The door had closed, but there were still unpleasant sounds coming from inside.
Umberto was full of annoyance and when he looked at the time, it was already twenty past seven.
He had been dealing with Yolanda for so long, he hadn’t even paid attention to the time.
It had been twenty minutes since the appointment with Albina and, after a delay on the way, it would probably be almost eight o’clock.
Umberto thought about this and immediately rushed to the door.
By the time he left the club, the air was fresh and his whole being was a little more awake.
Fortunately, he always kept his distance from Yolanda, and realized in time that the fragrance was not suitable.
Other than that nauseous feeling in his heart, there was no longer any problem.
After driving for more than 20 minutes, Umberto finally arrived.
Just as he got out of the car, he saw a person huddled in the doorway.
It was Albina.
She was leaning against the door, sleeping with a flushed face. In the moonlight, she looked peaceful. But she looked tired, with a slight dark bruise under her eyes.
The moment Umberto saw her, she calmed down.
He approached Albina, squatted down and gently touched her cheek:
-Albina, don’t sleep. It’s cold outside, you’ll catch a cold easily.
She vaguely smelled a scent, and when the wind blew, there was nothing left. Umberto’s voice rang in her ears. She opened her eyes wearily, and when she saw Umberto, she said in a soft voice:
-You are back.
Umberto saw her sleepy appearance and wanted to carry her inside in his arms, but immediately withdrew his hand when he remembered that he might have caught the scent.
-Albina, you can open the door with your fingerprint.
Albina was almost awake. She was really too sleepy, because she had not had a good rest with work during this period.
-I think it’s rude to do it… -Albina asked Umberto, “Did you work overtime?
Umberto didn’t want to tell her about Yolanda’s affair, so he answered yes.
After they both entered the room, Umberto loosened his tie and nonchalantly tossed his jacket on the floor, along with his shirt. He took off his clothes as he headed for the bathroom.
-I’m going to take a shower.
Umberto entered the bathroom, and soon the sound of water was heard from inside.
Albina became a little shy. “How can he take off his clothes in front of me…”
She sighed and picked up her clothes, ready to put them in the laundry.
Just after picking up the white shirt, Albina casually swept it, and saw a faint kiss mark.
The color was very light, but it was too noticeable on the white shirt. Staring at the mark, her mind went blank.
She remembered that scent she had smelled in a daze just now, that it came from Umberto’s body.
“Umberto hadn’t gone to work overtime, but to find another woman.”
“How close he was to getting the scent all over his body.”
“He repels other people getting too close, even when his insomnia is so bad that he won’t accept a massage from anyone. It seems that women hold a very important place in his heart.”
Albina breathed in, and felt her newly warmed heart begin to cool again.
Umberto! That night, in the moonlight, he had said, “I can’t wait to be with you again.”
Now this mark awakened her. She knew that everything he said was a lie. Just as he had lied to her for three whole years. if Miguel hadn’t told her about Yolanda’s existence, she might never have found out.
Umberto, he was a damn liar. Albina took a deep breath and held back all the tears. Fortunately, he hadn’t promised her yet. Otherwise, it would have been a real joke.
She casually picked up the clothes from the floor.
At this moment, Umberto came out of the bathroom covered in moisture. Seeing that the clothes lying on the floor had disappeared and looking towards Albina standing in the doorway of the room, he asked in a soft voice:
-Albina, did you take the clothes?
-Yes, in the laundry room.
Umberto did not notice anything unusual. He went into the laundry room, took out all those clothes, threw them into the wastebasket and explained:
-The clothes are stained with dirt.
But it was this statement that further proved Albina’s suspicion that he had indeed gone to see another woman.
Umberto looked at her pale face and approached:
-Are you ill? You don’t look very well. Do you want to rest for a while?
You’re always like this! Albina felt upset in her heart. He was always very affectionate and very kind to her until she could not discern his sincerity.
He came up with the kiss print on the white shirt, so Albina woke up and answered in a cold voice:
-I’m fine. Let’s get started, I have things to do later.
“She’s been normal when she just walked in the house, what happened while I was in the shower?”
Umberto entered the bedroom and looked at Albina with his head down, not knowing what she was thinking. He too was in a bad mood and felt a sensation that displeased him.
He leaned over and, instead of lying down on the bed as he usually did, he simply took her whole body between his own, resting his chin on her shoulder. He would not have dared to do it before, but now he was so agitated by Albina’s attitude.
-Umberto, let go of me.
Because of the shower, he had a very fresh scent, but Albina felt that the unpleasant aroma still lingered in her nostrils, making her feel a little disgusted.
-No!” Umberto’s voice became aggravated, “Have I done something wrong? Tell me, okay? Don’t get angry all of a sudden and start ignoring me.
Albina raised her head and looked at his wet eyes and the look full of disbelief.
“How did you manage to have contact with another woman and have such intimate gestures with me again?”
Albina forced herself to calm down:
-I’m fine. I’m just tired. Let’s finish the massage and then I can go home early.
-Shall I take you home first?
-No need,” Albina interrupted him, “How could I break my word? Lie down.
Seeing her insistence, Umberto just climbed into bed.
Albina massaged him as usual until he fell asleep.
Today, Umberto seemed to be tired and fell asleep faster than usual only in ten minutes.
Albina looked at him and the light in the room was rather dim to fall asleep as quickly as possible, spilling sharply onto the bed.
Umberto’s expression stretched, without the usual detachment and indifference, and was extremely gentle.
Albina’s finger vaguely traced the outline of his face, hesitating to drop it. “Okay, since he has an important person in his heart, I won’t get involved with him. I’m going to keep what I promised him and leave.”
As Albina left the villa, Umberto suddenly opened his eyes. In fact, he had not fallen asleep at all.
