Shourya PoV:
My anger reached its peak, listening to Diya, who asked me to marry Poornima. She is entirely out of her senses. Does she think it’s that easy to marry anyone? My heart still loves only one girl. If I can tie the knot to anyone other than her, I would have married someone else long back. This mad girl can’t understand even that. If I didn’t love her, I would have given her a very tight slap by now and take her home and lock her until she realizes her mistake.
Shit, what happened to me? Why my thoughts are becoming cruel these days? This girl is making me completely insane. I looked at her, whose eyes are filled with tears. I know somewhere in her heart, she trusts me. She didn’t want me to marry someone else, leaving her. I will prove the truth soon to her.
“Diya, no wife asks her husband to marry someone else as you did. Your words may lie but not your eyes. Eyes reflect the true feelings of your heart. Ask me to marry her only when you can stop your tears. Until then, keep this mangalsutra with you,” I said to her, and I ordered my team to send all of them out of station premises.
Everyone left as I said within a week, I will prove the truth, and if I can’t prove, I will marry her. Diya is about to leave, but I held her hand and dragged her to an open place behind the station. She is looking at me with fear.
“Look at me, Diya. Enough of your stupid actions,” I shouted, and she looked at me.
“By evening, you must be at our home, or I know how to bring you to our home. Don’t take my love for granted,” I warned her very seriously, making her shiver at her place.
I have never spoken in this way to her. But I want her to stay at home. Because Poornima and her gang may target her when I try for proofs, it will be easy for me to find evidence if she is at home.
“I… I.. Won.. ‘T.. Won’t… Come,” she said, stammering.
I held her wrist and forced her to get into my vehicle.
“Shourya, this is unfair. Leave me. You can’t take me home forcefully.”
“Shut up. If you open your mouth again, I will close it with mine,” I warned.
I didn’t understand what I said. I don’t know what Diya understood.
“I am your husband. It’s my responsibility to take care of your safety. For that, if necessary, I won’t hesitate to be a bit rude to you. That Poornima is not as innocent as you are. She is using your innocence and stupidity. I will talk to you after proving the truth. Don’t think I will forgive you easily,” I scolded her in a soft tone.
I took Diya home and locked her in the room. I went out to find out the proofs. She will be safe, and now I can prove myself in my style. I won’t leave that Poornima quickly for making Diya shed tears unnecessarily. Every minute I try to make her happy. When she shared her past with me, I promised myself that I wouldn’t let her shed tears anytime in life. I can bear her accusations and foolishness but not her pain. I love her so much. If this mad girl tries hard to make the prediction real, I will surely try my best to make that prediction wrong with my love.
From where should I start? Diya said her neighbors said that I used to visit Poornima very often. But visiting doesn’t mean I had an affair with her. The DNA test, how can my DNA match with her child?? It’s fake. I should start my investigation from that hospital.
Diya PoV:
I sat in my room. Am I behaving stupidly? Is Shourya innocent? My heart still trusts him, but all the proofs are against him. Can Poornima influence everyone this much? How is it possible? She is not rich, nor has the power to influence. Am I missing something which helps me to prove his innocence? I saw his system. I decided to watch the video keenly by opening my mail, where I saved the videos. I switched on his computer, and then the room opened by mom.
“What are you doing, Diya?”
“Mom, I am confused. I want to trust Shourya, but all the proofs are against him,” I said, hugging mom.
“Diya, sometimes in our life, we can’t even trust our own eyes and ears. Trust your heart. Whatever may happen, I want you both to stand together against any challenge that comes into your life. Try to see invisible clues in every proof you saw. You will get the clue,” mom said and went off, leaving me alone.
I opened my mail and played the clipping in which Shourya is close to her. Immediately I got a doubt. Will any girl, records her first night? No way. Then why this girl recorded it? I remembered mom’s suggestion to see invisible clues in the visible proofs.
Though I felt disgusting, I observed the video. Yes, I found the clue. It’s not my Shourya. Because the shadow of the person on the wall is not of Shourya’s, it means the video is fake. I saw another video where Shourya is proposing to her. I observed the surroundings, and it’s a hospital. I found a watermark on the down of the video, and I zoomed it in to see the hospital’s logo. Every criminal thinks they are so wise and commits mistakes. She forgot to erase the watermark leaving a clue to me.
I immediately took the CD and went to mom. I hugged her.
“Thank you, mom. I got the clue to prove our Shourya innocence. I will just come,” I said
“All the best, Diya,” mom said to me.
I went to the hospital. I showed my journalist identity card and asked to show the CC camera footage. As watermark on the video included date too, it made my work easier. They showed the entire video to me, and I copied it to my pendrive and went to the office. With the program editor’s help, we red marked the shadow of the person in the video, which showed the face of Shourya, but the shadow was different. I understood why he proposed to her after watching that CC camera footage of the hospital. The only thing we need to find is DNA reports. I should plan something for that with my team carefully. I planned something and sent one of my colleagues to that hospital where they conducted a DNA test.
