Like Sia expected, the party hall was mesmerizing, something only rich people would love and showcase. The air was fresh and lovely, from the decorations to the arrangement of tables. The lighting was breathtaking, and she knew millions were involved, seeing everything sia now recalled what her mom always said whenever she was planning a party ‘sia sweetie if you want your guests to be swept by the storm, spend millions and don’t stop until you steal the show’ sia didn’t understand Cristal’s weird sayings, but she knew rich people loved nice things of course she was also in the same category, and hence she would enjoy herself.
“You are okay, you seem nervous”Emiliano whispered to her as they walked hand in hand further in, and yes sia was holding his arm so tightly, the place was filled with many people in classy clothes not just that, but cameras were flashing at her and Emiliano and everyone kept staring at her mostly. She hated attention the most and people’s stares made her uncomfortable or did she look improper or her makeup was bad.
“Relax, they cannot keep their eyes off you… you look gorgeous the most beautiful in here”he whispered again but this time sia sensed a hint of pride to his tone.
“How nice”she said sarcastically and Emiliano chuckled as they walked to their table which was reserved for them and of course sia was glad to see Erica in a beautiful gown standing beside a tall man and when the man turned around sia recognized him as Armando.
“At least you decided to show up”Armando said to Emiliano and Emiliano chuckled and pulled Sia to his side and smiled warm.
“Meet my wife, Sia”he made the introductions and Armando smirked as he extended his hand towards sia for a handshake and sia took it nervously not wanting g to look in his dark eyes.
“Already met… you look lovely Mrs Alvaro”the man said in the same voice and now sia was pretty sure it was just how he spoke but how on earth did he have such an alluring voice.
“It’s good to see you again Mr. Romero”sia smiled as they shook hands and Armando chuckled and secretly winked at Emiliano, of course Erica who was busy talking to some ladies walked to them and smiled once she saw Sia.
“Wow you look lovely, someone stole my spotlight”Erica said with a chuckle, and he hugged sia and whispered over her shoulder about something before moving back which left sia speechless.
“You look beautiful as well”sia complimented her and Erica blushed lightly before letting out a small giggle. Sia had to say Erica was easy going always smiling and joking around, and hence she envied her.
“Since you two are already in the same boat, enjoy yourselves while Emiliano and I catch up a little”Armando remarked seriously, and the two ladies nodded and watched as the two men walked to a group of men in suits obviously having business conversations, sia watched as a lady in a short tight red dress exposing almost every part of her, with long black hair walked to Emiliano and half hugged him before planting a kiss on his cheek with. Sia saw as Emiliano smiled, and the two walked to the bar counter which was on the other side she could only see Emiliano leaning against the counter and took a glass and gave one to the lady.
“Sia, Sia”sia heard Erica call onto her and sia jerked back to her senses as she averted her eyes from Emiliano, she felt a knot tighten in her chest as a strange feeling washed over her.
“Yes”sia turned to Erica and smiled.
“She’s heather Samuel, apparently the governor’s wife, I don’t know what shebeing doing here, but I guess she’s here to flaunt her beauty.
“Oh”sia said and looked one more time and saw the lady whispering something in Emiliano’s ear, she was way too close to her husband and the way she was trying to touch him anyhow made her feel certain anger.
“I ran into her yesterday and I don’t like her, she’s so full of herself and didn’t stop trying to flirt with Armando”Erica said in irritation and sia said the Heather lady was flirting with Emiliano.
“Ladies have this, Mrs Alvaro this is for you”water came holding two glasses and Erica took one while the waiter handed sia hers and left immediately. Sia scanned the glass with clear liquid in it but didn’t dare taste, unless Emiliano was close. It was a rule they both came up with not to have anything in public unless both approved.
“It’s really nice, I promise you won’t get tipsy… I tried this last night, and it didn’t affect me”Erica said to sia when she noticed her newly found friend wasn’t having anything to drink.
“Yes”sia said and looked towards Emiliano but the man was so lost talking to the Heather lady which made her feel anger however just then her phone vibrated indicating a message and Sia immediately opened to read(‘its safe, you can have it my move’)a text from Emiliano and sia calmed her nerves and tasted the clear liquid and found the taste a bit familiar, it tasted like apple juice, but this one had a bitter strong taste to it, and again it had other fruits she couldn’t recognize.
“You know sia, there’s going to be a couple dance later on, and I suck at dancing”Erica said with a chuckle as they walked around nodding at it guests who kept staring at them with smiles, some men were offering them to dance but sia and Erica knowing full well who their husbands were hence didn’t dare act up.
“That’s my favorite part, I love to burst some moves”sia said with giggles and Erica laughed even more.
“I see you are a crazy type… I can’t wait to see those moves I’m sure Emiliano will go insane”Erica joked but at her last words Sia’s face turned serious, everyone thought she and Emiliano were on good terms, but only she knew she was about to divorce him.
“I know you are married but… I’m more beautiful than your wife”both sia and Erica heard heather’s voice as they came to a sudden halt and when they went close they found her trying to throw herself on Emiliano and when sia and Emiliano’s eyes met, he pushed her away only for Sia to drop the glass and ran away from there. Erica frowned as she heard Emiliano curse and ran after sia.
“You don’t stop do you?” Erica walked to Heather and grabbed her by her hair and Heather gasped.
“How dare you let me go”Heather struggled to say trying to get out of Erica’s death grip.
“I’ll deal with you later”saying that Erica threw heather on the floor and rushed away to where sia had gone to and prayed sia didn’t misunderstand Emiliano.
