Sia had lost track of time as she was carried away in talking to Mrs Johnson to the point where she didn’t realize that it was getting late. She had to admit talking to the old lady was very relaxing although she only talked about the man she called Nano, it was a strange name but she figured it was a cute nickname she gave him which made her look forward to meeting the man so badly and the next time she brought her team to take a look at the house to see where it was needed to change then she would meet the man.
After saying goodbye to the lady Sia made her way out and took out her phone to call Mario unfortunately his phone was off hence she tried Rhea’s phone and hers too was going through but no one was answering.
“Damn it Rhea, answer”she cursed as she made her way to the narrow road which was quiet since the lady’s neighborhood was too quiet with only a few houses there and then making it have a lot of dark alleys and according to kate, the little lady who looked after Mrs Johnson it was dangerous to walk at night because of the thieves who attacked innocent people.
“No no”she tried calling again but it failed and her phone was almost low, Sia was frustrated as she walked silently not wanting to attract anyone. It was getting cold and the shirt she was wearing didn’t compliment the weather, hence she could feel the cold air getting in her shirt as she shivered a little and held her bag tightly. Due to being busy with her work related talk with Mrs Johnson she had tied her hair in a bun but now she let her hair loose as she shook her head to loosen most of the tension in her neck and thought about whom to call for help. Taxis weren’t available and she couldn’t get through to anyone which led her to one conclusion, she regretted saying no to Nickolas at least he would have waited for her to finish which would have been easy.
“Should I call him?”Sia scrolled through her phone until he reached Emiliano’s name but was debating on whether to call him for help or not. This was the last person she wanted to call even though she knew he would only mock her and tell her to deal with her problem but at that point she was helpless and to make things worse her phone was about to die and if it did then there was no way anyone would help her.
“Do it Sia”she said and immediately clicked on Emiliano’s name as it started going through and Sia exhaled deeply as she waited for insults to rain on her but she was going to swallow her pride and beg him if she could.

Meanwhile there was a heated conversation as the three people in the conference room spoke about their business related issues, of course Angelo was Emiliano’s lawyer therefore he was doing all the talk with Tara since they seemed to be in the same field, Emiliano sat there his expression was blank but every now and then glanced at his friend and he could see how happy he appeared talking to Tara.
*ring ring*
Emiliano’s phone started ringing and Trey who was standing by his side prepared to take it since his boss was busy he decided to answer it but seeing the caller ID emiliano instantly snatched it away from him so fast that even Tara and Angelo who were engrossed in talking stopped and looked at him.
“Yes”Emiliano answered in an i don’t care voice as he waited for sia to speak and once she did his brows creased as he nodded.
“Where exactly?”he asked and pushed back the chair and got to his feet still holding his phone by the ear. Both Tara and Angelo were surprised at his sudden change when he knew just how important the meeting was and he was not supposed to leave in the middle.
“Stay close don’t move, I’m on my way”he remarked and cut the call and by now he had his coat in his hands and took the car keys from trey who was shocked as to why his body suddenly wanted to drive the car himself when it never happened before.
“Emil, did something happen?”Angelo who was concerned asked and Tara softly looked at Emiliano to find out what happened but Emiliano didn’t show any reaction.
“Deal with this I’m out”he said that and immediately stormed out of the room leaving an awkward silence in the room as Tara lowered her eyes to her hands not sure when he would forgive her. Since she arrived Emiliano didn’t even dare look her way, to make it worse he was treating her life nothing.
Angelo did not think much as she looked at Tara hoping she would talk to her but Tara just asked him to continue the meeting since it was getting late, feeling defeated Angelo shook the thoughts away and continued their topic of discussion.
Sia looked at her watch around her wrist and glanced in the sky, it was too dark and I had been like five minutes since she called Emiliano and to her astonishment the man said what she didn’t expect which made her wonder because according to Lulu, emiliano was supposed to be in a late meeting and would be unavailable for the rest of the night however she did not expect him to answer the phone himself.
“Ahh, why did I trust him”she mumbled in frustration and decided to move from the spot she was at just as she saw lights lit up the place and relief washed over her as her pounding heart calmed down knowing full well it was Emiliano but to her surprise when the car reached to her and the window rolled down she saw none other than.
“Logan? w… what are you doing here?”She asked and Logan who had a smile on stepped out of the car wearing dark blue jeans and a long sleeved white shirt with white sneakers, his hair was tied in a loose bun..
“Hello there, did you forget about me?”Logan said with a charming smile and went ahead and gave Sia a half hug and moved back.
“Well I thought you hated me, what are you doing here?”Sia chuckled because since that time she left him at the coffee shop, she hadn’t set her eyes on him even at the wedding he wasn’t there although it was likely known that he would show up at a wedding whose bride once was his.
“Well I’m a superhero and I sensed there was a damsel in distress and dropped everything to rescue her”he joked with a wink and again Sia couldn’t help but chuckle at how cute he looked.
“Oh really, I wonder when you had these powers huh.”
“You know me… top secret… come on it dark here”he said playfully and led her to the passenger seat, Sia glanced to the side hoping to see any sign of Emiliano unfortunately it was dark as ever and only Logan’s car was available. As much as she wanted to leave she believed emiliano changed his mind hence she entered the car and waited for logan who took the driver’s seat and locked the doors.
“So how is the little one, I’m thinking of visiting him in one of these days, man to man talk”he said and started driving, Sia lowered her head as she replied in a low tone because despite everything Logan was still cool with her mad requested if he could meet little Diego in person and for that she was grateful for his friendship.
“On the weekends, I’m sure you two will get along”she replied in a cheerful voice and logan let out a happy laugh as now he came to a corner and turned the car in the main road and applied speed and now Sia could see some civilization as people were busy walking to and from.
“We are men I’m sure he will like to know more about the business”he chuckled at his own joke and Sia smiled.
“Interesting.”
“Yeah and to congratulate you, how about dinner”logan suggested but Sia frowned recalling Emiliano’s words.
“But it’s…”she started however logan cut her off.
“No buts you owe me dinner”with that Sia nodded and the drive fell silent as they headed to a nearby restaurant without Sia realizing that Emiliano’s car had just reached the dark alley and he was busy looking for her while trying to call her unfortunately her phone was not going through.
