The taxi driver who was driving had a frown on his face as he waited for his passenger to exit his car, so he could go home and rest, but the lady was still lost as if she was a dead corpse. Throughout the entire drive he had tried several times to ask her home address, but the lady wasn’t saying anything, time past, and he was driving in circles maybe the lady wanted to be alone, and hence he helped her, but it was getting dark, and he needed to get home to his wife and kids that was why he asked again and this time she said something, and now they had arrived at the most glorious mansions he has ever seen and knew the lady was no ordinary woman. The place itself was like a large estate owned by wealthy people.
“Madam we are here”he said again and this time Sia raised her head and looked around her and slowly opened the door and stepped out, the driver was surprise she didn’t even pay for the lift fence he just shook his head and drove away from the mansion.
back inside Emiliano was restless as he packed around by the entrance waiting for sia. It was past the time she usually got back from her office, and he got worried. He tried calling her, but her phone was off, he even went as far as calling his mom, but she wasn’t there, and hence he guessed she was still working.
“Sia where are you?”he muttered as he glanced at his watch, and it was almost 10pm, Emiliano didn’t wait any more, and hence he decided to go out and look for her, and therefore he rushed to the door, but before he could go any further, the door flew open and Sia was standing there. Emiliano smiled with delight as he rushed to her and pulled her in a hug.
“I was so worried, where were you”he mumbled as tightened his grip on her as he rubbed his face against her shoulder and sia could feel how his heart was beating fast however it wasn’t for her but another woman.
“D… don’t touch me”she muttered and pushed him away lightly and Emiliano got concerned as he reached for her face and made her look at him. The place wasn’t dark but bright enough for him to see her swollen face and wondered what happened to her.
“Why do you have swollen eyes, tell me”he murmured softly as he caressed her cheeks and around her eyes, sia knew, and her brain registered his fake concern. Everything was a lie nothing was the truth, he played and toyed with her emotions for his revenge.
“Let me go!”she raised her voice and slapped his hands away from her face such that Emiliano was shocked at her sudden behavior and knew something was wrong.
“Tell me what’s going on, I will fix it”he remarked with desperation and tried to touch her again but this time she pushed him away with so much anger that Emiliano stumbled back a little.
“Fix it? How dare you say anything about fixing it… how long were you planning to play me huh… how fucking long!?”she yelled angrily on top of her voice accompanied by sobs as tears fell again without stopping, Emiliano was lost not sure what was happening, sia was furious, and she never got angry to such an extent, and he knew that.
“I… I don’t understand… tell…”he started but sia cut him off with her hand for him to stop.
“Everything was a lie, you did nothing but lie to me… I was a fool to think… to think I was the one but… but it was all a part of your revenge”she couldn’t hide her emotions as she spoke even her voice was cracking as she struggled to say, her breathing was unstable and Emiliano felt his heartbeat quicken as an uncomfortable feeling more like fear washed over him.
“Please calm down and… and tell me what’s bothering you”he could feel the hurt in her voice and hated seeing her in such a state, she looked broken and her eyes and hair proved that.
“You… shouldn’t have done this to me… I gave up everything… I surrendered myself completely and trusted you with my heart and love,, but you went on and made a mockery of my feelings and emotions… why? Tell me!”the pain was feeling couldn’t be compared to anything, she felt as if her heart was ripped out of her chest, it was a gut-wrenching feeling that was circulating in her body causing her bones to turn to dust, she felt useless and weak.
“Don’t ever say that… don’t ever doubt what you mean to me… you are my life Sia… my everything”he murmured as he reached for her arm trying to get her close and make her understand but the distance he felt was what he feared.
“Shut up, don’t ever touch me with your filthy hands again”saying that she grabbed his hand and threw it aside and looked up in his eyes, tears had fallen and dried up, Emiliano looked at her searching for anything but the hate in her eyes was visible.
“If you wanted her then why did you ruin me like this… even if you wanted revenge please you should have kept away from me”her voice was now low, she could shut or yell or scream she lost it and by now realization hit Emiliano as he got desperate, what he feared had happened, his nightmare and his past he wanted so badly to erase had come back to destroy everything.
“No no… that’s not true… listen to me… that was my past not anymore… you are my present my future and my forever Sia”he held her by her arm and tightened his grip on her no matter how much she tried to keep him away.
“So it’s true, she’s the other woman… I hate you and hate her so much… I hate your faces and I wish you could just disappear both of you”this time she was angry and Emiliano saw it all and knew she already made her conclusion without hearing him out.
“I love you and only you sia… I can’t bare to see you like this… please let me explain.”
“Is that what you said to her? Spare me the lies Emiliano Alvaro… you toyed with how I felt about you… you lied and used me when I… I was a fool to think you could love me”his lies and deceit was like a slap in the face and the betrayal was too much for her to handle, her very own sister lied to her, and now she knew why Tara kept telling her not to marry Emiliano because she still wanted him and Emiliano wanted her, and she was the only fool who kept on building castles in the air, daydreaming about a man who wasn’t hers.
“If… sobs… if you didn’t love me… then you shouldn’t have given me hopes… you shouldn’t have used my body for your satisfaction and for that, I hate you Emiliano… I hate you”she said that and pushed him so hard that Emiliano was left lifeless as he tried to keep himself in check not to shed tears, what was happening all a sudden.
“Sia, please listen to me”he said and ran after her upstairs but sia wasn’t stopping and as soon as she reached their bedroom, she got in and slammed the door so hard and locked it from the inside and didn’t open when Emiliano was banging at it.
“Open up… let… let me clear things up please Sia”he used his fist to beg her to open but sia had sunk to the floor and was leaning back to the door as she hugged her knees close to her chest as she cried herself out, she was feeling numb, the pain was there but couldn’t feel it, the rage the despair and the loneliness had become apart of her and she couldn’t take it anymore and she quickly rose to her feet and wiped her tears as she looked around and found the room was decorated in flowers. She would have jumped in happiness seeing what he did but she felt rage.
“This is all a lie!”she screamed and started throwing around all the flowers and the candles in small glass bowls and completely destroyed the flowers on the bed but still she didn’t feel better as her knees gave up and fell down and cried her heart out. Emiliano was still shouting for her to open but she wasn’t doing that.
“Please don’t do this… I love you Sia”he kept muttering as if he had lost it, he couldn’t think straight, his mind was in a mess and having Sia hating him scared him and shattered him in a million pieces as he stayed knocking at her door for the rest of the night.
