Chapter 176 You better stay out of this.

Book:Welcome To My Life Published:2024-6-3

Word got out that Gwen Fox had gone to Robin City to see Yolanda Taylor, and rumors that the two were emotionally unavailable and separated were quickly dispelled.
Yolanda Taylor, a week after he went back to Borden City, ended things in Robin City and bought a plane ticket to fly back as well.
Just as she got off the plane, Gwen Fox’s call came, “I’ve arranged for a driver to pick you up.”
Yolanda Taylor lifted her suitcase down, “Uh, I know.”
After saying that, she directly hung up the phone and dragged her suitcase out of the airport.
Just after leaving the airport, Yolanda Taylor was stopped by Gwen Fox’s driver, “Mrs. Fox, hello, I’m the driver that President Fox arranged to pick you up.”
Mrs. Fox.
Yolanda Taylor’s face turned a little cold when she heard this title.
But she didn’t say anything after all, and nodded her head a little, “Please.”
The driver opened the car door for her, then took the suitcase in her hand and mentioned it to the trunk there.
Yolanda Taylor leaned over and got into the car, it was still cold in March in Borden City, and it wasn’t a very nice day, it was only just after four o’clock and it was overcast outside.
The car drove slowly and Yolanda Taylor’s cell phone vibrated, she looked down and saw that Gwen Fox had sent her a message asking her what she wanted to eat for dinner.
Yolanda Taylor didn’t reply because she didn’t know what to reply to and she didn’t want to.
Forty minutes later, the car pulled up under FG and she couldn’t help but frown.
The driver looked back at her, “Mrs. Fox, President Fox would like you to wait a moment, he’ll be down in ten minutes.”
Yolanda Taylor glanced at the driver and nodded, he never cared what she thought, he was happy with himself.
Yolanda Taylor inclined her head and looked out the car window, it was starting to get dark in Borden City at five thirty. Gwen Fox walked out of the FG with two other employees following her.
Yolanda Taylor withdrew her gaze and sat down on the sidewalk.
Soon after, Gwen Fox approached.
The car door was pulled open and he leaned over and sat in, bringing a chill with him.
Yolanda Taylor glanced at him and was about to look away when he suddenly caught her hand, “Where’s the wedding ring?”
Hearing his words, Yolanda Taylor looked down at her ring finger on her left hand, “Inside the bag.”
“Put it on and accompany me to a reception after dinner.” It wasn’t a consultative tone on his part, it was an announcement.
Yolanda Taylor had just come back and didn’t want to argue with him at this time, so she took the ring out of her bag and put it on.
The style of the ring was simple, and the one diamond set on it wasn’t particularly ostentatious, but it was specially designed, and there was only one in the world.
Yolanda Taylor didn’t find out about the writing on the bottom of the ring until after her wedding, so she took it off after that night.
It was just that Gwen Fox was always staring at her hand, but whenever he couldn’t see the ring, he would ask her about it, and after that he wanted her to put it on.
Yolanda Taylor had argued with him at first, but when she woke up the next day afterward, she realized the ring was on her hand again, and she hadn’t bothered to argue with him since.
There was nothing to be gained except making it harder on herself.
The car drove slowly and stopped in front of a restaurant twenty minutes later.
It was six in the evening, and there weren’t too many people inside the restaurant.
This was a newly opened Chinese restaurant, and I heard that the owner was a young beauty, Yolanda Taylor had seen it posted by someone else inside her circle of friends, and the specifics were not clear.
Two people just sat down, a woman wearing a cheongsam came over.
The inside of the box was fully heated, it wasn’t cold, Yolanda Taylor had already taken off her jacket, but the white cashmere dress inside was so thick that she even felt a little hot inside the box.
“Young Master Fox.”
The woman came in with a recipe, calling for Gwen Fox, but it was handed to Yolanda Taylor.
“This is Mrs. Fox, right?” The woman set the recipe down and put one hand on Yolanda Taylor’s chair, leaning down slightly to look at her with a wintry smile.
This was the first time Yolanda Taylor had ever seen a woman who could wear a cheongsam so beautifully, with her breasts, waist, and legs, everywhere looking like she was born specifically to wear a cheongsam.
The woman was wearing vintage makeup, and her long chestnut-colored hair with big curls fell down, carrying a fragrance across Yolanda Taylor’s cheeks.
A very nice scent.
“Mrs. Fox, long time no see, I’m Heather, this one’s on me, feel free to order whatever you want, make yourself at home.”
She said, raising an eyebrow as she got up and walked out on her heels.
Yolanda Taylor glanced at Heather’s back, pursed her lips for a second, and retracted her eyes to look at Gwen Fox in front of her, “She’s very pretty, and so am I.”
“She’s Ham Rodriguez’s stepsister.”
Yolanda Taylor’s brow twitched, “The family resembles you as well.”
Gwen Fox knew that she misunderstood, he should have been happy, but looking at her faint look, he couldn’t be happy, so he could only say with a cold face, “Ham Rodriguez likes her.”
Yolanda Taylor was stunned for a moment, and stopped talking when she responded.
It wouldn’t have meant much.
She didn’t say anything, and Gwen Fox didn’t say anything again, probably pissed off because of those words she’d just said.
But Yolanda Taylor didn’t care if he was angry now.
As she walks away, Yolanda Taylor sees Heather again.
It was raining outside, and she seemed to be leaving as well, wearing a dark brown coat and lifting her leg to walk over, “I just forgot to ask Miss Taylor for her contact information, is it convenient to add a WhatsApp?”
As soon as she spoke, Gwen Fox, who was walking in front of her, turned around and pulled Yolanda Taylor straight away.
Heather raised an eyebrow, stood there in the doorway and looked at Yolanda Taylor, gave her number word for word, and then said, “Here’s my cell phone number, stand by, Miss Taylor.”
Heather’s intentions were obvious, and Yolanda Taylor didn’t really like to get involved in other people’s business, but Gwen Fox was just too much of a pain in the ass, and by giving Ham Rodriguez some grief, she might as well give Gwen Fox some grief too.
She silently jotted down her cell phone number and bent inside the car.
“You’re not to contact Heather.”
“Why?”
She inclined her head at him, her slightly furrowed brow all in her disbelief.
Gwen Fox gave her a sullen look, “You’re not on the same page.”
“Is that so?”
She asked faintly, “How do you know if you can be friends without having known each other.”
Hearing her remark, Gwen Fox’s face went a few shades colder.
Yolanda Taylor glanced at him, her mind growing more and more determined to go back and contact Heather.
No one said anything, and silence fell inside the car.
The car gradually drove into the rain and fog, the neon lights outside flashed, Yolanda Taylor took out her cell phone, and put the number she just remembered into the WhatsApp number search.
Soon enough, she found Heather’s WhatsApp, her avatar a red rose against a black background.
Yolanda Taylor sent the verification message and with a tilt of her head, she saw Gwen Fox looking at her, “Are you even going to limit my dating you now?”
Gwen Fox looked at her, seemingly a little helpless, and frowned a little, “It’s best you stay out of her and Ham Rodriguez’s business.”
That Ham Rodriguez guy, he couldn’t even stop him when he was mad.
