Book:Welcome To My Life Published:2024-6-3

Yolanda Taylor originally thought that it was just a small cold, and that she would be fine after two days of lying at home, drinking lots of hot water and taking her medicine on time.
But I didn’t expect the fever really didn’t go down, didn’t go down not to mention, but also burned up to thirty-nine degrees on the second day.
When Primo Jones called her, her voice was hoarse, he heard that something was wrong, but at that time he happened to have something in the field on business, only to let Rhonda’s assistant to come to take Yolanda Taylor to the hospital.
Yolanda Taylor was burning up and wanted to open the door when she heard the doorbell, but she was afraid that it was Gwen Fox, so she simply lay down as if she couldn’t hear it.
On the side of the cell phone ringing non-stop, she felt a little annoyed, but also afraid that it was something out of the store to find her, she had to endure the difficult to pick up the phone and answer the phone, “Hello, it’s me, Yolanda Taylor.”
“Hello Miss Taylor, this is Pacey, Rhonda’s assistant, Rhonda and President Jones instructed me to come over and take you to the hospital, I am now in front of your apartment.”
Yolanda Taylor was stunned for a moment, she seemed to have heard Primo Jones talking about this, but she didn’t listen carefully then, she didn’t realize that he had actually sent someone over.
The other party had arrived at the door, Yolanda Taylor also had to get up and go to open the door.
Once she opened the door, she really saw a woman standing in the doorway, Pacey smiled at her, “Hello Miss Taylor.”
Yolanda Taylor nodded and turned to head inside, “Wait here, I’m going to go change into a dress.”
“Okay.”
Pacey originally thought it was Primo Jones who was too worried about the mess, but now that she saw that Yolanda Taylor’s face really didn’t look very good, she couldn’t help but feel a little worried, “Miss Taylor, do you mind if I wait outside the door? You can call me if you need anything, you don’t seem to be in very good shape.”
Yolanda Taylor’s condition was indeed not very good, after hearing her words, she didn’t refuse and nodded her head into the bathroom.
After changing her clothes, Pacey drove her to the hospital.
On the way, Yolanda Taylor didn’t say much, when she arrived at the hospital, Pacey helped her to go in and found that her body temperature was a bit hot.
When the doctor saw Yolanda Taylor’s appearance, she was sent directly to the fever clinic.
She already had a high fever of almost forty degrees, the doctor injected her with medicine, Yolanda Taylor lay on the hospital bed, took the medicine and fell asleep not long after.
Pacey sat aside and looked at the sleeping Yolanda Taylor, she had to envy her face, she would only be haggard when she was sick, but Yolanda Taylor was like a delicate flower when she was sick, she could attract people to pity her.
She herself is a girl, looking at Yolanda Taylor’s pale face, she can not help but feel distressed.
Alas, it is true that good-looking people are easy to attract people to like.
Yolanda Taylor this sleep is very solid, probably cold medicine has a sleeping effect, she did not even dream.
When she woke up and saw a woman sitting next to the hospital bed, she froze for a moment before remembering that this was Rhonda’s assistant.
Pacey saw her waking up and hurriedly handed over the freshly filled water on the side, “Miss Taylor, have some water.”
It must be said that this assistant of Rhonda’s is really sweet, she slept for more than an hour and was sick, she woke up with dry lips and did not want to say anything.
“Thanks.”
Yolanda Taylor finished the glass of water straight away, Pacey poured her another glass, “Miss Taylor, take your temperature, see if you still have a fever?”
With that, she handed her the thermometer.
It was still a bit of a low-grade fever, but much better than the thirty-nine degrees earlier.
Pacey drove her to have some porridge before sending her back to the apartment, and after watching her take the medicine and lie down, she went inside the kitchen to cook the porridge with the rice cooker.
Yolanda Taylor slept straight through until after 8pm, and when she woke up, she was much more comfortable, and just a little hungry.
Downstairs, the mushroom and chicken congee smelled very good, she smelled that smell, her stomach rumbled a few times, she hurriedly went downstairs.
Walking down the stairs, Yolanda Taylor saw the charging cell phone on the coffee table lighting up, she raised an eyebrow and unplugged it and brought it into the kitchen, looking at the message as she loaded the porridge.
The message was from Primo Jones, asking how she was feeling, presumably because he knew she was asleep and hadn’t called.
Yolanda Taylor sent him a message back, Primo Jones was probably at a dinner party and didn’t have time to look at his cell phone, Yolanda Taylor finished her bowl of congee, and he didn’t send her a message back.
Rhonda’s assistant is really considerate, before she left, she also helped her to prepare the congee for tomorrow morning, wrote down the words with a sticky note on the refrigerator, so that she can eat tonight, wash the pot, and then pour the rice and materials she prepared into the pot, put four bowls of water, press the congee mode on the line.
Such a considerate assistant, Yolanda Taylor felt that if she were a man, she would want to marry her.
Unfortunately, she was a woman.
Alas.
At 9:30pm, Primo Jones called and asked her if her fever had gone down, Yolanda Taylor answered truthfully, and the two of them hung up after a short chat.
After a trip to the hospital, Yolanda Taylor was much more comfortable.
She took a shower and came out, not enough sleep, turned on the heater and hugged the computer in bed to watch a movie.
After ten o’clock at night, the doorbell suddenly rang, Yolanda Taylor’s eyebrows jumped and her face went straight to cold.
Primo Jones was away on business, and there was no one else but Gwen Fox coming to see her in the middle of the night.
She didn’t have to think about it to know what he’d come to see her about, but whatever he did, it wouldn’t change her decision.
She didn’t really want to go down there and open the door, but Yolanda Taylor also knew that if she didn’t open the door, he’d have plenty of ways to make her do it.
Most people were getting ready to go to bed at this hour, and she didn’t want to disturb the neighbors.
Yolanda Taylor pulled her coat aside and put it on before heading downstairs.
The door opened and Gwen Fox pushed right through to her.
He just came in and then slammed her door shut.
Yolanda Taylor subconsciously took two steps back, “What do you want?”
“Are you really going to marry him?”
He looked down at her, those dark eyes deep and dark.
Yolanda Taylor looked up to meet his eyes, her heart inexplicably trembled, but soon, she recovered, “Do you think I would make such a joke in front of so many people?”
Hearing her words, he suddenly raised his leg towards her.
Yolanda Taylor was a little afraid of him, she felt as if Gwen Fox was going to swallow her tonight.
“You stop right there! I’ll call the police if you come any closer!”
But he didn’t stop, one step at a time, forcing her to back up to the couch, where her feet hit the couch and Yolanda Taylor couldn’t back down.
She looked up at him, her face cold but her hands shaking a little, “Get the hell out of here, Gwen Fox!”
She raised her hand and pointed at the door, her voice hoarse.
As if he couldn’t hear her, Gwen Fox raised his hand and clasped it on her shoulder, “Why, Yolanda Taylor, why did you have to marry him?!”
His eyes were glowing red as he said this, and his whole body looked like a raging beast.
Yolanda Taylor shuddered slightly as she sight into those eyes, but soon she came back to her senses, “Don’t you know why, Gwen Fox?”
