Shourya PoV:
Morning, I woke up from the bed and stretched my hand to hug Diya. But she is not on the mattress. Where is she? She never wakes up so early. I am the one who wakes her up every day. I opened my eyes and looked around to find her. But she is nowhere in the room. Where did she go early in the morning, that too alone in an unknown place? I immediately got up from the bed and went to the corridor to check. Thank God, she is there.
But, what is Diya doing outside in the cold weather? I went to her and patted on her shoulder lightly. She turned towards me.
“Good morning, Shourya, when did you wake up?” She asked, hugging me.
“Good morning, baby. I woke up just now. Why did you wake up so early today? I got worried as I didn’t find you on the bed to hug tightly” I said winking.
“You never change Shourya. Early in the morning, you started your words. Why do you always talk about romance?” She asked pouting.
This is too much. Diya is the one who hugged me first to wish good morning. Even now she is in my arms, hugging me and pouting. But she is asking me. Seeing her pouting and cuteness, I want to make her all mine. But no, I should control myself till she accepts.
“Till today night,” she said, blushing.
“What?”
“I know what you are thinking Shourya. I will become all your’s today after saying my past. With all the love I had on you, I will give myself to you,” Diya said, and I looked into her eyes.
Diya blushed, and her love for me is visible in her eyes. She loves me so much. Finally, I succeeded in making my love fall for me. I am so thrilled as she loves me in the same way as I do.
We had our breakfast, and I am listening to my favourite songs. Diya sat beside me, thinking deeply. I didn’t understand why is she hesitating this much to share her past with me? I am losing my patience again, seeing her dilemma but controlled my anger as I can’t see her tears.
“Shourya,” she called me, and I removed my earphones.
“Tell me.”
“Shourya, I will tell you everything about me. But, if you are unable to trust the facts which I am going to say, please stop judging and leave it. But don’t leave me,” Diya said.
“Diya, tell me if you trust me or leave it. I can’t make promises again and again,” I said harsh words in a soft voice.
Diya leaned towards my shoulder, holding my arm tight. I took her close to me.
“Diya, why are you becoming panic? Whatever it is, I won’t leave you, and my love on you never fades. I can’t repeat this again and again, but you are forcing me to repeat my words.”
“I got married when I was six years old. Dad and mom went to relatives marriage and were returning. On their way, they met with an accident. Mom expired, and dad became disabled. After one year, doctors declared that he would die soon. So, he got me married to his family friend’s son. Dad too died after a few days of my marriage.
I was happy with aunty’s and uncle’s love. Rajat was my husband’s name. Uncle joined him in the hostel as they didn’t want both of us to stay together till we attain a certain age. One day, Rajat went to a picnic, and because of a bomb blast, he expired. From that day, everyone in my village started treating me as a bad omen as I lost my parents in childhood and my husband within a week. Everyone used to go away from me whenever I enter onto the road. Aunty and uncle loved me so much. Though they lost their son, they treated me as their daughter. As they couldn’t tolerate hatred of villagers towards me, they sent me to the hostel for education, and in this way, I would be free from the curses of villagers.
I looked at her, only to find tears in her eyes. I know it’s harrowing to get treated as a bad omen by everyone in her village. I hugged her tightly. To me, she is my angel who brought all the luck to me. How can she be a bad omen when I got united with my family after marrying her? How can she have negative energy in her when she brought all the happiness into my life with her entry? I kissed on her temple.
“Don’t worry, sweetheart. You are my angel, I mean it. I love you,” I said.
“I completed my 2 and came to Mumbai for my degree. I completed my first year very peacefully. But, problems started in my life in the second year of graduation,” she said, closing her eyes.
This is what I want to know. When Diya was in her 2nd year, I went for my training. What happened to her? Why does her life turn upside down completely?
“One day, as a part of the inter-college competition, I came across a few guys from another college. Ranveer and Chitra became good friends to me.
I was so happy with their friendship as it’s pure. We enjoyed a lot, and I felt as if my loneliness was faded completely. But, suddenly, one day, Chitra was found dead. Ranveer and I tried a lot to find out the truth, but we failed. Chitra was a journalist, and her death was a mystery till now. Everyone knew that she was murdered, but culprits proved it as an accident.
Ranveer and I…….. ” I stopped her words.
Chitra?? Is she got murdered? No, why didn’t Ranveer hide about Chitra from me? Did Diya know Chitra? My eyes filled with tears knowing Chitra was murdered. Who the hell is he? Why did they murder Chitra?
“Ranveer and I went to a minister for help in investigating Chitra’s case. But that minister tortured Ranveer and sold me to a prostitute’s company. As I refused to accept that, I was starved for three days and then….. ”
“Then?” I asked, clenching my fist.
“Then, they marked their company logo on my back, and they threw me on a bed when I was so weak and unable to confront them. I was almost unconscious, and then I saw a guy coming towards me. I got shocked recognising him as Rajeev.”
“Rajeev? What do you mean? How do you know him?” I yelled at her.
Is she telling the truth or using my love and trust in her to make me forgive Ranveer? Is she trying to create a story about Rajeev to support Ranveer? If she does so, I won’t forgive her. She has no right to blame my friend, Rajeev. I know his character well.
