Malea’s POV
A shiver ran down my spine.
He looked into my eyes and I could tell every emotion and every word he had said was genuine. And then his lips were on mine, taking me to a place of euphoria. I almost cried at the feeling of finally doing what I’ve wanted to do for the longest time.
All I wanted was Lucian and all he wanted was me. Each time he would bring his lips onto mine it would feel like a whole new profession of his love. My heart swelled with each touch, with each breath we took as one and I didnt stop my hands from roaming his body. His soft lips kissed down my neck, making me only wanting him to stop teasing and put his lips on mine again. And then his lips were back on mine.
And his hands were suddenly underneath my top, leaving a burn of desire wherever his hands went. He nibbled my bottom lip causing a wave of longing flood over me. “I love you too.” I mumbled against his lips. I pulled away from him, my heart pounding and my mind racing.
“We need to talk to the lawyer. We need to clear this up.” Lucian said, his breaths heavy.
“Let’s do it now.” I said, looking into his love-filled gray eyes. He was absently biting his lip which only made me want his lips back on mine.
Lucian grinned and placed a kiss on my neck, slowly making his way to my ear. I shuddered underneath his touch. “Don’t you think it’s a bit early for that?”
I puzzled. “For what?” When he didn’t answer I put 2 and 2 together.
My face heated up immediately. I punched Lucian’s arm playfully. “That’s not what I meant.”
Lucian chuckled against my neck. “I know what you meant.” He placed one last kiss on my collarbone and then pulled away. I bit my lip as I glanced over his face. His hair was even messier than before and his lips flushed pink. I lifted my hands and adjusted his hair, then smoothed out his shirt.
Lucian’s lips lifted up at the corners. “Are you done fussing over me?”
I giggled. “Maybe.”
He took hold of my hand and pulled me towards the couch. “How about we see the lawyer tomorrow.” He said more as a statement than a question.
“That’s fine with me.” I smiled and his lips were back on mine.

Malea’s POV (The next day)
After Ales, Lucian and I were settled into the chairs, the lawyer, Mr. Orion, pulled out a peice of paper.
Ales sat rigid, a smile plastered onto her face. She looked as if she hadn’t slept all night long. I’d tried to call her many times but it always went to voicemail.
“Mr. King. I’ve drafted a new contract and I would like to know if you would like anything within the terms added or removed.” Mr. Orion said, an air of respect in his words as he spoke to Lucian. He slid three copies to each of us to look over.
Number One: Alesandra Maria Rodriquez will be divorced from Lucian Grey King and 10% of his income will be given to Miss Alesandra Maria Rodriquez.
Number Two: Malea Grace Hayes is no longer guaranteed a job at King Enterprises and now has a decision on whether she wants to quit or continue the job.
Number Three: Alesandra Maria Rodriquez will be given the current mansion in which she has lived in for the past 5 months along with 2 of the 6 cars Lucian Grey King owns.
Number Four: Alesandra Maria Rodriquez will have no contact with Lucian Grey King.
And the list went on and on. I signed without another thought to it along with Lucian and Ales.
“Any requests to be added?” The lawyer asked.
“I’m okay with it.” Lucian said.
“I have a request.” Ales said right on top of Lucian’s comment.
“What is your request, Miss Rodriquez?” The lawyer asked irritably.
“I want to be able to visit Lucian whenever and wherever I want.” She said suddenly.
Lucian gritted his teeth together. “I’d rather that not be added.”
Ales turned sharply to him. “You basically dumped me on live television. The least you could do to void me of that embarrassment is to agree.” She said harshly.
I just sat there in the middle of it all.
“It’s all up to you, Mr. King.” Mr. Orion said simply, his fingers clasped together.
“Add it.” He said firmly, obviously saying the opposite of what he wanted to actually say.
“Alright.” Mr. Orion arranged the papers and stood up, his hand outstretched for us to shake. “I’ll have copies sent out to all of you by tomorrow.”
Before the lawyer could even finish, Ales stood up and rushed out of the office.

