Sia and Jean had just arrived at one of the simplest fast food restaurants they could find which was hidden free from disturbance and after ordering a cheeseburger with french fries and milkshake both sat in the booth as they chatted happily. After making sure Sia had freshened up and did all the wedding dress selection Carmen subjected her to, she decided to drop everything and have a little chat with Jean, supposedly her friend and family private designer for Cristal.
“Wow, the food is delightful I must say”Jean said with a mouthful and Sia nodded as she drank her milkshake.
“It’s my favorite song far”she remarked with a smile and Jean nodded agreeing to her statement and both ladies chuckled and set their food down and sighed at the same time and leaned back to the chair and Jean licked her lips several times wondering where to start from in asking Sia what she was planning
“So two grooms, huh? impressive”Jean started as she got back to taking a bite of her burger and Sia knowing full well what she meant cleared her throat and played with her wrist.
“I know right, it’s a great achievement”she plainly said and Jean had the urge to laugh but only smiled faintly and took a sip of her milk shake and looked around the busy place full of middle-class people having their meals in peace, she glanced at Sia and knew it was all she wished for in life. Sia loved living a simple life, but that wasn’t the case, she was born in a wealthy family and had no way of changing her fate.
“So… who is the main groom here? As I see it the Alvaro don’t know your real identity and the Martinez don’t know about little Diego”jean went straight to the point and Sia blinked several times knowing very well the dangerous game she was playing.
“Simple I’m getting married to Logan”she made her statement clear, but Jean raised a questionable brow at her and nodded not sure if to agree or disagree
“Baby girl, don’t lie to yourself, both of us know it won’t work… as much as I hate reading people’s minds and I know Logan isn’t what you need”Jean said plainly and Sia looked up with a frown wondering what she meant, yes her wedding with Emiliano was fixed, but she wasn’t going through it instead she was going to give Logan a chance.
“He’s everything I need Jean, I wouldn’t think of any man as nice as him”she was certain Logan wasn’t such a bad idea he cared about her and her interests and would go to any length to make sure she was happy, and she did not know if any man who was better than him
“That’s the problem he’s too nice for you and nice isn’t what is right for you… tell me have you told him about Diego”jean asked and seeing Sia’s face morph into something else she was certain the man in question did not know that his bride to be had a child from another man and supposedly his enemy, yes Logan had good qualities in him that would make any woman fall for him without regretting a thing but at the same time sia didn’t need such a man, she needed more than niceness in her life which was far contrary to what Logan was offering.
“He doesn’t know, but I promise to tell him before the wedding and… and I’m sure he won’t have a problem with it”she was completely sure if she explained her situation to Logan he would understand her and accept Diego. She trusted Logan and knew he had a clear judgment and knew what was right or wrong, and hence it was worth a shot.
“Oh he would agree, but the problem is… do you really want Diego to be raised by another man who isn’t his father?” Jean asked and Sia lowered her head, of all men in the world, Emiliano was the last man she wanted to father her baby. The man was incompetent talk of that he didn’t even value other’s feelings or emotions, he was selfish and self absorbed and any word that could illustrate how irresponsible he was and would never make a good father or husband, and she knew that very well.
“Diego has me and that’s enough”Sia shot back with some anger to her tone and Jean was left helpless has she sighed heavily and reached her hand for Sia’s hand which was on the table and squeezed it with assurance.
“It wasn’t his fault Sia… I… I fully know the kind of pain you went through… but you can’t blame him”Jean knew the full story of Sia and Emiliano encounter and had her understanding of the story and how much Sia suffered all because of one man. She, too, was upset and hated him for that but when she sat and thought about it, she came to a better understanding and knew it wasn’t anyone’s fault but the people who were after ruining Emiliano however Sia always said if they wanted to ruin Emiliano then it was entirely his fault and deserved to be punished.
