Chapter 200: She witnessed how miserable they were with her own eyes.

Albina hid at the entrance of the nursing home and watched for a while. Seeing that her grandmother was well adjusted to the work she was doing, she turned to leave.
When she saw the friendly director approaching to greet her, Albina took a bank card out of her pocket, handed it to her and said:
-Director, on the card there is a sum of money, please buy something to eat and some necessary items for the elderly. And if my grandmother has any physical discomfort, everything goes out and she needs medical treatment, you can pay the expenses with the remaining money for her. If the balance is not enough, you can call me directly.
-Well, I see,” the director did not refuse.
There was no income in this nursing home, and there was no way to improve the lives of the elderly, even if the director wanted to. But now this sum of money from Albina could help the director to improve the living standards of the elderly a little.
Before leaving, Albina took one more look at the courtyard behind her and left without going inside to talk to her grandmother.
Although her grandmother was not involved in Ramon’s malicious plans and had not made any moves against her father, she mercilessly threw her seriously ill mother and herself, who was blind, out of the house shortly after her father’s death. As a result, they almost died of cold outside.
The hatred between them did not disappear just because the old woman was in a miserable situation. Besides, Albina thought she had been kind enough to her in this way.
After Albina got into the car parked in the driveway, Kevin turned his head to look at her and was relieved to see her looking calm.
He had always thought Albina and her father were different in character, but deep down, they were both equally kind. The only difference was that Albina had her own principle in kindness.
-Where are we going now? -Kevin asked after starting the car.
She answered:
-To Augustine’s casino.
Agustin had helped her deal with Ramon and Alex, and after getting the two houses, he did not go back on his word, and even used his own contacts to quickly transfer her father’s house into her name, so Albina wanted to go and thank him in person.
Kevin nodded and continued speaking:
-I was worried at first that the cooperation between you and Augustine might have some risk, it was very risky, but I didn’t expect everything to turn out so well.
The end was really surprising for Kevin.
Suddenly, Kevin seemed to remember something and looked at Albina with a serious face and asked:
-I haven’t seen Umberto in the last few days, didn’t you tell him how to deal with the father and son of the Espina family?
Her expression stiffened for a moment at his words, and she answered somewhat nervously:
-I told him before, but didn’t tell him in detail the plan? Never mind, this is a family matter that I can handle on my own. There is no need to reveal so many details to him….
Actually, she was somewhat uneasy, as she had promised Umberto that she would not endanger herself. But seeking cooperation with Agustin was already too risky, not to mention that she had used such tricks against Ramon and Alex. If those two had reacted, they could have possibly done something cruel and vicious to retaliate against her.
But now this matter had been resolved perfectly: what she wanted to get back she had achieved and she had successfully taken revenge on the Espinas. Everything was on the right track, so Umberto shouldn’t be angry with her, right?
Kevin looked at her somewhat nervous face and felt a little funny inside.
“Obviously, she’s worried that Umberto will be mad at her, but she’s still pretending to be calm. Well, I’ll try not to let Umberto know about this.”
That day, when he went to pick up Augustine with her, he was very worried that Augustine would hurt her. After all, Umberto treated her as the most valuable treasure in the world. If Umberto knew that it was he himself who had taken Albina to look for a mob boss, he would undoubtedly be very angry.
The car soon arrived at Agustin’s place.
To Albina’s surprise, Agustin was already waiting for her at the door.
Once Albina and Kevin got out of the car, they approached Agustin and sincerely thanked him.
He waved his hand and said with a slight smile:
-You’re welcome. I just did what I had to do.
Then he asked Albina with a very kind face:
-Did you already get the title deed?
She nodded:
-I just got it this morning and they are totally cleaning the house right now.
Two days earlier, she had returned to her house and found that, apart from the more expensive furniture her parents had bought, the furnishings in the house were completely different, nothing like what she remembered. There were traces of the Espina family’s life everywhere, which made her not want to stay there for a minute, so she asked that they do a total cleaning and throw away all the Espina family’s things.
Agustin nodded his head slightly, pointed to the car next to hers and asked:
-I’m just going to the mine, do you want to go with me?
Albina pursed her lips, but finally agreed:
-Yes, let’s go.
She knew which mine they were going to and wanted to see with her own eyes how miserable and wretched Ramon and Alex were.
Agustin smiled at her words. He didn’t look young, and when he smiled there were slight wrinkles at the corners of his eyes, but he didn’t look particularly old, just very stately and gentle.
Kevin was a little surprised to see his gentle smile towards Albina. This Augustine really seemed to have a somewhat different attitude toward Albina. At first he had suspected that this one had lusted after Albina’s beauty, but after seeing her clearly today, he realized that this was not the case.
Augustine’s gaze towards Albina was benevolent, as if he was looking at his own youngest, without any hint of lewd frivolity.
At that moment, Kevin suddenly remembered something:
“Augustine seemed to have a daughter. If she were alive, she should be the same age as Albina, but it’s a pity that….. They say that year no one noticed that Agustin’s wife and children had been killed at home, and the corpses were left decomposing when Agustin returned home from the business trip…”
Afterwards, Albina and Kevin went to the mine with Agustin. The was quite far from town, so it took them a long time to get to the destination.
When they got out of the car, they saw the huge machines and heard deafening roars produced by the said machines
The mine was particularly large and Agustin took them to where most of the workers were.
There were few machines there, and most of the laborers were carrying heavy loads of sand and stone in wooden wheelbarrows.
As they walked, Agustin introduced them:
-Many people work here because they cannot pay off debts they owe me, while many others make a living by selling their labor because they have no other ability. The work in the mine here is more tiring and dangerous than elsewhere, but the wages are correspondingly higher. However, Ramon and Alex, who also work here, can’t get a penny of pay other than three meals a day.
Albina listened quietly to Agustin’s words without showing any shock. In her opinion, they deserved it Ramon and Alex!
The old woman was old and shaggy, and although she was no good to her father, she had raised him, so Albina gave him some leniency.
But between the father and son and Albina there was nothing but the deepest hatred.
-There they are! -Kevin saw the father and son of the Espina family and was quick to tug on Albina’s sleeve, pointing his finger in a direction.
Albina followed Kevin’s direction and saw Ramon and Alex not far away.
It wasn’t too hot, but already many people were in bare tops, and so were the father and son of the Espina family. Because they had only been here less than a week, they had lighter skin than the other workers, which made them stand out in the crowd.
Right now, they were digging hard in the dirt. And because of the overseer’s presence, they dared not be lazy.
The two, who had never done any heavy work in their lives, were working with red faces full of sufferings.
Albina and the others, dressed in clean and decent clothes, were too out of place in the mine, attracting the attention of many workers.
Alex, who was working hard with his head down, heard the voices of the people next to him and looked up to look in the direction where Albina was.
Seeing Albina, he instantly gawked, dropping his work tool straight down.
“The one in the middle of those people is Albina!”
