Nate’s POV
I had made up my mind this morning that I wasn’t going to confront Rex about the boys who’d as much as I hate to say it – beaten me to a fucking pulp!
It was too embarrassing and my saving grace was that Tory and Rachel were the ones who found me.
I parked my car in front of the arcade where I had spotted his car and suddenly felt like using the restroom. Just then, I spotted Tory as I got down from my car, she was standing outside dressed in a pink crop top and denim trousers, she looked simple but yet still breathtaking. I wasn’t sure she would want to see me, maybe she and Rex were about leaving when he had to go inside to get something – I don’t know.
I used a really fat, tall man as my shield as I walked past her and entered the building, my need to urinate even stronger than before.
I hastened my steps and barged into the men’s room.
” What the hell?” I asked in shock as I saw Rex kissing Isabella and about to take off his pants!
Tory’s waiting outside and he’s here? Trying to fuck Isabella?
And they say I’m the Playboy!
Rex froze at the sound of my voice as he let go of Isabella who came down from her scandalous position on the sink. He turned around and put his trousers back on.
” Don’t you know how to fucking knock?” He growled and though I was pissed that he would cheat on a girl like Tory, I couldn’t stop myself from laughing as I saw his erection through his trousers and Isabella scowled at me as I doubled over.
” Not sorry to interrupt the fuck fest,” I said when I was done laughing. I folded my arms and watched both of them in amusement.
” Get out of here,” Rex said.
” Oh sure, I’ll just stop by at where Tory’s standing and tell her you need her in the restroom”
” Go ahead” Rex taunted with a cold laugh.
” What?”
” I said, go tell her that I’m cheating on her with Isabella as for me, I’m not finished here” he said as Isabella seductively rubbed his back and kissed him.
Now I’m confused, I thought what I just witnessed was Isabella seducing Rex and I expected him to suddenly come to his senses and beg me not to tell Tory anything.
Instead, he seems to want to have sex with Isabella, I thought he loves Tory?
” You want to fuck Isabella when Tory’s waiting outside for you?” I asked, now losing some fiber of control in me.
” See how bad you make me look. It’s not like you weren’t banging the girl I love I was in the sitting room in your house” Rex said with mock remorse before he let out a grin.
” You’re in love with Isabella? Even after what -”
” – yes he is! He loves me because he knew I wasn’t in my right senses when I let you use me to hurt Tory’s feelings”
I swallowed slightly, how did they know about my intentions behind making them date each other?
” Now, I’m not gonna be your toy anymore so fuck you and get out!” She hissed.
” You heard her Nate, I need to be with my baby,” he said smiling at Isabella before they shared a kiss and resumed their foreplay.
” Why the fuck are you dating Tory then?” I asked in fury, unable to control my anger and Rex let out a groan before he broke the kiss with Isabella and smirked.
” Payback is a bitch” Isabella said with a mischievous grin.
” What?”
” I’m dating her to hurt your feelings, Just like you dated Isabella to hurt mine”
I watched for Isabella’s reaction but she seemed cool.
” So you’re just gonna be cool with him dating and sleeping with Tory, while also sleeping with you?”
” I’m the real deal, she’s the toy”
” No, you’re the side chick, while she’s the chick!”
” Enough! Don’t come any closer to Isabella or I swear I’ll kill you.”
” Oh yeah?”
“I’m not gonna hold back in making you regret ever trying to steal her from me!” He roared and I was floored, he’s really in love with her! I thought it was just an attraction.
” Aww, don’t worry Rex, I don’t give a shit about Isabella. The only reason I dated her because she was obsessed with me” I said chuckling and Isabella glared at me.
” Sure….” Rex said sarcastically.
” … I’m also dating Tory because SHE’S obsessed with me.”
I clenched my teeth and squeezed my fists in anger, trying not to punch the asshole.
” You thought you’re smart, using Isabella and I as puppets just so you could hurt Tory for some irrelevant things she said about you! then you made Isabella fall in love with you with that fake ass charm of yours and then when I caught you seducing her, you convinced her to start dating you, knowing full well that I love Isabella!
Now that she’s seen what a selfish asshole you are and is ready to start over WITH ME! I’m gonna use Tory to my satisfaction” He said breathing heavily afterward.
