Chapter 616: Expelled from the Espina family

Hearing her words, Albina’s face was frowning.
-Doria, don’t you remember? My last name is Espina and I am the daughter of the Espina family. This is my house. I don’t need to take anything from Diana. Is there a problem with me coming back to my house?
Doria looked at her with red eyes and undisguised repulsion.
-But since the age of two you’ve disappeared and been replaced. Miss Diana has lived here for twenty years, why is it that after your return everyone has changed? You are a pest, just as your adoptive parents died for you…..
Before she even finished her words, Umberto lunged to kick her and she fell.
Doria slipped a meter and couldn’t get up in a moment because of her age.
Umberto was furious and looked at her with indignant eyes.
-Witch! How dare you say that!
Hector was also trying to teach her a lesson, but he didn’t think Umberto would have reacted faster than him.
Doria stood up painfully because of the pain in her ribs. She was fearful and didn’t dare say anything.
Bianca gave her an angry look.
-Did you treat Albina like that because of Diana?
Doria glanced at Umberto fearfully, nodded her head and said:
-Yes. I have cared for Miss Diana for twenty years, but for Albina only two years. Therefore, I am not very fond of her. As I saw her afflicting Miss Diana, I lost my mind.
Bianca laughed sarcastically out of indignation.
-Who do you think you are? You’re just a maid. You have no standing to intervene in our family affairs.
Bianca was so angry that she spoke sour words. She was offended by what Doria had said, about Albina being replaced by Diana, about her being a plague and killing her adoptive parents….
All the words were like a needle that stung Bianca’s heart. Because her beloved daughter was criticized by a maid with such hurtful and disgusting words, she even wanted to kill Doria.
-I think you are wrong.
Bianca took a deep breath and gave a glance at Doria and Diana, who was cowering beside her.
-So I’ll tell you the truth. All of us Thorns cannot allow Albina to be replaced by Diana. We treat Diana as our daughter because we pity her, but she will never match Albina.
Bianca said it directly and did not care if her words might hurt Diana. She had said the same words to her when she was adopted. However, Diana wrongly estimated her place and tried to possess what did not belong to her. This led to the maid being confused.
Bianca was remorseful. Had she known this outcome, she would not have adopted Diana or left Doria in the house. She was very unhappy.
-Diana, move out of the house at the end of the variety show and don’t come back unless you have important business.
Bianca finally decided to say the harsh words.
Diana suddenly raised her head and shouted:
-Mother!
She didn’t think Bianca would throw her out of the house even if Doria didn’t denounce her.
Diana looked around her. The servants lowered their heads in silence, Antonio was with a serious face as always while Bianca showed her anger and did not look at her.
Hector and Adrian looked satisfied, Albina leaned on Umberto’s chest and looked at her with indifference.
Diana was bitter because no one was on her side. No, she almost forgot Doria, who was also in the same situation as her.
Diana lowered her head as if obeying Bianca’s decision in silence while she secretly gritted her teeth and her hatred increased.
-Mother, what do we do with Doria? -asked Hector.
Bianca wrinkled her brow. Although Doria had ordered Carmen to destroy Albina’s dress, this was not worth calling the police.
-Have her make up the cost and get out of the house today.
Hector nodded his head and believed this was the most appropriate punishment. Although Doria had no children, she had worked many years for her family and was able to make up for it with the money she accumulated over the years.
Doria did not dare refuse the Espina’s, so she dutifully compensated him, gathered her things and left the house for the day. When she was leaving she took a large trunk by herself and no one came to see her off. Neither did her beloved Diana.
After Doria left, Carmen asked Hector fearfully:
-Sir, the jade?
Hector glanced at her and said calmly:
-I tricked you. There was no jade there.
Carmen looked at him astonished.
-Although the jade was not stolen, the truth is that you destroyed the dress, so you will also leave. For your mother’s sake, we won’t look into your responsibility.
Carmen understood that this was the greatest generosity she could receive. So, she said nothing and went back to gather her things and leave.
Everyone was tired from the problems of the last few days and after settling the matter, they returned to their rooms to sleep.
Umberto was originally going to return to Sogen City with Albina tomorrow, but they decided to stay to watch Diana’s variety show. They were afraid that Diana would do something to harm Albina.
Since some fans were so fanatical and could do all things for their idol, they had to prevent it.
Bianca agreed with them. The truth was that she didn’t want her daughter to leave so soon. With the twenty years without seeing each other, she wanted to accompany her more.
As Adrian was walking up the stairs, he noticed Diana’s room next to him and remembered the wicked look she had when she hurt him. He was so afraid that he didn’t dare to go upstairs, so he chased Hector to sleep with him in the last days.
Diana gritted her teeth every time she saw him. She used to think about seeking some time alone to apologize to Adrian in the evening, but she didn’t expect that he wouldn’t give her any chance.
Diana returned to the room and called Doria.
The call was answered quickly and Diana assumed Doria was outside when she heard the beeping of cars.
-Miss, I knew you would be worried about me.
Doria’s voice sounded hoarse, as if she was moved.
Diana opened her mouth slightly and said:
-Thank you for not telling on me today.
-You don’t need to thank me. It’s my pleasure to protect you.
Doria’s face looked affectionate. She looked at the cars and even though she couldn’t find a shelter and would sleep on the street, she didn’t feel any resentment towards Diana.
Diana was puzzled. She couldn’t understand why Doria could do that for her. Although she had cared for her for twenty years, she was not her real daughter.
She reflected for a moment, remembered something and said dubiously:
-Doria, do you have a place to live? I have a house that the Espina’s don’t know about. You could live there.
