Tory’s POV
I swallowed hard at the cold way Nate had spoken to me. What did I expect? Flowers and kisses?
I sighed as I made my way to Rachel.
” If you don’t give me a fucking explanation as to why you pulled that fucking prank on me, I’m going to kill you right now” I spat and the entire room went silent. Yeah, it’s like that when I’m mad.
” T-tory, it was a game. Okay?”
” You texted me that my sister was having an asthma attack! Who invented that game Rachel?”
” That’s what you wrote?!” She whispered to Zach and he cringed as Joanne sat on his thigh.
” YOU TYPED THIS?” I asked almost losing my mind to the extent of his foolishness.
” It was a game okay? I didn’t even know who’s phone it was.” He said, visibly shocked by my outburst.
” What kind of game is that?”
” It was Jake’s idea!” They all chorused and Jake almost choked on his beer.
” Okay, Tory let me explain. ” Jake said.
” It better not suck!”
” We were playing a game of truth or dare with a twist – you take an agreed property of someone who couldn’t answer a question or do what he was dared and at the end of the day, we all couldn’t leave the game without losing something to one another. Tony lost her phone to Zach and then I dared him to type something alarming to any number on the person’s speed dial… it was just fun at the time. Sorry.”
” Are you drunk?” I asked and he burped before he nodded and smiled sheepishly.
” You’re all idiots,” I said before I walked away, making a mental note to go home as I walked past the teens in the lobby again but my heart slammed against my chest when someone pulled me into a dark room. Why won’t Rex quit this?
” Rex! Stop it please!” I whispered in fright as I closed my eyes. The lights were turned on and I slowly removed my hands from my eyes and opened them to find Nate staring back at me.
” Oh my God!” I said as I held onto my chest and heaved a sigh of relief.
” I’m sorry,” he said softly and I looked at him, completely puzzled.
” What?”
” I can’t do it anymore.”
” Can’t do wha-”
The feel of Nate’s lips on mine made me forget what I was asking. I tethered my hands around his neck and kissed him back. Damn, I’ve missed this! Nate pinned me to the wall, kissing me and exploring my mouth with his tongue.
I let out a moan when I felt him grind against me. Unable to take it anymore, I unbuttoned my pants, took off my hoodie and he did the same with his clothes before he bolted the door. He lifted me and I wrapped my legs around his waist, I missed his scent, I longed for him to touch me like this.
I bit my lips in pleasure as his fingers found their way inside me and not long after he thrust into me, making me forget that people could hear my loud moaning.
Nate too wasn’t very discreet, immediately he thrust into me, he let out a loud moan that matched mine and kissed my lips softly. Continuing in his thrusting, he stared into my eyes, his eyes holding so much emotion – passion, desire, and dare I say, love.
I was in a state of ecstasy as he and I climaxed and I bit my lips so I wouldn’t yell his name but he didn’t restrain himself, he threw his head back and his platinum blond hair bounced back as he said my name out loud.
” Victorya…” He said, before he tried to kiss my lips that I had been biting to stop myself from moaning, he softly nibbled on my lips so he could kiss me, I stopped biting my lips and we kissed passionately before I lost control when he thrust one more time and I climaxed again. He pulled out of me and I stared at him wondering when he had used a condom. He just walked away and went to to the bathroom to dispose of the condom.
I quickly put on my panty, my hoodie, then my trousers and was about to make a run for it when he pulled me back to him.
” Don’t go Rya, I don’t want you to go.” He said, his voice deep and seductive, no Nate we can’t have another go. Not here at least – I said in my mind.
” I-I thought you were mad at me,” I said as he pulled me closer to him and rested my head on his chest, his hands wrapped around my waist.
” I was enraged at you but not anymore. I couldn’t keep it up.”
” I’m sorry Nate,” I said as I looked up at him, my eyes filled with tears and he kissed me softly.
” I’m sorry too.”
” No, I’m the one who hurt you and -”
” – it doesn’t matter anymore. Nothing does.” He said and I rest my head on his chest, smiling at how easy it was for him to forgive me.
