Sia was seated like a statue beside Carmen who kept on apologizing to her for what Emiliano did earlier at the party and of course she had no problems with what he did, in fact he did her a favor by disappearing just when Carmen was about to announce the wedding. Carmen kept blaming herself for not having control over her son and since granny didn’t come to the party because the old lady had a serious issue with noisy places and huge parties were what she didn’t like and since Emiliano only feared his granny and not his mom he went ahead and left the party without a trace leaving Carmen to give all sorts of excuses to cover up for what happened. So guessed Emiliano found some beautiful woman to tangle with for the night because she knew how much women mattered to him, and he didn’t give a damn about ruining his family party.
“Sia dear, I’m truly sorry for this… I promise to deal with Email for what he did”Carmen said in an apology tone and reached for sia’s right hand and squeezed it in assurance.
“Aunt, it’s okay I’m sure he had other things to do”Sia said sincerely and Carmen smiled faintly while Vince who was sitting in front together with the driver scoffed loud enough for Carmen and Sia to hear. Sia gave all credit to mario who made sure she didn’t meet her parents at the party although she had bumped into her dad several times but as usual her dad only paid attention to things involving his business and some point she came across Tara but due to the mask no one recognized her.
“I’m glad that he left, who knew how people would have laughed at us… didn’t you see how proud the Martinez appeared at our own party all because they fixed an alliance with the Navarro’s”his tone was full of hate directed at Sia who didn’t utter a word as she lowered her head looking at her hands, if only they knew that they go the real thing and only then would she see how Vince would react but whatever it was she decided to keep murm and wait for them to reach.
Silence reigned in side the car until they entered the Alvaro compound and once the car came to a stop Vince stormed out and Sia didn’t wait for anyone to open the door as she went and got out herself so did Carmen who waited for Sia to join them they proceeded inside the mansion, Sia hugged her body due to the cold wind blowing as a shiver went down her spine and the warmth of inside caressed her skin as tension left her and saw Angie rush to her with a cup of hot coffee.
“Here Sia, it’s a bit cold today I’m sure a hot bath and coffee will fix it”Angie said with a smile and Sia who was moved about how much they all cared for her took the cup and smiled faintly. Angie could see something else in Sia’s eyes however she couldn’t ask because she was just a helper who dared not to question her boss no matter what.
“Thanks Angie”Sia said as she prepared to walk away, but Carmen stopped her.
“Sia I almost forgot… are you sure little Diego will be alright staying overnight with your friend?”she didn’t agree to it and suggested Lulu and Angie look after Diego or better yet leave him with granny but Sia disagree saying granny wasn’t feeling okay and Angie had house responsibilities to do around the house, and therefore Carmen had no way of convincing her.
“I’m a hundred percent, Rhea is fine with Diego”Sia replied and Carmen nodded but still with doubt having to have her precious grandson away from the comfort of home but if Sia was certain, then she was going to trust her.
“Okay then it’s late now, go get some rest”Carmen said and Sia nodded and made her way upstairs still holding the mug cup and once she pushed her bedroom door open she sighed heavily and let her hair loose and kicked her shoes off, set the cup on the stand and threw her tired body on the bed and relaxed a bit
“Damn”she muttered and closed her eyes recalling what transpired between her and Logan. She felt guilty of her actions and knew some people would get hurt in the end and wanted some badly to come clean about everything, but feared the consequences. Her dad would take away Diego once he learned about him and the Alvaro’s would hate her for deceiving them.
“Oh no”she mumbled in a worried tone and sat up only to drag her lazy body to the bathroom to soak in a hot bubble bath which she needed desperately.
After a good amount of soaking in the bathtub, Sia got out and wore her nightwear which was just some gray shirts and a long sleeved shirt and decided to go to the kitchen to grab some water hoping everyone were asleep and that she doesn’t bump into the Casanova. And like the heavens were smiling at her, she found the entire house empty with all the lights switched off and with a smile, she made her way to the kitchen and once got there she turned on the lights and retrieved a bottle of water from the refrigerator. Sia swung the bottle in the air as she walked back to her room but just then bumped into Carmen who gasped but smiled when she saw her.
“Still up dear? I’m glad, can you take this first aid box to Emil… he’s injuried”saying that, Carmen shoved the first aid box in Sia’s hands who had no idea what it was all about and took it.
“Huh?”she arched her brows and Carmen smiled even.
