Chapter 45 I’m going to leave Borden City.

Dika Rothstein pushed the door open and couldn’t help but frown a little when he realized that the room wasn’t lit, reaching out and pressing the button for the lights on the side.
The room lit up, and Yolanda Taylor on the bed raised her hand to block the view.
“Dinner’s ready.”
Yolanda Taylor dropped her hand and looked at him and nodded, “I got it, thanks.”
She said, taking the coat aside and putting it on, following him downstairs.
The large villa, which used to be occupied by Dika Rothstein herself, now that there was an additional Yolanda Taylor, it didn’t seem to be any different from before.
Dika Rothstein wanted to say something to comfort Yolanda Taylor, but when he looked at her, he didn’t know what to say.
For the first time in his life, he regretted that he hadn’t studied hard enough, so now he couldn’t even say anything comforting.
It was Yolanda Taylor who looked at him after she took a sip of her soup, “I’m going to leave Borden City.”
Dika Rothstein froze for a moment, but quickly responded, “That’s good, I’ve already had people start disposing of my properties here, this city is a bit too cold in the winter for my liking.”
He said and paused, “Where are you planning on going.”
When faced with others, Dika Rothstein had a knack for condescension, but with Yolanda Taylor, he had to open his mouth and ask a straight question.
Yolanda Taylor froze at his words, “I don’t know, haven’t thought about it yet.”
“There’s no rush.”
She seemed to think of something and sighed, “Yeah, no rush either.”
She was left on her own now anyway, and there was nothing anyone could do to her.
The day after Petra’s burial, Yolanda Taylor offered to go out to a hotel by herself.
She was so adamant about it that Dika Rothstein, though worried about her, had to agree.
Yolanda Taylor knew what he was thinking, and before getting out of the car, she looked at him and smiled, “You don’t have to worry about me, I’ve got a lot of things figured out.”
Dika Rothstein hadn’t seen her smile like that in a long time, she did smile the day Petra was buried, it was just harder to smile than it was to cry.
Now it was rare to see her smile so calmly and serenely, Dika Rothstein’s tight heart also loosened a few points: “It’s good that you’ve thought about it, in this world, there are always other people who still care about you.”
“I know.”
She nodded once and reached out to give him a hug, “Dika Rothstein, thank you for these days.”
Without Dika Rothstein, she didn’t know how she would have arranged Petra’s afterlife.
“No need to be so polite, we’ve known each other for nine years at least.”
“It’s been nine years, ah, a long time.”
She let go, not letting him send her again, “I’ll just go in by myself, you’ve had a lot on your plate lately, go get busy.”
Dika Rothstein had been dealing with assets lately and was indeed busy, by the time she arrived, Yolanda Taylor had already seen him take several calls.
After saying that, Yolanda Taylor had already gotten out of the car with her luggage.
Dika Rothstein hesitated for a while, but finally did not get out of the car and followed her into the hotel.
This is a five-star hotel, security is very good, nothing will happen.
Yolanda Taylor had just woken up when she got a call from Beth Garcia.
Inside the phone, Beth Garcia was careful, as if she was afraid of making her sad if she wasn’t careful.
She laughed a little instead, “Beth Garcia, it’s all in the past. By the way, are you free? I’d like to invite you to dinner, thanks for what happened before.”
Beth Garcia also realized that she was the one who caused Yolanda Taylor’s unsuccessful departure. If she hadn’t told Jerome Perot about it, and Jerome Perot had run off to find Gwen Fox, Yolanda Taylor would probably have already started a new life with her mother in another city. Yolanda Taylor is probably starting a new life with her mom in another city by now.
Beth Garcia felt guilty just thinking about it.
When Yolanda Taylor asked her out to dinner, she wouldn’t say no: “I’m up for it, what day do you have in mind?”
“I see that tomorrow is sunny, let’s do it tomorrow, okay?” Beth Garcia nodded her head in response, “Okay, good.”
“Let’s do it at Eston Restaurants, I’ll see you at twelve tomorrow.”
Beth Garcia froze for a moment and had to say yes in response.
The chances of Gwen Fox showing up at Eston Restaurants were still high, and with Yolanda Taylor’s appointment there, it was assumed that she really wanted to get over it.
Hanging up the phone, Yolanda Taylor took the family photo aside and looked down carefully.
Because she had a lunch date with Beth Garcia, Dika Rothstein’s invitation to Yolanda Taylor turned it down straight away.
Hearing that she had a lunch date with a friend, Dika Rothstein was quite happy and told her to go out more often.
Yolanda Taylor laughed and said she might plan to travel next.
Yolanda Taylor saw Gwen Fox when she got out of her cab earlier; he was supposed to be here to talk about something, and he stood out among the group.
Yolanda Taylor looked at him with a blank expression on her face.
Probably noticing her gaze, Gwen Fox inclined his head to look at her.
Those indifferent black eyes were no different from usual, with nothing but indifference in them.
With just one glance, he withdrew his gaze.
Yolanda Taylor also withdrew her gaze and lifted her leg to walk in.
When she entered the booth, Beth Garcia hadn’t arrived yet.
Yolanda Taylor had just had tea served when Beth Garcia pushed the door in, “Yolanda, I’m late, sorry.”
She looked at Beth Garcia and smiled, “No, I’m the one who’s early.” Beth Garcia was relieved to see that she looked fine, “Yolanda, you seem to have lost a lot of weight.”
Yolanda Taylor didn’t deny it, “Maybe, there’s been so much going on for a while, and I wasn’t in a very good mood last week when my mom was buried.”
She said it matter-of-factly, but Beth Garcia was shocked to hear it, “Yolanda, I’m sorry, if I hadn’t told Jerome Perot that you’d asked me to take care of the house, Gwen Fox, he wouldn’t have known that you were going away.”
“It’s in the past, it’s nothing, if he wanted to know, he always would have, sooner or later.”
She said, handing over the menu, “Let’s see what we want to eat.”
Beth Garcia thought there was something strange about Yolanda Taylor, but she couldn’t tell what exactly.
At the last dinner party, Yolanda Taylor’s hysterical look was hard for her to see, but only half a month after the incident, Yolanda Taylor seemed to have completely let go.
Beth Garcia pursed her lips, did not continue to think, took the menu and began to order: “Then I’m not polite.”
“You’re welcome for what.”
Yolanda Taylor added tea for her.
During this time, Beth Garcia saw that she seemed to have really thought about it, and picked out some interesting stories about Borden City recently to tell her.
Yolanda Taylor was amused and smiled as she listened to her tell her about a scandalous incident that had occurred in Borden City’s upper class circles in the past few days.
“Ah yes Yolanda, I heard that Xenia Davis had a car accident with her car, I heard that she got a very long cut on her face, she was already average looking, so now she’ll probably have to go to Korea for plastic surgery!”
Yolanda Taylor raised an eyebrow, “She’s a Davis by name, even if she’s ugly, as long as THE Davis family is around, she can’t marry any worse.”
Beth Garcia sighed knowing it was the truth, “And yeah, she’s really good at casting.”
Hearing her say that, Yolanda Taylor couldn’t help but laugh a little, “Is your family bad, you say that?”
“Not really.”
Beth Garcia smiled sarcastically, in terms of family, the Garcia family wasn’t as good as the Davis family, but it wasn’t that bad either.
The two of them talked a lot, and Beth Garcia even asked Yolanda Taylor to go skiing next week, which Yolanda Taylor didn’t refuse.
Seeing her like this, Beth Garcia finally let go of her heart, the little bit of guilt in the bottom of her heart, so as not to become more and more serious.
