Not only that, but Adrian shouted as he ran:
-Brother, the witch is back.
The scream reddened Diana’s cheeks.
“Damn child.”
It took a lot of effort for her to control her facial expression and try to look kind as she called out to Adrian, who was already halfway there.
-Adrian!
Adrian stopped with his fingers gripping the railing, and looked askance at her,
-What?!
The look in his eyes was completely devoid of the fondness he used to have.
Children were very extreme in their feelings, they loved what they wanted to live with and hated what they wanted to see die for. Adrian was now in a state where he could be described as a raving lunatic.
As soon as he saw Diana, his body shuddered unconsciously at the thought of the times he had been used by her.
Diana had just come down the stairs to approach him when Adrian immediately shouted at the top of his lungs:
-Don’t move, stay there and say what you have to say. Don’t come near me.
Seeing that he was resisting, Diana could only grit her teeth and hold it in. Then she tried to smile at him and told him:
-Adrian, I know you hate me very much. I didn’t control my temper before and it hurt you. I admit my mistake and I apologize, can you forgive me? -she furrowed her eyebrows in a sad expression- You were raised with me, how could I really want to hurt you? At that moment I just felt so angry and sad, you don’t even know how those people humiliated me at the party. Sofia sarcastically called me an adopted daughter.
She exaggerated the situation to look miserable in hopes of gaining Adrian’s sympathy, but the boy’s impression of her was bad enough.
He blinked and said plainly:
-I think Sofia is right and you are lying.
Both the boy’s childish voice and his words made Diana almost go mad with rage.
Adrian didn’t wait for her to say anything else and quickly went downstairs.
-Are you trying to trick me again? It won’t work, I’m not an easy child to fool,” the little boy muttered as he ran.
He didn’t even lower the volume of his voice, and all his words fell on Diana’s ears, who clenched her fingers with a crunch.
Her grandmother was right, a conventional apology was useless, she had to be cruel
“Since Adrian told me that, I’ll start with him.”
The night before the variety show shoot began, the crew arrived at the Espina family to set up the cameras in various locations.
Albina watched them from the side with a frown.
Seeing this, Umberto grabbed her by the shoulders and asked her in a whisper:
-What’s the matter, aren’t you feeling well?
-No,” Albina shook her head as she looked at the person the cameras were testing. I just feel like my life is being watched when there are cameras set up all over the house and everything has to be streamed live.
She wasn’t an artist, and she really felt very uncomfortable in a room full of cameras.
-It’s only for a few days,” Umberto smoothed her hair gently and whispered in her ear. When the filming is over, I’ll kick Diana out of the Espina family for good.
Albina reluctantly agreed and pulled him through the scope of the camera.
-What exactly have you and my brother found out in the last few days? I’ve always had the feeling that my brother’s attitude towards Diana is getting worse and worse. If he appears like that in front of the camera, those viewers will scold him.
-Haven’t you always disliked Diana? Besides, with a personality like his, he would never pretend in front of the camera. Relax, he’s not in show business and he doesn’t feed off the public, nothing they say will have any effect on your brother.
Umberto’s words did not relax Albina at all, rather her frown deepened.
She didn’t like others judging people she liked. Even if her own brother didn’t mind, she didn’t want anyone to denigrate him.
Umberto saw what she was thinking and squeezed her cheek.
-Well, I’ll get him to calm down a bit. Don’t worry, I’ll give you a big surprise when the show is over. When this surprise comes out, the audience will not only not scold your brother, but will praise him for his true nature.
His tone was so mysterious that it intrigued Albina. She was even insisting that he tell her.
Umberto snorted.
Albina couldn’t know these things beforehand, otherwise she would never be able to control her temper during the shooting.
Umberto didn’t care if Hector came off badly, but he couldn’t let Albina find out.
-Just remember, if Diana denigrates your adoptive parents in front of you, don’t fall for it. She’s purposely trying to provoke you.
Albina took it to heart and nodded seriously.
-Don’t worry, I won’t get angry.
The next day, first thing in the morning, the program’s cameras were in action.
As the program was promoted in advance and heated up for a long time, many viewers were watching.
The program featured four celebrities who broadcast their lives live around the clock, giving the public a glimpse of what they were really like in private.
Since its inception, the show had invited little-known stars, and had rarely featured big names.
Diana was still here because of her vanity, wanting to flaunt her life and cement her image as rich and famous. She thought this program was a sure thing and would bring her a wave of fame, but she never expected Albina’s appearance.
She went from daughter of the Espina family to adopted daughter, and the news spread from the small circles of high society to the whole world.
Because of this dramatic twist, the program became popular and hogged the top search positions for most of the last few days.
The director of this program had a gift and showed the panorama of the Espina family, the buildings and the backyard when the camera started working.
The Espina family was a family with a strong heritage that had been passed down for generations, had a simple population and a family that was not extravagant or wasteful. The family home was not as ostentatious as that of other members of the gentry and did not look glorious, but rather elegant in every way.
In front of the cameras, it didn’t even look as extravagant as the homes of some of the celebrities who had attended the show earlier.
Indeed, pop-ups appeared with many questions.
-Is this the Espina’s house? It looks like a small house and not a mansion.
-Could it be that the Espina family doesn’t value Diana as an adopted daughter and deliberately sent her to another house so she wouldn’t shoot in the main house?
