The next morning, Julio woke up. He had a hangover, and his head ached badly.
He sat up supporting his forehead with his hand. He smelled alcohol on his body and the clothes, disheveled, were from yesterday.
He looked at the bed and noticed that the woman who was supposed to lie here was missing. He touched the blanket, which was cold, as if not used last night.
Julio’s eyes opened. He got off the bed and rushed into the living room calling for Romina. She was not in the living room. There were leftovers and bottle of wine left on the table. Everything was messy.
Julio had a bad feeling.
Romina was a tidy person, it was not possible to let the leftovers stay here. He looked around the house and could not find her.
He sat surprised on the sofa. Suddenly something occurred to him and he looked at the sofa.
The suitcase disappeared. At this moment, he was sure she was gone.
He couldn’t believe it. Last night he had promised her that Romina didn’t leave, why was he regretting it? He didn’t understand. It hurt him too much to think about it.
His expression was cold. He was stroking his temple with a frown. His pulse was getting closer to him. He felt something would happen, but he didn’t know what it was, so he was annoyed.
As he searched for her, he checked every part of the house. Except for clothes, nothing had been taken, even the cell phone.
Romina was staying by his side, it wasn’t for the money.
He couldn’t get over it at the thought of Romina. He put all the blame on Yolanda.
The reason she left was because of Yolanda. She was scared, that’s why she left at night.
She went to the company.
Yolanda stayed at the company all night keeping vigil. She was sleeping on the sofa when Julio woke her up.
She opened her eyes and saw Julio’s angry face.
Yolanda looked at the clock. It was only six o’clock. She laughed,
-Why are you coming so early? I thought I could only see you in the afternoon and you’re in bed right now.
Julio looked at her angrily,
-Shut up.
He took a deep breath and said quietly,
-Romina left.
Yolanda was surprised and laughed,
-She’s a smart woman. She’s better, or she could only suffer.
Julio’s expression was colder,
-It’s all your fault. If you hadn’t hit her in the middle of the street, she wouldn’t have left.
Yolanda was annoyed by the lack of sleep and couldn’t control herself when she heard this,
-Are you crazy? I am your daughter, and that woman is just a whore. You reproach me because of that woman. Don’t you know she left because our company encountered the crisis?
-You always think that others have bad intentions. She doesn’t want my money. She left without taking anything.
He thought Romina was a good woman. He himself was not sure if his wife and daughter left when he was bankrupt. He loved her more for her disappearance.
Yolanda was surprised and frowned. He saw the woman the day before. He thought she approached Julio at someone’s behest or for money.
But she left without taking anything, which was very strange.
What did she want? Not for property, but for Julio?
Yolanda had a bad feeling, but she couldn’t tell. She felt increasingly anxious.
She didn’t like that Julio was thinking about that woman in front of her.
Julio was more useless every day. He acted like that just because of a woman, nor did he care about the company.
But he was the owner of the company, so Yolanda had to put up with him,
-I’m tired from working all night. I just want to sleep. Look at the Santangel Group. We can’t go through the crisis one more time.
Julio promised her impatiently. He didn’t think his company would have a problem. Grupo Seco had published the ad and nothing had happened yesterday.
Maybe Umberto had not yet come up with the conspiracy against them.
Yolanda was lying on the couch. She was sleepy but couldn’t sleep.
She always thought that something bad would happen. She remembered what happened the day before and suddenly it occurred to her that Jaime Seco would leave today.
He got up in a hurry and called him.
He soon answered her,
-Yolanda, what’s wrong?
She pressed her cell phone closely listening to his voice and did not want him to leave.
At first, she didn’t want him, but after a few dates, she fell in love with him because he treated her well.
She knew he wouldn’t be back in two years. she calmed down for a while and answered:
-Are you leaving now?
Jaime was in the car. It was not an honor for him to leave.
She felt more unpleasant when Yolanda talked about it.
But he didn’t get angry:
-Yes. What’s wrong?
Yolanda took a deep breath:
-I couldn’t fire you under this situation. Take care of yourself.
Listening to her soft voice, Jaime calmed down,
-Of course. You too. I can’t help you and I’m ashamed of that.
-I know you’ve already done a lot.
You helped her a lot. The company was saved from the Santangel Group’s coup last time was because of his help, that he asked her grandfather. So she was very grateful to him.
She only hoped that Jaime would be able to control Grupo Seco two years later, and Grupo Carballal had real support. She wanted to marry him and she would be the mistress of the Seco family.
Jaime felt a twinge of remorse. The driver hurried him. He could only hurry to say goodbye to her,
-I have to go. You know where I am. If you’re in trouble, you can come to me.
Jaime hung up the phone before Yolanda answered.
He wanted to leave when he heard someone’s irony.
-Jaime, I didn’t expect you to leave Sogen City one day like a dog with your tail between your legs.