“So, go ahead and tell her if you like. She’ll only hate you more for proving her right that all you do is cause people pain.” Rex said with a smirk as I glared at him.
” Where was I? ” Isabella said before they resumed their kissing and I stormed out of the men’s room.
” Fuck!” I muttered as I headed out of the building.
” That bastard found me out.”
” What?” Tory said drawing my attention to her.
Damn it, I forgot to hide from her, I let out a breath and smiled sheepishly when I faced her.
The girl was looking even more beautiful than ever, her blonde hair in waves and her grey eyes glowing along with her skin and when she smiled at me, her dimples left me dazed as I stared at them and then her lips.
I stopped myself from being mesmerized by her beauty as I looked away from her for a while.
” Who found you out?” She asked again with a smile. I didn’t get why she was so nice to me or why she’d been stealing glances at me in class. Sure, Rachel had always said that Tory was a sucker for kids neglected by their parents but I’m seventeen not five. Why is she looking at me like I’m some adorable toddler?
Where’s that look she used to have when we were this close to each other when it seemed like she wanted me to kiss her just as much as I wanted to, whenever we had a heated argument?
Who’s this girl?
” Ummm, some idiot in there,” I said trying to not arouse her suspicion, I took in a deep breath and resisted the urge to smell her entire body, precisely that hair of hers as her cologne was carried by the breeze into my nostrils.
She smelled of something strawberry and her hair seemed like she’d just showered before coming here, I knew the soap she used, Toni had told me and I immediately bought it, not for use on myself but just to smell it. Damn, I’m a weirdo for this girl.
” Why are you outside?” I asked and immediately regretted it because then she’d want to find Rex.
” I’m waiting for my boyfriend. He said he’s having a stomach ache and he’s been in there for ages. I’d go and check up on him but I still like my nose very much” she said wearily and I chuckled making her look at me with that look I had so dearly missed – like she wanted me.
” So, you were umm… Saying that you needed a partner for your therapy sessions right?” She asked changing the subject.
” Yeah, but I don’t have anyone to help me out with it. I’m trying to keep this disorder thing as discreet as possible”
” What about Zach”
” He’s an Idiot” I scoffed and she laughed and a smile formed on my face too as we stared at each other.
” Okay, I’ll help you”
” Really?”
” Don’t look so thrilled Nate, it comes with conditions.”
” Okay?”
” First, you and I cannot be seen talking like we are now in public, it’ll upset my boyfriend and I don’t want him to be upset”
Why did she have to say ” my boyfriend” couldn’t she just call him Rex?! Ugh! The worst part, the idiot is in there banging her nemesis and she’s here trying to please him!
I wished I could tell her but she’d be too hurt and I don’t want to be the one who brings her pain.
” Okay,” I said in defeat and she flashed me the cutest smile ever. I literally died just seeing how she held her hand and swayed like a little child because I had agreed to not upset Rex by being seen with her and I rolled my eyes.
” See, you’re making progress. The Nate I KNOW would NEVER agree to that”
” Add that to the list of things you make me do without reason,” I said and was confused when she looked at me with so much emotion in her eyes.
” Umm, what’s the other condition?” I asked trying to shake the awkward feeling I was having.
” Well, you have to apologize to everyone you’ve hurt. Including Rex”
” Forget it!” I said walking away and she laughed and yelled ” I know you’ll eventually agree” and I turned around to find her laughing at me as I walked to my car, she doubled over when I couldn’t help smiling at her and then I waved her off and entered my car.
Zooming off but making sure I rolled down the glasses before I mouthed ” deal” and she smirked.
Oh, the things Tory makes me do without thinking.
I drove straight for my house and was confused when I saw Mr. Roswell’s car open. Did they go back home or something? Maybe they left something behind and had to go back home.
As I approached his limo, I saw blood on the floor and traced the little drops inside the house.
” What the hell!” I muttered as I entered the house and found him lying on the floor in the once white couch now turned red in a pool of blood. I knew I should’ve felt more alarmed than this but I was just a little frightened nothing more.
Real fear hit me as I wondered where my mother was.
I made sure I didn’t touch anything but ran upstairs to their room, using my elbow to open the door rather than my hands.
My heart started beating aggressively faster than normal when I saw the bag she had carried this morning on the floor, her phone broken and the chain she’d worn covered in blood along with her red heels.
There was only one person I could think of calling as I panicked.
