Jaime’s face relaxed a little after hearing this. He was still a little dissatisfied, but he had to admit he was right.
These things were time sensitive and as long as they weren’t deliberately guided, the heat would pass and the cybernauts would slowly forget.
-Okay, do what you say. Move quickly and don’t take too long.
Jaime sounded impatient and waved him off.
Seeing that he was finally satisfied, the PR Manager breathed a sigh of relief and turned to leave the office.
On his way out, he bumped into Pedro.
Pedro entered Jaime’s office upon seeing the PR Minister’s expressionless face and sweaty look.
-Primo, you don’t have to be so hard on people, the development of the story is something none of us expected…..
Jaime knew this man was looking at his own jokes. He had caused this incident, and he still had the nerve to approach.
-What are you doing in my office? If it’s to ridicule me, you can leave now!
Peter paused for a moment at his blunt words. Now Jaime had made no secret of his dislike for him.

Jaime rolled his eyes and hooked a finger at him.

Pedro hesitated, but curiosity overcame everything, and he moved closer to him to put his ear to it, only to hear Jaime whisper:

Not hearing what he expected, Pedro’s face instantly darkened and he took a few steps back.
-Jaime, are you three years old? How childish.
Jaime sat back in his chair. He hadn’t thought of telling Pedro from the beginning, if his false identity was revealed, Pedro would take the opportunity to kick him out of Grupo Seco and then he would get nothing out of it.
Pedro also saw that he was playing with himself and got angry.
-You deserve to be made fun of on the Internet, you’re such a dog!
Having said this, he was about to leave in a fit of rage.
Like a flash of lightning, a sudden thought flashed through Jaime’s mind and he stood up abruptly from his chair, calling out to Pedro:

Pedro stopped in his tracks and turned his head to look at him.

Jaime approached him.

Pedro had been fooled once and did not want to be fooled a second time, so he said with contempt:
-You are trying to trick me again!
-No,” Jaime nodded with a straight face. I just thought about it and Alfredo’s intentions don’t benefit you or me, so I think we can join forces.
He didn’t know if it was the seriousness of his face or the content of his words, Pedro was then convinced that he really wanted to tell him.
-You said so.
Jaime hesitated for a moment, closing and locking the office door behind him.
Pedro’s body tensed at the sight of this maneuver, and for a moment he thought Jaime was trying to kill him.
After all, the relationship between the two was strained.
Jaime had become more cautious than ever since he heard Alfredo and his secretary, and checked that everything was all right before approaching Pedro and telling him:
-Actually, I have a twin brother.
At this news, Pedro’s eyes were surprised and full of disbelief.
-You are talking nonsense.
This was outrageous. It had been more than twenty years since Jaime had returned to the Seco family, and if there really was a twin brother, he couldn’t believe that Alfredo had been able to restrain himself from picking him up.
“Even if Alfredo doesn’t pick it up, at least it will reveal something.”
Seeing his disbelief, Jaime sighed.
-The truth is, I only found out a short while ago.
-You’re really talking nonsense,” Pedro grunted and looked him up and down. You lived with your parents until you were eight, how could you not know you had a twin brother?
-That’s why I haven’t wanted to talk about it, it’s just so scandalous that I’m worried you won’t believe it.
Jaime turned his back to Pedro and looked out the window at the blue sky and the clouds, then said in a sorrowful voice:
-As you know, my parents were always in hiding, so they separated us when we were born so Alfredo wouldn’t find out. The Seco family wasn’t peaceful then either, and after my father left home, many people coveted Alfredo’s family fortune.
Pedro felt a bit vain upon hearing this, and indeed it was true, his mother, Stephanie Seco, also wanted the Seco family fortune.
Jaime turned his back without seeing his expression and continued in a trembling voice:
-So not only were there not only Alfredo’s people looking for my parents, but there were others trying to turn against them. My parents endured the pain of separating us, just thinking that if something happened next, they could save one of us. They even hid it from me, and then my parents died too soon to tell me the truth. I always thought I was an only child, and only recently learned the truth from Alfredo.
Jaime spoke with so much reason and logic that Pedro found it somewhat credible and said anxiously:

Jaime turned and nodded with a somber look.
-You guessed right, Alfredo wants that brother of mine back. Lately he’s not happy with me, he doesn’t like me to listen to him and he wants a new heir, that’s why the project I had in my hands he transferred it to you.
He looked at Pedro, and said seriously:
-Peter, you are a pawn! A pawn who will open the way to that brother of mine!
Pedro was a bit in a trance, shocked and with a fine pain welling up in his heart.
Pedro was not immortal, he could not free himself from desire, and he also wanted the Seco family.
But what Pedro wanted more than the Seco family’s property was Alfredo’s approval.
In his mind, Alfredo was the old man he respected the most. Alfredo was always tense and unsmiling, but he taught him with great patience.
There were many memories from his childhood that he could not recall, but Pedro always remembers how his earnest grandfather taught him to write and speak.

Pedro’s fingers clenched his shirt to his chest, feeling a bit bewildered and wondering what good all his years of perseverance had done.
In Alfredo’s mind, couldn’t he work harder and respect him more than the Seco family bloodline?
Jaime saw his dazed face and was glad, and suppressing the emotion in his heart, he said in a deep voice:
-I was just like you when I heard about this. I didn’t think that after all the years I had grown up next to Alfredo, all those years of affection, I would still be no better than someone I had never met. I’m not happy about it, so, Pedro, let’s join forces.
Then he whispered seductively:
-When I get the Dry Group, I’ll give you half, and I’ll never let you lose.
