Immediately the car stopped at the hospital which was not far from where she was, Sia stormed out leaving Nickolas who was now like her personal driver as ordered by Emiliano.
“Excuse me, which room is Logan Martinez?”Sia asked a nurse at the reception as soon as she got inside the hospital and the nurse looked up with a blank expression, adjusted her specs and opened a large book. Judging by her puffy eyes and dark circles around her eyes Sia guessed she was exhausted but oh well it was her job hence everyone had their own life to lead.
“Took 102, it’s on the second floor”the nurse looked up and said to sia, sia muttered a thank you and dropped cash on the table for the lady and rushed to the elevator. If sia saw the bright smile the nurse had seeing the huge amount of money in her hands than she would have guessed the lady looked exhausted due to problems she was going through and if Sia knew she just helped out the woman who urgently was in need of money for her two little children then she would have been glad to have helped out the woman but all in all the nurse mouthed a thank you and continued her work.
Sia reached the same room and pushed it open only to find Logan talking to a policeman in uniform and hating to interrupt Sia wanted to go back out but logan saw her a.
“C… come in sia”logan whispered with great difficulty as he and the policeman looked towards the door and Logan couldn’t help but admire sia’s beautiful, she was looking beautiful in the little dress which complimented her skin and everything about her was eye-catching.
“H… hello officer”Sia said to the well built policeman and he nodded and stepped away so Sia could stand by Logan’s bed side. Logan smiled warmly seeing the woman he loved standing there and for the first time he felt loved and cared for, all his pink just dispensed without trace upon seeing her smile which healed all pain at just a glance at her beautiful face.
“What happened to you?”sia asked as she looked at Logan’s leg all bandaged up and hanging in the air, and iv bag was connected to his arm and by the look of his clothes he looked at if he had been ran over by a bus multiple times.
“Are you his wife, well Mr Martinez was attacked by goons after crashing into his car with a truck”the policeman answered professionally and sia upin hearing attacked by goons got worried.
“B… but why?”if Logan was about to get killed then it was serious.
“It… its nothing… please officer I’ll handle this”logan cut the policeman from saying anything further and tried to sit up but groaned in pain such that sia rushed to him and helped him sit, Logan amiled secretly because Sia was touching him just like he wished for.
“If you say so, but please be careful I’m afraid the criminals have not been caught yet they might come back again”the man said bowed to Sia and walked out of the room which smell like medicine and dry blood, sia didn’t like the smell of hospitals no matter how clean they were.
“Did someone try to kill you?”she sat beside him and logan closed his eyes for a while and opened them and nodded and sia widened her eyes in surprise.
“Who? and why?”
“It’s nothing sia, what’s done is done”he brushed her off and looked at his hand and sia saw how sad he was, he must be in pain and looked terrible.
“No its not Logan, you consider me as your friend and if your life is in danger then I need to know who is doing this… we need to get them arrested so… tell me”she said softly and extended her hand to his arm and rested it there, Logan melted at her touch as he looked for more not just her hand but every part of her body he yearned for more.
“Well according to what the police found… well I don’t know what to say but they said someone powerful sent those men, they found that”logan said hesitantly and pointed at the side table and sia followed his gaze and saw a clear bag there and inside there was something in it. With care sia reached for it and immediately she set her eyes on it she went pale because she recognized the little gold watch and knew who it belonged to.
“It… it can’t be”she muttered as she scanned it to make sure it wasn’t it but unfortunately it was a watch which she always saw with Emiliano, several times she had asked him why he loved the little thing and every time he said it was special to him and never went anywhere without it but for two days now she had never seen him with it and when she asked him he told her he lost it somewhere but here it was.
“Well one of the goons had that watch and judging by how expensive it looked the police came to a conclusion and for further information they will look more into finding the one who made it maybe it could lead them to the owner”Logan remarked and by now sia’s skin was even placed as sweat trickled on her forehead.
“Sia… you know who that belongs to so do I”finally he voiced out his thoughts only then did Sia look up and shook her head in denial.
“H… he wouldn’t do it… I’m certain of it… Emil isn’t capable of killing anyone”she said defensively because she knew emiliano very well by now and although he was selfish centered and loved himself more than anything, and yes at times he would act vile and make baseless threats but he would never hurt anyone she had seen that multiple times.
“Sia… I know you trust your husband but we both know he hates me and every time I come close to you he gets angry… do… don’t you think he would do something in a fit of rage… or do you think I’m a liar”logan got desperate as his voice lowered hoping sia would feel outy but Sia looked up at him and blinked several times not sure who to trust but her heart knew her husband would never hurt anyone and in the other side there was logan who had been her friend for a very long time and he would never lie.
“Sia, trust me Emiliano isn’t what he says he is, He’s a liar who pretends to be a hero… he married you for revenge against your… i mean he’s busy deceiving you by seeing his ex lover behind your back”logan said through gritted teeth and at the mention of ex lover sia looked at him and Logan knew his words affected her.
“What Are you saying ?”she asked with narrowed eyes.
“Sia don’t get me wrong but I can’t stand this anymore, Emiliano doesn’t love you and will never love you because he’s still in love with his first lover who apparently is in the city now”he went on and said and by now Sia couldn’t hear more.
“Well I’ll take my leave now, I have to get to cross stones”she immediately said her goodbye to him and walked out of the room with a heavy heart and mixed emotions still confused with what Logan had said to her, logan smirked in victory as he watched Sia walk out obviously thinking about what he said. Sia entered the elevator still lost in thoughts and once it opened she walked out still not looking where she was going and bumped into someone and that someone held her tightly from falling and when she looked up she saw him, that familiar face she had come to like seeing every now and then but when what Logan had said hit her mind she moved away from him.
“W… what are you doing here?”she asked him while looking around the hospital and Emiliano frowned and glanced around.
“What are you doing here yourself?”he left her at home so what was she doing at the hospital.
“Well… I”she searched for words to say to him but nothing came and Emiliano looked at her vividly as he waited for her to talk but as they say saved by the bell, an elderly doctor in white coat and stethoscope around his neck approached them.
“Mr Alvaro so glad you came on short notice”the doctor greeted emiliano and sia saw emiliano smile.
“Well I always delay but finally I came to look at what the hospital needs and by the way meet my wife Sia”he said to the doctor and introduced her as his wife with so much pride that Sia stared at him and felt her heart skip a beat.
“She’s beautiful indeed you hit the jackpot… nice to meet you Sia”the doctor said to sia with a smile and she smiled back still wondering what to say or do, if emiliano found out why she came to the hospital he would get angry but then again she had questions for him concerning Logan’s accident and about what Logan said about him. She felt scared.
