Primo Jones met Gwen Fox at the entrance of the building, and when he saw him, the color of Gwen Fox’s eyes was obviously cold.
The two men did not say anything to anyone, early in the morning in the old neighborhood a lot of old people in the exercise, there are school children running down, see standing in the building entrance motionless two people, curiously look at a few eyes, until his parents urged, he hurriedly backpacks to run forward.
“I didn’t realize that Young Master Fox had assets here too?”
He said this sarcastically, what kind of family is THE Fox family, what kind of money is Gwen Fox worth, this neighborhood is shabby and old, and it’s not in some luxury downtown location, only a fool would invest here.
Gwen Fox why will be here, but all know Yolanda Taylor with him that thing people can guess.
Hearing his words, the coldness on Gwen Fox’s face deepened by a few points, the inside of his eyes were gloomy: “What do you have to charge at me, what do you count as laying hands on a woman?”
“Tsk!”
Primo Jones grunted and looked at him and suddenly laughed, “That’s really strange, how am I laying my hands on a woman? Or does Young Master Fox think that Yolanda Taylor, because she’s been with you before, she doesn’t deserve to be with anyone else ever again? That she doesn’t deserve a life of her own, that she doesn’t deserve to get married and have children?”
Primo Jones’ words carried a sting, one word at a time, to the top of his heart.
The expression on Gwen Fox’s face grew colder as he remembered those words from Yolanda Taylor last night, “She doesn’t love you.”
“Young Master Fox is awesome.”
The two were facing each other, neither of them noticed when Yolanda Taylor came down.
When they heard Yolanda Taylor’s voice, Primo Jones and Gwen Fox both subconsciously looked back.
Yolanda Taylor first nodded and smiled at Primo Jones, lifting her leg and walking over to his side before looking up at Gwen Fox coldly, “I love who I love, and I don’t think anyone knows that better than me!”
Primo Jones saw her approach and reached out to take her hand.
The two interlocked their fingers and Gwen Fox’s face stiffened when she saw the hands held together, but quickly recovered, “You don’t love him, I know that.”
He said it with certainty, and when he was done, he gave Primo Jones a cold look before turning and walking away.
Yolanda Taylor looked at his back and shivered a little in anger.
Primo Jones on the side narrowed his eyes, sensing that she was out of sorts before he turned back, “He’s always been so smug.”
Hearing Primo Jones, Yolanda Taylor calmed down a little, “Why are you over here so early?”
She didn’t want to talk about Gwen Fox, she would prefer not to even see him if she could.
But she knew she couldn’t, Gwen Fox still owed her a life and she wasn’t going to let him off that easy! Primo Jones raised his hand and rubbed her back for comfort, “Came by to pick you up, went to get the invitations.”
By the way, the two people’s engagement banquet is next week, the invitation Primo Jones has already let someone write a good, she and Primo Jones both feel that the engagement banquet should be a big half, so this time the banquet is very large, and there are quite a lot of people to be invited.
Primo Jones side of the people have his secretary Rhonda to help, Yolanda Taylor side, invitations still need her to personally send over.
“Have you had breakfast then?”
It’s only eight o’clock now, Primo Jones coming over so early is out of her expectation.
“Ate.”
He gave her another look, “Come on, the invitation is in my car.”
Yolanda Taylor nodded and followed him out.
Yolanda Taylor sent the e-invitation to Dika Rothstein first, and then took the invitation to Martin Anderson himself.
Primo Jones had an early meeting and dropped her off downstairs at Martin Anderson’s office and left.
The receptionist told her that Martin Anderson hadn’t shown up yet, so she had to wait in the parlor.
When Martin Anderson walked in, she was looking out the floor-to-ceiling windows and lost in the traffic.
Coming back to Borden City after four years was a change of pace, so to speak.
“Yolanda Taylor?”
Hearing Martin Anderson’s voice, Yolanda Taylor came back to her senses and walked over with the invitation in hand, “As I said last time, I will definitely deliver the invitation to you in person.”
Martin Anderson raised an eyebrow and reached for the invitation, just as he opened it he saw the two names transcribed.
He glanced at the date and then looked up at her, “With all due respect, I will be there when the time comes.”
Yolanda Taylor smiled, “Remember to bring your girlfriend.”
She knew he was busy and wasn’t going to bother him anymore, “The invitations are here, so I’ll leave you to it and head back.”
Martin Anderson nodded a little and the two looked at each other, Yolanda Taylor smiled and turned towards the door.
“Yolanda Taylor!”
She had just stepped outside when Martin Anderson suddenly came after her.
The sun was a little fierce this past nine, and Yolanda Taylor looked back at him, squinting at the sun, “What’s wrong?”
She stood in the sun with a gentle smile.
Martin Anderson remembered the first time he saw her, she was waiting for Gwen Fox with a parasol by her car.
They hadn’t broken up yet, and she was standing there with her umbrella, smiling and looking at Gwen Fox, who was inside shopping. Yolanda Taylor was so soft and gentle at the time, following Gwen Fox around like a docile kitten.
So many years had passed, and now she was covered in thorns, prone to hurting herself as well as others.
He actually wanted to ask her if she loved Primo Jones, but when he remembered the past, he suddenly felt that it was not necessary, how to say that it was also the person he had once liked, it was better to leave her a little bit of decency and respect.
“Nothing, just want to tell you, it’s not good to take a taxi over here, you’d better call an internet taxi.”
Yolanda Taylor was stunned for a moment, she had been away for almost four years, a lot of things had changed in this city, and when she came back, she had become a guest.
She smiled faintly, “Yeah, I got it, thanks.”
After saying that, she turned around and walked towards the side of a street sign, and lowered her head to call an online car.
The car arrived quickly, and just as she got in, Dika Rothstein’s phone called.
Yolanda Taylor didn’t expect him to call, and when she saw the caller ID, there were a few moments of bewilderment, and it was only after half a second that she pressed answer: ”Hello? This is Yolanda Taylor.”
“Uh-huh.”
Dika Rothstein answered but didn’t say anything.
Yolanda Taylor inclined her head and looked out the car window without speaking or hanging up.
It took a moment before Dika Rothstein on the other end of the line spoke again, “Are you really going to marry Primo Jones?”
“Uh-huh.”
“Yolanda, you don’t, in fact, need to.”
Yolanda Taylor pursed her lips for a second, “I’m sorry, Dika.”
Of all the people who had passed, the one she was most sorry for was Dika Rothstein.
There was a pause before she continued to add, “I’d love to pretend nothing happened and move on with my life, but I can’t.”
Her love she could pretend she had misjudged and fed to the wrong dog, but her mom? Obviously it was so close that she could have taken her away and the two mothers and daughters could have started a new life in a new place and she wouldn’t have become a homeless orphan girl.
She was all alone in the world, with nothing left to lose, and Gwen Fox had given her a full arsenal of vendettas that she couldn’t let go of or throw away.
“I’m not going to your engagement party, and I’m not going to the wedding party.”
Dika Rothstein said, pausing, “I’m in Oman City.”
The word “waiting for you” didn’t come out after all, he didn’t want to burden her.
