If his morning was a bad one Emiliano was likely to have the worse afternoon considering the fact that he had a company to manage and a few employees who needed guidance, however his smile doubled as he fixed his eyes on the file Trey just brought in and reading every word made his day such that all he wanted was to reward Trey for doing an impressive job in a matter of a day. Emiliano was more than satisfied with the information Trey dug about Carlos and his business he called decent with the kind of information he had he could send Carlos straight to hell because no jail would be able to hold a shameless bastard like Carlos.
“Sir, getting his dirty deeds done was easy… apparently the man had some recent scandal with the media… Carlos escaped Mexico because of a case he was charged with”Trey explained as he looked at his boss with a satisfied expression, this is what Emiliano loved about Trey he was trustworthy and above all competent man who did his job accordingly and thoroughly nothing less nothing more, Trey was simply remarkable.
“He’s a fucking trafficker, a shameless pig so for now, I want you to keep an eye on him… He’s working with Crawford that’s for sure and there’s another one… this one is he’s hidden well but… I know about him”Emiliano slammed the file shut and shoved it aside and looked up at Trey who was standing from a distance.
“S… sir… well, the third person… I’m afraid”Trey started, but he couldn’t even finish his sentence because he knew who the third person was and according to what he had heard the Alvaro’s were vulnerable to him.
“Just do what she’s planning, hire more men to help her out and don’t let her know we are aware of her craziness”Emiliano remarked seriously and Trey nodded in agreement, he was Emiliano nothing passed him without him knowing about it.
“Yes sir… should I inform Mr. Vince about Carlos”trey asked and for a moment Emiliano’s expression darkened but soon composed himself because he knew just what transpired between Carlos and Vince in the past hence getting rid of Carlos was his top priority not just for his parents but for sia and Diego as well, before he left home he made sure to hire more security to ensure his family’s safety because each second he spent without them endangered their lives.
“No need… you can leave now”Emiliano said and Trey nodded with a bow and made his way to the door and out he was, Emiliano buried his face in his hands and let out a heavy sigh not aware of two people standing by the door and only when he heard that familiar baby giggles followed by inaudible words, and immediately he looked up and just like that his mood was lightened up.
“Hello Mr. Alvaro… working hard”sia said with a sky smirk and walked inside still holding Diego in her arms, Emiliano didn’t utter a word but simply hot to his feet and made his way to his wife and kid, it sounded right in his head because he had a sweet wife and of course his very own son.
“You don’t seize to impress me”he murmured and caged both mother and child in his strong embrace and Sia let out a chuckle and rested her head on his chest while Diego careless reached for his father’s shirt and Emiliano felt the little one fist his shirt.
“What can I say, I’m full of surprises”sia said with a smile and moved away from Emiliano who took Diego in his arms and placed a kiss on both his cheeks.
“He’s a big boy, a cute one”he said as he held Diego close to his chest and again baby noises filled the room.
“Yeah and what made her highness to grace me with her presence”he walked to the couches and sat down while Sia went to it behind Emiliano’s desk and fixed her eyes on his laptop.
“I don’t know probably some issues about someone playing matchmaker”she went straight to the point and Emiliano knew what was coming and for sia to find out about the issue out meant Logan made a move which was either good news or bad news.
“And what’s the news sweetheart?”
“She agreed, but Emil… how sure are you… Rhea and Logan won’t be a bad match?”marriage was no joke hence was to be handled with a clear mind and in Rhea’s case she was in a tough predicament and the sense of judgment was not there, and hence she was doing what she thought was right.
“Then that’s good news… come here”he snuggled close to Diego and gestured Sia to join them and like a devoted wife and a lovable mother Sia obediently rose to her feet and made her way to her husband and son. She had to say Emiliano’s office was beautiful, very vibrant and the furniture was what she called high class, provided that the Alvaro’s loved nice things. Yes Emiliano was the CEO and arrogant one who thought he was the best, and she strongly agreed with that.
“You look lovely, is this… for me”he muttered as he shifted aside and let Sia sit beside him and went ahead and put her head on his left chest while Diego took the right one and like always Diego seemed to fall asleep each time he was in his father’s arms, and now she could see how her son was dozing because his little eyes kept on closing and opening when he heard a noise.
“Thanks hubby… we missed you”she murmured and closed her eyes and felt Emiliano slip his hand in her crop shirt and rubbed his hand in circles as if adding to her drowsiness, she was already feeling him and knew just one touch affected her.
“I want you to stay out of this… you did great in the past but now… let me handle this matter my way”he whispered softly not wanting to disturb Diego who had fallen fast asleep and sia lifted her head and lazily looked at her husband and sighed, of course she played a heroine in the past and challenged Carlos but back then she had no choice or time to act weak, the man was disgusting and saw women as weaklings, and hence she stabbed him a few times the night she and Mario set out to save Rhea from his clutches.
“What kind of handling are we talking about?”she asked and Emiliano chuckled, it appeared that he married a cunning woman, sia was young but vicious at heart and above all strong and could handle any danger that came in her way that was why he wasn’t worried however they had a son to look after that was why he wanted her to focus on raising Diego rather than causing trouble.
“Will sending someone to hell work?”
“Only if that doesn’t get you to jail”she chuckled so did Emiliano and silence fell in the room as sia felt Emiliano’s breathing, his chest was rising and falling steadily feeling his heartbeat Sia snuggled close to him because he was the reason why she had to act tough. She wanted to be his strength, not weakness and if both were strong then no one would dare separate them no matter what.
“Just be safe, don’t go around causing trouble.”
“You knew he was the one then why aren’t you punishing him?”she asked because sia knew exactly that Emiliano wasn’t just an ordinary man, yes there were other things he didn’t know of, but she doubted he did not find out who the main culprit was.
“I’m scared of breaking the promise I made to my uncle… believe me I want to send him behind bars but I… just can’t”there was sincerity in his voice and sia didn’t say a thing for a while because she felt wronged come to think if it, the person in question tried to harm her husband not just that but the same man wanted to kill her and if emiliano knew about it then why let such a dangerous man roam around.
“At least punish him for trying to kill me… my life is priceless you know.”
“I’m sorry for that and I promise to deal with this issue once and for all… I’ll do anything just to make you happy”Emiliano said his promise but Sia didn’t know if to believe him knowing full well the person they were talking about was Angel. Yes emiliano suspected angel the first time sia saw him and she actually got scared which made him do a little investigation which left him shattered, in the past he promised his uncle to always protect Angel but Angel was way too spoiled to see what was right and wrong.
“Take him to jail”sia said seriously and Emiliano’s grip on her loosened and she knew Emiliano was still stuck to the promise he made to his late uncle and aunt. Even if Emiliano didn’t want she was going to seek help from Carmen and granny because they would tell her what to do to Angel.
