Diya PoV:
Last three months, Shourya was so busy with Ganga’s case and drugs case. He didn’t give any time to me. Though I am a bit disappointed, I still understood that he is busy with his job.
Shourya came home after the judgment. I thought of asking Shourya for an outdoor dinner. I want to spend some quality time with him. Shourya didn’t look at me. His behavior says he is outraged. However, he didn’t say anything to me.
“Shourya, are you free in the evening today?” I asked him.
“No,” he replied immediately.
“Tomorrow?” I asked
“Enough of your drama, Diya. End it at least now,” Shourya shouted at me.
“Drama? Why are you talking like this, Shourya? I didn’t understand your words,” I said.
“Why did you go to Ranveer’s house? Tell me the truth,” Shourya yelled at me, holding my arm tightly.
I understood the reason behind his anger. I stayed calm.
“Do you think that I am incapable of solving my problem? Is it the reason for approaching my enemy Ranveer to solve it? I prefer death than surrendering before a criminal like Ranveer.”
I never thought that Shourya is incapable, but I want him to be happy. I didn’t request Ranveer. When Ranveer asked me to help Ala, I agreed immediately. But after two days, I got an idea to tell Ranveer to free Shourya from fake complaints for assisting Ala to recover fast. I accepted to treat Ala just with humanity, and I regret asking a favor for that. But, I want Shourya to be happy.
“Shourya, I never thought like that about you. Please listen to me,” I tried to speak but stopped seeing his seriousness.
“I always expected to get a wife who understands and trusts me. Not the one who insults me before my enemy. Enough Diya, after four months, we will apply for divorce,” he said, shaking my world.
“Divorce? What are you talking about, Shourya?”
“Yes. We can’t stay together when you have no trust in me and can’t understand my feelings. I didn’t want any conflicts between us. Let’s get separated before we lose respect for each other,” Shourya said, breaking my heart.
“Ok. As you wish. I will leave the house right now. I can’t live with a person who misunderstands me,” I said seriously in frustration and the pain inflicted by his words.
“What? Do you mean that I didn’t understand you? I always understood you because I loved you. I love you from the college days, and when I returned from training, I searched everywhere for you. I didn’t find you, and I stayed single as I couldn’t forget you. When I saw you after four years, I felt damn happy. Unexpectedly we got married.
I tried hard to make you accept me. I even thought to divorce you for your happiness. Though I read about you and Ranveer on the internet negatively, I never asked you. Because I understood you, and even now, I am damn sure that my wife never does anything wrong,” Shourya said in anger.
I tried to understand Shourya’s words. Does he mean that it’s me whom he loved in college? He knew a few things about my past too, but still, he trusted me. I am the only one he loved, and he believes me to that extent where he didn’t believe even the news and photos printed by all the newspapers and websites.
I shed happy tears for getting Shourya as my husband, who never questioned me anything even after knowing my past. Shourya looked at my tears.
He immediately wiped them.
“Diya, please don’t cry. When the matter is related to Ranveer, I can’t control my anger. I lost my sense, but it hurts me a lot if I see your tears. Please don’t cry,” Shourya said, hugging me.
“I love you,” I said, and Shourya looked at me as if he couldn’t believe me.
“I don’t want a divorce. I want you, mom, and dad. I won’t go anywhere. I won’t give a divorce. I will kill you if you say that again,” I said seriously.
Shourya didn’t say anything for a few minutes but just stared at me. He then pulled me closer and kissed me deeply. I held his collar tight, accepting him completely. He broke the kiss and looked at me with love.
“I love you, Diya. I waited for seven years to say this to you. If I would have said this before, I think you would have never faced those problems which you had gone through,” Shourya said.
“I love you too. You are not going to divorce me, right?” I pouted.
Shourya smiled and cupped my face. He placed his lips on my forehead.
“Never. Am I a fool to lose my angel once again? I won’t let it happen, even in my dreams. Even now, I regret not being with you in your tough times. I won’t allow it to happen ever in life. Whatever it is, good or bad, I never leave this hand. I promise.”
Shourya held my hands between his hands and kissed them. He took me for dinner. He didn’t drag the matter asking why I approached Ranveer. He left that matter, but I decided to reveal everything to him soon. Though he chose not to ask me about my past or my relation with Ranveer, I must tell the truth to him as his wife.
The next day we were about to go to the office but stopped seeing Ranveer with Ala. Ranveer came to our home. I prayed to God to stop the fight between Shourya and Ranveer.
“Why did you come here to my home?” Shourya shouted at Ranveer.
Mom and dad came to the hall listening to Shourya’s shouting.
“I came here to invite my friend and his family to my marriage,” Ranveer said.
“I already made it clear to you that I am not your friend anymore,” Shourya said.
“Shourya, it’s tough breaking a few relationships,” Ranveer said.
Ranveer went to mom and dad. He and Ala took blessings from them and gave the wedding card.
“Mom and dad, I hope you don’t mind me calling you like this.”
“No, Ranveer, you are always God given a son to us inspite of the conflict between you and Shourya,” Dad said.
Shourya clenched his fist. I got scared of him. What if he decides to leave this house again as he is angry with mom and dad?
“Thank you, dad. Mom and dad, this is Ala, your would-be daughter in law. We both don’t have parents. I hope you both will attend my marriage as my parents. Shourya and Diya, you are good friends to me forever. I am heartfully inviting you all to attend my marriage as my family,” Ranveer said.