“And that’s why I’m getting my revenge on him… yes I’ll marry Logan at all cost and when the Alvaro’s find out about the wedding I’m convinced… they’ll get hurt and that’s what I want”she said in a stern voice and Jean knew that had been her plan all along, she deeply hated the Alvaro’s all because of Emiliano, and now she wants going to make sure their name was tainted once they found out the wedding they were planning was happening, and she was getting married to Logan instead, and it would be the biggest slap to their faces.
“Sia… please I saw how Carmen treated you… do you want to hurt her like that?” Jean saw just how sincere and happy Carmen was with Sia and moreover Carmen and the old lady had accepted her and the child with open arms hence hurting them like that would be bad in Sia’s part.
“That’s the price they are going to pay for what Emiliano did and don’t think I’m going to change my mind because… I will do anything to make sure Emiliano doesn’t have an easy life ever”she already had her target eating in the palms of her hands and knew very soon the Alvaro’s would have it worse from her side and Emiliano would be the cause of their downfall. They were so proud of their status and thought everything came easy for them as long as money was involved but by the time she was going to be through with her revenge all of them would be so sorry that no amount of money would liberate them from her clutches.
“Behind that anger I think there… is something else… tell me… if you think Emiliano was at fault, and you hate him why did you do what you did when you fully had a choice to let him die that night”jean said and saw Sia’s face loosen about and knew she had hit the nail right on the head
“That reason stays with me… if you excuse me, I have to go now… it was lovely chatting with you”Sia said comfy took her purse and walked out of jean who was left shaking her head in disbelief, she was hoping to make Sia understand and make the right choice but like always she was too stubborn to understand that but who knew what fate had installed for her so for now, she was going to wait and see what happened next.
“Waiter”Jean called for a waiter as she dug in her purse to look for cash.

It has been a long day at the office for Emiliano never in his life had he ever worked so hard like he did, and now he was driven home by none other other than Nicholas after receiving several calls from his mom and granny to get back home early for a family dinner and since his granny blackmailed him before he could refuse, he had no choice than to go home.
The car ride was a slow one due to the heavy rain and the traffic such that Emiliano was feeling frustrated, after that encounter with Logan he had gone to the office only to find angelo waiting for him with tons of paperwork which consumed half of his time and energy such that by the time he was done more work was delivered. Emiliano shook his head back to reality only to find that the car had stopped in the middle of an empty dark road and Emiliano feeling concerned coldly stared at Nickolas.
“S… sir lookout”Nickolas said and rolled down the car window, Emiliano arched his brow and did as Nickolas said wondering why and what but as soon as his eyes glanced out cold sweat broke on his forehead as he immediately stormed out of the car not minding how much the heavy rain was pouring and rushed to the person walking in the rain as if they didn’t give a damn about it.
“Are you fucking crazy woman?”Emiliano said in anger as he used his hand and turned Sia who was walking but stopped when she heard Emiliano’s voice.
“Mind your own business, will you?”she glared at him and started walking away, feeling frustrated and angered on why he was bothering with the likes of his enemy but he had to do something or the cunning fox might use it against him against his granny if he left her in the heavy rain.
“Don’t be stubborn, do you wish to die… if so then wait until you are out of my house… then you can die”saying that he didn’t even wait for her to reply as he swinged her over his shoulders and carried her back to the car.
“P… put me down… don’t touch me”Sia protested as she kicked and clawed on his suit but the man didn’t dare let her go until he reached the car and shoved her inside.
“Stay”he growled in anger and got in and slammed the door shut, both panting and catching their breaths from rage, their bodies drenched in rain water and Emiliano could see his enemy had it worst because her see through shirt stuck to her like a third skin showing her inside, he averted his eyes and pushed his wet hair falling on his face back.
“How dare you!”Sia yelled but Emiliano didn’t even look at her.
“Nick drive us to the penthouse”he ordered and Nickolas nodded without questions because he knew the rain had become even more violent making it impossible for him to drive therefore it would be best if they stopped somewhere and waited for it to stop.
“And where were you coming from?
“Not your business”Sia coldly replied and Emiliano clenched his fist.
