Chapter 129 When are you going to let me go?

Book:Welcome To My Life Published:2024-6-3

Yolanda Taylor wasn’t as mean as Gwen Fox after all, and she ended up opening her mouth for porridge.
Gwen Fox never said a word, just hugged her and drank congee around her one bite at a time.
He only stopped after feeding two consecutive bowls of porridge.
Yolanda Taylor ate some congee, her stomach finally felt a bit solid, and her strength returned a bit.
She raised her hand and directly pushed him away, “Put me down!”
This time he didn’t give her a hard time and put her on top of the quilt.
Yolanda Taylor didn’t sit still for a second, and she almost collapsed onto the bed.
Gwen Fox reached out to give her a hand, and just as she sat back down, she raised her hand and slapped him, “I never knew that you were so despicable!”
In the past, Gwen Fox was proud and reserved, and at one time he could not look down on the likes of Joel Smith, not realizing that he had now become such a person himself.
Yolanda Taylor hit him that slap actually does not hurt, she did not have much strength, if not for her expression so cold, her eyes are all hate, he felt that she was not hitting him, but in the caress him.
But there was only hate and resentment in her eyes, and when her eyes hit him, it was like a knife stabbing into his body.
Gwen Fox pulled the covers aside, “Not cold?”
Yolanda Taylor looked at him, “What do you want?”
Hearing her words, he lowered his head and looked at her, his eyes a little cautious, “I just don’t want you to marry anyone else.”
“What does it matter to you who I marry, Gwen Fox?!”
Yolanda Taylor thought it was really funny, he wanted to be with her if he wanted to be with her, he didn’t want to be with her if he didn’t want to be with her, was he Gwen Fox that powerful, did she have to listen to him and obey him in everything?
She didn’t just find it funny, she found it ironic, “Who are you to tell me what to do, Gwen Fox? When you were engaged to Xenia Davis, did I ask you a single question?”
“No, right?”
She sneered, “We’re all adults here, what are you? Kids, grabbing what you like and grabbing what you can’t get?!”
He raised his head to look at her, seeing her eyes reddened and her emotions a bit agitated, he pursed his lips, “Take a bath and rest, I’ll be here to accompany you for the next few days.”
“I don’t want you to accompany me! I want you to accompany me what! I want to get out of here! You’re illegally imprisoning me!”
But no matter what she said, it was as if he didn’t hear her as he got up and walked towards the door.
Before leaving, he stopped at the door and gave her a deep look, “I’ll talk to you when you’ve calmed down.”
“Talk about what? What is there to talk about between me and you?!”
Before she could finish her sentence, Gwen Fox had already pushed the door open and walked out.
Yolanda Taylor was left alone inside the room again, and she looked at the closed door, so angry that tears came out of her eyes.
Yolanda Taylor raised her hand and grabbed the lamp and slammed it against the wall with a thud, and Gwen Fox stiffened slightly.
He looked back at the door behind him for a moment before lifting his leg and stepping out onto the balcony.
Yolanda Taylor dropped everything she could inside the room, and the strength she had managed to gather after drinking two bowls of porridge was also exhausted.
Gradually, she also calmed down, people sitting on the edge of the bed, like a statue, not moving, just sitting straight.
I don’t know how long it took until the door of the room was pushed open again.
The nanny that Gwen Fox had hired back to take care of her was stunned for a moment when she saw everything inside the room, but she quickly responded, “Miss Taylor, you’re not hurt, are you?”
Yolanda Taylor didn’t say anything, she just sat on the edge of the bed with her eyes closed.
Seeing that she didn’t speak, the woman stopped asking.
Those two bowls of porridge were nothing, Yolanda Taylor consumed them quickly after making a scene, but they were a little better than her previous state of not eating anything.
Now that she had a little bit of strength from the two days before when she had pretty much been lying in bed, she calmed down and got her clothes from inside the closet before going into the bathroom to take a shower.
When she came out, Gwen Fox was sitting on the edge of the bed with a bowl of bird’s nest in his hand.
Hearing a noise, he looked up at her, “Hungry?”
The things on the floor that had been broken by Yolanda Taylor had already been packed out, and the table lamp on the bed had been replaced with a new one.
Yolanda Taylor had just gotten out of the shower, and her pale face was a little red from the fumes.
She was already on the thin side, and in just ten days, the person looked even more thin.
The single garment on her body was empty, and her face was small, the redness on her face from the heat had faded, returning to the pallor he had seen when he had come in at the beginning.
Yolanda Taylor stood in the bathroom doorway, watching him without moving again.
Despite the fact that the heat was on, she was still cold from the shower she’d just gotten out of.
But with Gwen Fox sitting on the bed, she didn’t want to go over there.
“Aren’t you cold?”
When she didn’t move, he put down the bird’s nest in his hand, grabbed his jacket and walked over to her.
Yolanda Taylor took a step aside, “Are you having fun like this, Gwen Fox?”
“Clothes on.”
As if he couldn’t hear her, he simply draped the clothes over her.
Yolanda Taylor suddenly felt powerless; she’d fought him for so many days, and had even gone on a hunger strike for four days to force him to come see her.
She stopped talking and lifted her leg and walked back to bed.
Seeing her return to the bed, it was then that Gwen Fox picked up the bird’s nest on the side and fed it to her while blowing on it.
Yolanda Taylor didn’t refuse, she knew he had ways of feeding her and she didn’t need to embarrass herself any further.
“Don’t want to eat it.”
She didn’t like bird’s nest and barely took two bites, her brows couldn’t help but furrow and she even wanted to vomit a little.
“If you don’t like it, don’t eat it.”
He said, and literally put down the bird’s nest without giving her any more trouble.
“When are you going to let me go?”
He’d ruined the wedding, and he’d ruined it again when she and Primo Jones had gotten their marriage license.
Gwen Fox looked at her for a moment, “In a few days.”
He said, paused and raised his hand to touch her face, but she dodged it.
Gwen Fox’s eyes darkened, “What do you want to eat tomorrow morning?”
“A couple days is a couple days?”
The thin lips moved slightly at her words.
He looked at her for a moment before speaking, “Maybe five days, maybe six.”
The exact time would depend on when her ID card and account book could be replaced.
Yolanda Taylor didn’t know what he wanted to do, but since he gave a specific time, she didn’t want to argue with him anymore.
Arguing was pointless, and in this situation now, she was vulnerable, and even if she won, it wouldn’t be half as good for her.
“I’m going to sleep.”
She lifted the covers and lay down, then turned on her side and closed her eyes.
She wasn’t actually sleepy, what was there to be sleepy about when she’d been sleeping every day for the past few days.
But she didn’t want to stay with Gwen Fox, being with him made her feel like she hated and resented him at the same time, and her emotions could get out of control at any moment.
Gwen Fox looked at her for a while, the inside of the room gradually quieted down, he knew that she didn’t want to stay with him, didn’t want to make her feel bad, in the end, he still carried the bird’s nest that he had eaten two bites of and went out.