Malea’s POV(A week later)
“I just wanted to say that I’m really happy for you, Malea.” Ales said over the phone, her words sounding truly genuine.
“Thank you. I’m so sorry if this whole situation seems—”
“No worries. I just want you to be happy because I know it wasn’t your fault.” She interrupted.
“Would you maybe like to hang out tomorrow? I don’t have work.” I began, trailing off.
“Actually, no. I have some errands to run with Winter. I’ll definitely call you when I’m available though.” And just like that, she hung up.
Confused, I got dressed in black distressed skinny jeans, mauve Timberlands, and a white Nike windbreaker. After tying my hair into a quick, messy ponytail, I scrolled through my contacts list and landed on Lucian’s name. I clicked call and threw by black Prada crossover bag on my shoulder and walked out the front door, making sure to lock it behind myself.
“Hey, love.” Lucian said as soon as he picked up. I blushed as I walked out of my apartment unit and into the parking lot. It would take a while to get used to being with Lucian.
“Hey. Where are you? I can’t see your car anywhere.” I said, glancing around the crowded parking spaces. A black Range Rover turned into the apartment complex.
“I’m in the black Range Rover .” He said. “I think I see you.”
I waved at him and hung up the phone. He pulled up towards the curb and got out, crossing over to my side. He was dressed in a pair of Nike sweatpants that cinched in at the ankles along with a pair of black Nikes, a plain white t-shirt on top. His usual arranged hair was left alone and looked effortlessly great.
I blushed as he pulled me into a hug, his arms wrapping around my waist. Lucian placed a kiss on my cheek before opening the passengers side for me to enter.
He got in on his side and turned out of the apartment complex once my seatbelt was on.
“You didn’t have to open the door for me.” I joked.
He turned to face me for a second, a small smile on his face. I hadn’t even noticed that whenever he smiled a cute dimple would pop up on his chin. “It’s an impulse.”
“So where are we checking out first?” I asked. Because Ales is now the sole owner of Lucian’s mansion, he asked if I would like to come house hunting with him even though he has another penthouse just outside of Manhattan.
“I haven’t seen much of it but the manager of it says it’s pretty nice.” He reached over and turned up the music. Heavy metal music began playing extremely loudly, the great speakers making the sound even louder.
I burst out into laughter as Lucian fumbled to lower the volume. Once he did he began laughing also.
“I didn’t know you were into heavy metal.” I said in between laughing.
“I’m not. I swear. It was just the first thing that came on.” He replied back.
“Sure.” I said jokingly. “Hey, do you have an AUX cord?”
Lucian nodded, not taking his eyes off the road. “It’s in the glove compartment to the right.”
I opened the glove compartment and took out the cord. I connected one end to my phone and the other into the AUX port near the GPS. I logged onto Spotify and played one of Melanie Martinez’s songs.
Lucian turned to me his eyebrow raised in question, a large smile on his face. “I didn’t know you were into Alternative pop.”
I laughed. “It’s good. If you listened to all her songs you’d understand.” I turned to him. “Do you not like it? I can’t change it if you want.”
Lucian reached over and turned up the volume. “Nah, it’s pretty dope.”
I grinned internally at his use of language. “Did you just say dope?”
Lucian grinned. “Yeah? Why?”
Then I began laughing.
“You’re always laughing at me, Malea.” He said laughing.
“I just never pegged you as the type of guy to say that.” I said as the song ended.
“What type of guy did you peg me for then?” He asked curiously as he stopped at a red light. Lucian turned to me his face flushed and a laugh ready to escape his lips.
“You always seem so rigid at work. It’s good to see you this way.” I smiled Marina and the Diamonds’ ‘Primadonna Girl’ began playing.

After we finished looking at over 4 houses that looked more like mansions, Lucian took me out to lunch at a cute resturaunt called Notre maison meaning Our House in French. It was about 5 o’clock pm when we walked in.
Lucian led me towards a reserved table close to the front of the restaurant. The waiter walked over to us and asked us what we would like to eat.
“Which ones did you like the most?” Lucian asked after we placed our orders. He tilted his phone over to me to take a look at a comparison at all the houses.
I nibbled at my lower lip in contemplation. The first one we saw was next to a small lake and the walls were mainly made out of windows. The second one was on a large secluded peice of land and it was a Victorian styled mansion. The third and the fourth seemed a bit like the first.
“I like the first a lot but honestly it all depends on you.” I pointed towards the first one.
“Same here, but it only has 6 bedrooms.”
I rolled my eyes. “Only. You’ll be the only one living in there.”
Lucian grinned. “No it’s essential for it to be big. I don’t plan on living there alone forever.”
“Then why—”
“Lucian? Is that you?” A high pitched woman squealed.