” You smell really nice.” He said to me and I rolled my eyes and punched him in the stomach.
“Hey! I’m just being nice”
” Shut up, just because I’m using your cologne doesn’t mean you should tease me about it.” I pouted and he smiled.
” So what’s next?” I asked as I sat on the bed and he sat beside me.
” I’m leaving”
As he said those words to me, I stared at him and almost laughed at how funny that sounded – he must be joking. When he didn’t smile even a little, the small smile on my face disappeared.
” Why the hell are you leaving?” I asked angrily and he shook his head as he looked at the floor.
” Big D”
” What?”
” He told Rex to give me a month to make up my mind on whether I would join him or not -”
” – and you’re choosing him?!”
” He said he’ll kill you, Tory, I didn’t really have a choice.”
” Why didn’t you tell the police?”
” Because he said he’ll kill you if I did. He still has his men around, even on the day of the Date-A-Thon they were there under disguise. Plus, you were still madly in love with the guy who was given the task of ending you. The last thing I wanted to do was piss him off, Rex is a psycho!”
” So you’re leaving when?” I said unable to prevent my voice from getting shaky. Nate shifted uncomfortably on the bed, I knew he hated to see me cry.
” Tomorrow, after prom. My one month is over, at least I get to have a day with you.”
” Nate why!” I said unable to stop myself from crying.
” Why didn’t you tell me sooner, what are we supposed to do in one day?!”
” Well, you owe me a date” he said and I glared at him.
” Tory stop crying, okay? You didn’t wanna see me. It looked like whenever you saw me in school, your face immediately looked pale. I never expected that when I pulled you in here we’d have sex. I thought I repulsed you.”
” You don’t Nate, I have never felt this way about anyone. This is why I was scared to fall in love with you because I didn’t want to deal with the pain when I lose you. ”
” Rya…”
” Seems like I’m bound to lose you no matter what”
” Don’t say that.” He said cupping my face in his hands as we stared at each other. It just made me cry more.
” Please Rya, let’s not spend our last moment together on a sad note. Are you coming to prom tomorrow?”
” No! Besides you already have a date, why don’t you go with her?” I said jealously.
” Tory, the only reason I asked her is that you didn’t seem to want to go. Look, I’ll buy you a dress, come with me to prom tomorrow.”
” And the girl?”
” She’s a wannabe. She wouldn’t mind being Victor’s date either way.”
” I don’t know, I don’t like using fun to quench my hurting.”
” Trust me, my love, it’s the best way.” He said with a smirk and I smiled.
” I’ve missed you,” I said and he grinned so wide that I felt it was creepy, he knew I would find it creepy.
” Stop it, knucklehead,” I said as I got up and he quickly put on his clothes.
” Don’t go yet”
” Why?”
” Because Rya, we were making an awful lot of noise and the second we step out of this room everyone’s gonna know about us.”
“Right, we should stay till the party is over.”
” No, we should go.”
” I thought you don’t want anyone to know it was us”
” No, I didn’t want you to leave without me.”
“You’re kidding!” I said as he opened the door and pulled me out with him. He didn’t even feel a tinge of embarrassment as all eyes were on us. All I could think was – ” were we really that loud?”
” Get over it Tory, what is it your first time having sex at a party – with EVERYONE knowing?” He teased with a smirk on his face as we made our way out of Zach’s house and he followed me as I stood by our car. Mr. Joe just sat there waiting for me patiently, I loved him for that.
” You know I’m not a professional hook-up person like you so yeah it’s my first time!” I retorted and Nate laughed.
” I was gonna kiss you right there and then but… I didn’t want people thinking we were an actual couple”
” Why?” I asked a little stung.
” Because they would mock you when I leave. I don’t want that.”
” I see,” I said getting his point. I resisted the sadness welling in me and smiled at him, he smiled back at me.
” See you tomorrow?” He asked as he leaned closer to me, ” see you tomorrow” I said and then he kissed me and opened the door for me to get in.
I waved him goodbye as Mr. Joe drove me home.
Even if I won’t see Nate again. I didn’t want to ruin our last time together.
