Chapter 423: Passing her off as the real thing

Book:The Blind Wife Published:2024-6-3

Albina wanted to go and chat with Ariana, but she had been too busy toasting and being taken around by the Santangels to meet people, and in the end she didn’t get the chance to go.
It was rare for Emily and Morena to come, so she had to take advantage of it and spend more time with them.
She was about to walk towards them when a tall figure suddenly stepped in her way.
Albina froze for a moment, looked up and met Miguel.
She was about to smile when she suddenly thought of Sandra, her smile hardened a little and she said to him:
-Miguel, is something wrong?
-Can’t I talk to you if nothing is wrong?
Seeing Albina freeze, he laughed lightly again.
-It’s a joke, are you free to talk to me now?
-Yes, come with me,” Albina nodded at his expectant look.
She led Miguel to a slightly quieter spot, and when she turned her head to look at him again, the smile on her face had returned to its natural state.
-Miguel, you’ve been looking good lately. Has your body fully recovered?
Miguel nodded. His eyes kept looking at Albina, and his voice was slightly low.
-Yes, it’s all healed. I’ve been treating my body well.
Albina didn’t know how, but she felt that Miguel gave people a sense of oppression.
She shifted her body uncomfortably, avoiding his gaze.
-That’s good, I’m relieved you’re healthy.
After saying this, they both fell silent and the atmosphere was a bit awkward for a while.
Albina didn’t know what was going on. In the past when she and Miguel were dating, she felt especially relaxed, but now she felt very uncomfortable.
It was true that after something like a confession, it was impossible for them to go back to being like before, like normal friends.
It was Miguel who was the first to break the awkwardness, he had two wine glasses in his hand and handed one of them to Albina.
-Have a drink. I wish you a successful engagement.
Albina froze for a moment and said:
-I’m sorry, Umberto wouldn’t let me drink the wine. When I made a toast just now, he replaced it with plain water.
She didn’t mean anything else when she said this, she just wanted to explain why she couldn’t drink.
But to Miguel’s ears it sounded very harsh.
He put the glass back and said in a slightly cautious voice:
-Can I give you a hug then? Just like a hug from a friend.
Albina felt a little disturbed by that. The first person she saw when her eyes healed was Michael.
At that time, he was kind and warm.
But now he didn’t even dare to look at her and was cautious about asking for a hug.
Albina sighed and took the initiative to step forward, hugging his shoulder and caressing it gently.
It was a very polite hug, without any ambiguity.
Michael’s body stiffened for a moment, he could see her white shoulders and smell her fresh scent.
He breathed heavily, his heart beating very fast.
The embrace lasted only a few seconds. As Albina was about to let go and speak, she suddenly felt a pain in her neck and fainted.
Before closing her eyes, she could only see the blurred figure of Miguel. The look on his face was unreadable, but she could feel a chill.
It was clearly a scorching hot day, and Albina closed her eyes in disappointment.
Before she collapsed, Miguel wrapped his arms around her waist and hugged her.
Although he was now a little thinner than before, he was still much taller than Albina and almost his entire body was enclosed in her arms.
Michael buried his head in her neck and rubbed her affectionately, showing a sickly satisfaction on his handsome face.
At that moment, the sound of heels echoed in her ears.
Michael’s eyes sharpened as he looked over, and his body tensed, but he breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the familiar dress.
-Did anyone see you coming? -Sandra asked casually.
Then she looked down at the unconscious Albina in her arms and said in a complicated voice:
-I really don’t know whether it’s her luck or her misfortune that she likes you.
-Don’t say such nonsense and change your clothes!
After saying that, Miguel picked up Albina and headed straight to the back garden.
Sandra hesitated for a moment, but then followed him.
Because Camilo and Umberto were close, she had followed her brother to the Santangel Family many times and was very familiar with many places.
There was a very hidden place in the back garden that used to be Umberto’s secret base and had been preserved until now.
He headed straight to that place, going quite far away from the party.
Miguel carefully set Albina down on the ground and looked at her with avidity and restraint for a long time before retreating, and when he saw Sandra, his eyes were cold again.
-Help her change her clothes and be very careful,” remembering what Sandra had said earlier at the party, he fixed his eyes on her and deliberately warned. Don’t do anything else, okay?
-If you’re not sure, go change his clothes yourself,” Sandra let out a cold laugh.
Miguel said nothing, but his eyes were extremely oppressive.
Sandra was a little stressed by his look and said:
-Understood, I’ll be careful.
After saying that, she entered the small hidden room.
Albina was lying quietly on the bed, her face was delicate and peaceful like a sleeping beauty from a fairy tale.
Sandra squatted down next to her and looked at her carefully, she wanted to know why so many people liked this woman.
But the more she looked at her, the more she was surprised. He used to think she was already pretty, but she couldn’t even compare to Albina.
This person seemed to be the most perfect work of God. Whether it was her face or her body, there was nothing about her that wasn’t exquisite.
Sandra felt a little frustrated when Miguel’s impatient voice came from the door.
-Move quickly, don’t be long.
She turned her head and saw through the doorway that Miguel had his back to them, probably impatient because he was slow to hear the sound of a change of clothes.
The door had been left open at Miguel’s request, fearing it might be harmful to Albina.
Sandra looked at both of their clothes and her fingers were moving towards Albina.
After a while, Sandra said sweetly:
-I am finished.
As soon as the words were out of her mouth, Miguel turned around and pushed the door. His first reaction was to look at Albina on the bed.
Seeing that she was already wearing Sandra’s robe and that there was nothing wrong with her body, he breathed a sigh of relief.
He was about to say a few words to Sandra, but when he saw how she looked, he frowned fiercely.
Sandra had not put on her dress, her white shoulders were bare and her bra hung somewhat untidy from her body.
She clutched her chest with the clothes, revealing a wide area of skin, and said with a hint of temptation:
-Mr. Eagle, I can’t reach the back zipper – can you help me?
She really only bore a slight resemblance to Albina. She wore the same dress, but showed very complacent eyes.
Miguel’s eyes averted in disgust.
-Sandra, behave yourself if you don’t want to be expelled from school.
Sandra saw his look of disgust and all the ambiguity in his eyes disappeared. She angrily turned around and quickly zipped up her back.
-I’m dressed!
Miguel didn’t bother to look at her, his eyes were only on Albina. He carefully lifted her up and said to Sandra:
-Now that the party is almost over, you should know what to do next. Be careful and don’t let anyone find out anything before I at least leave, understand?
