Tory’s POV
As I stood there watching Rex still outside the room- and a shirtless Nate, glare at each other, I could feel the hurt and pain in Rex’s eyes as he saw Isabella. Unlike Nate, she was visibly embarrassed and had tried to break the silence and tension in the atmosphere but the words weren’t coming out of her mouth but when she nervously bites her lips – lips that Nate had just kissed, Rex lost his mind and started storming towards an unapologetic Nate.
” Woah wait!” I said as I stepped in between them.
” Tory, get out of my way. Right now” Rex snapped.
” Rex, you need to listen to me. I know you’re pissed and you probably want to strangle this asshole right now but first listen”
” What the hell do you think will stop me from beating the shit out of him!” Rex roared and Nate chuckled.
” Do you want the whole school to know about this?!” I said knowing full well that Rex has some ego of his own. If there’s anything the popular kids hate, it’s the school knowing the details of their break-up with their exes. They all like to leave people guessing, especially when the real story is a bit embarrassing.
As I looked at Rex, I could tell that he really wanted to beat the crap out of Nate but he also didn’t want anyone else finding out about this.
” It’s best if you don’t deal with this here at the party. Let it just be the six of us that witnessed this, Okay?”
He said nothing as he looked at me with a dangerous frown I’ve never seen on his face before.
” I’m gonna fuck you two up. Trust me” he said to Nate and Isabella before he stormed off.
Toni who I expected to be teary-eyed and probably raining abuses on Nate or Isabella, just stood there frowning as she shook her head, then she walked away.
” I um… I’m gonna go” Rachel said before she too left.
” Hell of a rescue Tory, I’m not grateful though” Nate said as he picked up his shirt from the place it was tossed and for some reason, he just held it in his hands and didn’t put it on.
” Enjoying the view?” He asked and I scoffed, managing to tear my eyes off of his bare body.
How can a guy this perfect be such a douchebag!
” You can keep up the charade but the show’s over” he said before he put on his shirt.
” You, on the other hand, have something worth the view” he said with a grin as his eyes landed on my exposed cleavages.
Damn this stupid transparent singlet!
I didn’t bother covering it, I just picked up Rachel’s jacket on the floor and put it on before I said “the show’s over”.
” Oh my gosh, Tori Just go already!” Isabella yelled at me.
” Oh, so you two can continue? I’m sorry. I’ll be on my way now” I said, feigning remorse and she just glares.
” You can have Rex now. I don’t need him anymore” she said with a smirk.
” Wow! You’re cold-blooded. You do realize that he’s in love with you right?”
” I do…” she said as she walked closer to me, folded her arms, and then this wicked grin started forming on her face before she added “… While you are in love with him, so sad”
” Now listen, Nate and I are together now…”
Nate just smirked as he watched Isabella threaten me.
” …. So don’t you ever meddle with stuff that concerns me or, you might just start hearing that the cause of my break-up with Rex is you and that could lead you to having A LOT of haters. ” She said as she glared at me.
” When are you ever gonna stop being jealous of me?” I asked with a dry laugh.
” You wish!” She scoffed.
” What’s there to be jealous of? Your bleeding social life and disgusting fashion sense?” She said, placing her hand on her waist as she scoffed.
” My social life bled for so long because you made it so -” I started to say but she just had to interrupt and said,” – and I will do even more ”
” Go ahead, this time, I’m not going to be quiet and do nothing about it. The girl who did that is long gone!” I spat while Nate watched in amusement.
” You’re really starting to let that stunt you pulled with Penny get into your head.” She said and Nate chuckled as I walked closer to her till we stood head to head.
” It seems all these years of keeping to myself has made you think you can mess around with me. Don’t make me go full bitch on you because even you know that you can’t handle it!”. I said in a hard tone and the smile on her face disappeared.

Getting to school the next day, I walked with my sisters to school.
” The only thing that pissed me off is the fact that now that Nate and I are obviously done, some idiots are gonna start making fun of me for it. We lasted only two weeks !” Toni whined and Tia rolled her eyes.
” So what you’re saying Toni, is that you don’t have feelings for Nate” I asked, completely baffled by her lack of hurt over Nate dumping her.
” Nope, I dated him because of the immunity that came with it. You have no idea how good it felt to have everyone scared of messing with me. I’ll miss his sex though. Dude’s got stamina” she said and I almost gagged.
” Gross, please you guys go to your class with your dirty talk!” I said in utter disgust.
” See ya,” Toni said as she laughed hysterically while I walked away from them and headed for my locker. Everyone was stealing glances at me as I walked.
” She’s definitely the cause” I heard someone say.
” There’s no way” another said.
” Can’t believe Rex and Isabella broke up”
” Nate and Isabella are kind of a better couple”
” They’re so not!” The other person said.
I just couldn’t help but wonder how the whole school now knows.
” You guys! thank God, could you please tell me what’s going on?” I said when I saw Rachel and Janelle.
” Nate and Isabella have confirmed their relationship” Janelle said as she scrolled through a picture on Instagram of them making out!
” What?!”
” Uh-hun, I was shocked too, I don’t know why she was dating Rex in the first place” Rachel said with a shrug.
” Speak of the fucking devil” Janelle said and the hall went silent.
Rex just walked in and had a very irritated look on his face, he probably knew that everyone has found out, and he’s probably regretting not being able to fight with Nate.
I walked quickly to get my textbook from my locker so I would avoid him but he reached his locker first and was immediately greeted by Jordan, Levi, Jake, Tim, and Victor. They mostly rolled with him more than Nate.
” Dude, you okay?” I heard Jake say but didn’t hear Rex’s reply. I shut my locker and I let out a slight scream when I saw him standing right behind me, with those lost puppy eyes that melted my heart.
” Tory, I’m so sorry. I should’ve never listened to Isabella’s lies about you, I shouldn’t have -” he said after a short while of him trying to look me in the eye.
” – It’s fine, you loved her that’s why?” I said, trying to make him feel better at the espense of my heart’s happiness.
” I did, that was the biggest mistake of my life” he said with a grimace.
” Are you okay?” I said as he held my hand and took me to where his guys were standing, I didn’t mind as far as Nate wasn’t there.
” I’m not really, but I Will be if you say you’re not mad at me anymore”
” I’m not,” I said and his frown turned into a sexy smile.
” Oh my gosh Nate, stop!” Isabella said excitedly as Nate carried her into the hallway and made out with her as he dropped her by her locker.
” Chill Rex, don’t let him get to you, that’s what he wants” Jake said, placing his hands on Rex’s chest.
He looked at them but his expression was blank, he didn’t look hurt, he didn’t also look like he didn’t care either. I looked at Nate and Isabella as they made out passionately.
Though I ought to have been disgusted, I ended up wondering how it would feel if Rex kissed me like that one day but that’s not possible right? Not when he still probably likes Isabella.
I sighed and when I turned around, Rex’s eyes were fixated on my lips. My heart immediately started pounding out of joy, anxiety, anticipation – all kinds of feelings came flooding through my mind. I looked away but suddenly felt someone’s lips brush on mine softly, it was Rex’s! His arms were wrapped around my waist as he found his way through my mouth, kissing me passionately.
I couldn’t think straight,” is he kissing me to hurt Isabella ?” – this was the question I should’ve asked myself if I were in my right senses but I ended up kissing Rex back because when he kissed me, control became non-existent. All I wanted was him!
