-Then I feel relieved. Yolanda loves you so much and has saved your life before. You must appreciate her well. The Carballal family and our Santangel family we are matched for marriage. You are the perfect couple. That Albina is not good for you at all.
Mrs. Santangel remembered Albina’s pretty and charming face. Her eyes turned cold:
-Although you cheated her and only wanted her blood to save Yolanda, you also saved her mother and took care of that blind woman for three years, so you’ve already been kind and fair. Don’t contact her in the future.
Hearing Mrs. Santangel say blind, sounding very unpleasant, Umberto’s heart inexplicably filled with hostility.
-Mom, it’s a hospital here. Be quiet.
Mrs. Santangel saw the impatience on his face and stopped talking.
Soon after, the doctor came out and gave them some instructions, saying that Yolanda was weak and had fainted because she had been stimulated, so they should not let the patient’s emotions fluctuate too much.
After dismissing the doctor, Umberto and Mrs. Santangel entered the room.
Yolanda was lying on the hospital bed with a small pale face devoid of blood. Her body was thin and her eyes looked at Umberto with pity.
-Umberto, I’m so afraid!
Her voice was frail as she pulled hard on Umberto’s hand.
Umberto’s body stiffened for a moment, staring at his own hand, unconsciously uncomfortable.
He tucked the comforter over him, avoiding her hand without letting her hesitate.
-Don’t be afraid. I am here.
Yolanda looked at his handsome face closely and blushed in an instant, wishing more and more to have this man.
-Umberto, I’ve been in a coma for three whole years. For me these years is just like a dream, but for you it’s three whole years. During this period of time, Miss Espina has been with you…. Although you are now divorced, seeing you go with her, I am very afraid. I’m afraid that you’ll fall in love with her, that you won’t love me anymore.
-Umberto, tell me, have you fallen in love with Albina?
Saying, she pulled Umberto’s sleeve with her eyes fixed on him.
Umberto froze for a moment. In love with Albina? The first reaction was that how could it be!
He had married her from the beginning just to get revenge and use her so he could give Yolanda a blood transfusion. There was no way he could like Albina.
He lowered his eyes, as if speaking to Yolanda, and as if speaking to himself:
-No, it’s impossible for me to like her.
-It’s all right,” a smile appeared on Yolanda’s face as she curled up next to him and looked up at Mrs. Santangel. I knew Umberto wouldn’t like Albina. he only chased her when he saw she couldn’t see and took pity on her. It wasn’t that he liked her.
He just took pity on her?
Umberto looked at the smiles on their faces and felt unusually hard. He excused himself from company business and left the room as if he were running away.

When he returned home, Umberto opened the door and saw that the house was cold and empty.
All the furniture was still intact, but there wasn’t a person on the couch waiting for him to come home.
Umberto walked all the way from the living room to his bedroom, looking at the neat and tidy clothes in the closet and the dresser full of jewelry.
Not a single one of the things he had given Albina over the past three years had he taken with him.
Albina fixed up the house by herself little by little. She actually did what she said she would do, that she didn’t take any of the things from the house after she got divorced.
Umberto gave a cold, wild-eyed laugh. He never thought Albina would go so completely for real.
She was blind and had been under his protection for three years. He didn’t think Albina could survive alone without him.
He would definitely come back and beg her. She would.
