gwen Fox had asked her if she wanted to help and she had refused.
That day drunken thing Gwen Fox did not ask anything, she also did not say anything.
But I heard that Gwen Fox was very busy lately and probably couldn’t care about her that much, so the two of them got along quite well.
Yolanda Taylor had a two o’clock appointment with the person Heather introduced her to, she left the house at one o’clock, and just as she arrived at the place, Gwen Fox’s phone call came through.
Yolanda Taylor frowned, “What’s up?” “Not home?”
“Out.”
“Uh, nothing, dinner tonight?”
“Let’s talk about it, I’ve got something to do, I’ll hang up now.”
With that, she hung up the phone.
Yolanda Taylor saw a man with a flat head from a distance, “Hello, I’m Yolanda Taylor.”
“Miss Taylor, my name is Gustavo, Miss Heather said you ran into something tricky.”
The man was dressed in short leather armor, his features were stern and rigid, he didn’t look like a street person by any stretch of the imagination.
Hearing his words, Yolanda Taylor withdrew her measuring eyes and nodded, “Yes, I hope Mr. Gustavo can help me out, the price is negotiable.”
“Miss Taylor can you tell us the specifics?”
Yolanda Taylor smiled lightly, “I’m not from Borden City, my hometown is Jaeger City, I just settled over here. Earlier in life our family and my grandmother’s family they had severed ties, but my parents had a house over there, but a long time ago my dad transferred the house to my name alone, which means that the house is mine.”
She said, paused for a moment, and took a sip of water, “Recently that set of house is going to be demolished, my grandmother and a few of my uncles and they want to divide the benefits, and now they are pestering me. My grandmother is extremely spirited and calculating, she didn’t know where she found out that I opened a wedding planning studio, the day of the negotiation was probably because she thought that I was living well over here, and she now wants to get those cousins of mine to come over. My mom and dad died four years ago, and I don’t have much affection for my grandma and the girls, and I’m not going to let anyone touch my interests. It’s just that lately their presence in front of the store has been interfering with my ability to open my doors for business, so I’d like to ask a favor of you, Mr. Gustavo.”
After saying that, she moved an envelope in front of his eyes, “This is the deposit, and after the matter is accomplished, I will give you another one hundred thousand dollars.”
The envelope contained ten thousand dollars, ten thousand dollars wasn’t particularly much in this day and age, but it wasn’t small either, and it was only a deposit.
Gustavo reached out and took the envelope straight away, he looked down and didn’t order it, “Three days’ time.”
“Thanks.”
“Miss Taylor you’re welcome, take the money, do the work.”
He said and paused for a moment, “But I still want to make sure that Miss Taylor really doesn’t mind being related to your grandma and uncle and those people anymore? You know, nowadays, many people get in the way of these relationships and end up backtracking, we’re not happy at both ends not to mention that our hard work may have been for nothing.”
Yolanda Taylor smiled, “I understand, but don’t worry Mr. Gustavo, I am the one who even looks at them one more time I feel sick.”
“I see.”
The other man was smart and it was a very pleasant conversation that went back and forth for no more than twenty minutes.
Gustavo even settled the bill before he left, and Yolanda Taylor couldn’t help but smile when she heard the cashier’s words.
The man really didn’t look like a street hustler, but rather a tough guy.
It was only about three o’clock when she got out of the cafe, so Yolanda Taylor had to take a cab back to the store.
Gwen Fox had just finished the meeting when Lewis walked up to him, “President Fox, Mrs. Gustavo was asked by Mrs. Gustavo to help with the old lady’s matter.”
Hearing Lewis’ words, Gwen Fox couldn’t help but frown, “Who is Gustavo?” “Somewhat related to President Rodriguez.”
Gwen Fox responded coolly, “I see.”
Yolanda Taylor didn’t know what Gustavo was using, but on Friday she heard CoCo call to say that the guys had finally stopped showing up inside the store.
Not to mention the inside of the store, but the outside of the store as well, the guys seemed to have vanished all of a sudden.
Yolanda Taylor knew it was Gustavo who had made things right, and after she hung up with CoCo, she called the man.
“Thank you, Mr. Gustavo.”
“Miss Taylor is welcome.”
He didn’t mention anything about the final payment either, but Yolanda Taylor was self-conscious enough to ask him for the account number and quickly transferred a hundred thousand dollars over.
Mrs. Linda and the guys finally left, Friday night traffic was heavy and Yolanda Taylor went inside the store in the afternoon.
At six o’clock in the evening, Gwen Fox called her and said that there was a charity gala in the evening and asked if she wanted to go.
Yolanda Taylor didn’t want to go, but it was clear that he hadn’t really called to ask her opinion.
“I’ll come over later and pick you up for dinner and then we’ll go together.”
“Whatever.”
Yolanda Taylor wasn’t going to get angry with him so easily now; anger didn’t solve things, and a woman getting angry was a very self-abusive thing, so she didn’t want to get angry.
Not long after she hung up the phone, Gwen Fox’s car was parked in front of the store.
Lincoln is not often seen on the street, suddenly parked on the curb, attracting the attention of many shoppers.
The employees inside the store would have been amazed at first, but after seeing it a lot, and not being able to afford it themselves anyway, their mindset has now calmed down.
CoCo went in and called Yolanda Taylor, who looked up at her, “I know.”
She shut down her computer and gathered up some recent information before getting up to go out.
Gwen Fox stood beside the car, the night breeze at the end of March was still cold, he wore a long gray trench coat, the wind blew over and the corners of the coat were lifted, the whole person had a few more points of wind and flow.
Even if Yolanda Taylor hated him, there was no way to deny that Gwen Fox’s face was really attractive.
She glanced at the several girls in line at the milk tea store next to her who were pretending to take pictures of the scenery with their cell phones but were actually taking pictures of Gwen Fox, and faintly retracted her line of sight: “They’re taking pictures of you.”
Gwen Fox frowned and knocked on the car door.
The driver got out of the car in a hurry, and Gwen Fox glanced at the women taking pictures with a watery face, “Tell them to delete the pictures.”
Yolanda Taylor had already gotten herself inside the car, and when he finished, he bent down and got inside as well.
The car was fully heated and the compartment was spacious, it was more comfortable than Yolanda Taylor sitting inside the office.
“Are you jealous?”
The light inside the car was dim, relying on the light coming in from the streetlights outside.
Yolanda Taylor inclined her head to look at the other side of the window as soon as she got in the car, and the dim light shone on her face, reflecting some of the coolness of her side face.
Hearing his words, she squared her face and gave him a faint look, “I just don’t want me to follow you on the hot seat the next day.”
Luxury cars, handsome men, beautiful women.
These three points, even taken individually, could satisfy the curiosity of many people nowadays, let alone put together.
Gwen Fox looked at her for a while and stopped mentioning this topic, “What do you want to eat tonight?”
“Didn’t you already make a reservation?”
He asked her in such a fake way every time, when in reality he had already asked Lewis to make reservations himself.
