“You have to be kidding!” Angelo exclaimed as he fixed his gaze on Diego who was crying like someone had dropped him from the fifth floor, Angelo was lost not sure what to do because since he arrived to where Emiliano was, he had seen nothing but watch Diego cry nonstop, and now it was getting the best of him, as they tried to find out what was wrong with him. Emiliano was going insane having to take care of a little baby who neither talked nor walked at least he would have known what he wanted but so far, nothing.
“That vile woman left and ran away”Emiliano said through gritted teeth as he held the baby carefully in his arms, he was tired from walking around trying to keep him quiet and of course Trey was calling him nonstop saying the client was already waiting for him.
“D… do you think she dumped the baby and left for good”Angelo gasped dramatically as he dug in the baby’s blanket to look for any goodbye letters he thought Sia would leave since in most serials he had watched whenever a woman had a baby she didn’t want they always dumped the baby with a letter attached to it so he expected Sia to do the same.
“What are you doing?” Emiliano asked Angelo who looked up with a serious face as he shifted his searching to the black baby bag draped down just their feet and prepared to open it but saw a baby bottle full of warm baby milk.
“What is this?”he asked raising the bottle in the air and with narrowed eyes Emiliano snatched it from him and scanned it carefully and when he felt the bottle with his hand he found the milk warm.
“Give him”Angelo said and Emiliano shrugged and shoved the bottle tip in Diego’s mouth who didn’t waste time as he sucked on it mercilessly and both Emiliano and Angelo looked at each other as they watched the little one drink the milk like he had been starved for years, ‘Sia was irresponsible’ Emiliano thought with fury.
“Wow”Emiliano murmured with amusement and Angelo smiled foolishly while Nickolas who was driving the car smiled too.
“And where are we going, we’ve been driving for a while now?” Angelo asked because it had been a while since Emiliano shoved him in the car and said he was going with them wherever they were going and now that he thought about it, he became nervous and concerned about his safety. What if the cruel Emiliano was taking him to be crucified.
“Food Galore, I have a meeting there”Emiliano simply said and Angelo widened his eyes in shock.
“With him, the baby… bad idea”he said while shaking his head and Emiliano ignored him, he already had plans before Sia dumped Diego on him that was why he even suggested the meeting to be far away from civilization, so he could get a moment of peace, but that was not the case, he was now babysitting a three months baby for crying out loud.
“I hate this place”Angelo said as he got out of the car since they already reached the restaurant which was a deserted place where boring people decided to come and ruin their lives with boredom, he knew Emiliano loved it here because he preferred peace and quiet, damn the place did not have beautiful women he could tangle with to pass time.
“My client is already in so stay with him… I’ll only take thirty minutes and whatever you do don’t follow me”Emiliano said and gave Diego to Angelo who looked like he had seen a ghost.
“W… what? Me?.. no no I don’t deal with babies, the little dudes freak me out”he panicked but took him anyway, Emiliano didn’t say much as he adjusted his clothes and made sure he looked presentable and proceeded to the main entrance of the restaurant as he was greeted by the manager since he was expecting him and led him inside.
As soon as he entered the quiet place which had an upper case which was arranged specifically for a peaceful dining, he glanced up and spotted various people having their meals in peace and with a sigh, he walked to the private table where the blonde man was sitting anxiously and once he saw Emiliano he rose to his feet.
“Sorry for keeping you waiting Mr. Jackson”Emiliano said with a smile and the man nodded.
“As long as you are here I’m fine”Jack said, and both men sat down and Emiliano gestured for the waiter to come and the man in black and white approached them holding a notebook.
“What will you have Jack?” Emiliano said as he handed him the menu which jack took with a smile and scanned it carefully.
“Anything will do”he simply said and gave the menu back to the waiter who left immediately, Emiliano glanced at his watch counting down the time he had to go back to the car because he was worried Angelo might give the baby liquor to stop him from crying, his friend was crazy and unreasonable and if it happened then Sia would be to blame, thinking of her, he wondered where she ran off to.
Without knowing, Sia was sitting with her sister just on the second to where Emiliano was as she smiled in happiness.
“This place is spectacular”Tara said as she ate her salad and Sia giggled with her mouthful.
“Told you… I always come here since its peaceful”she said as she looked around even on the first floor without knowledge that Emiliano was just below him and that Emiliano had received a text from Trey updating him on the whereabouts of the ghost kitten who Trey said was having lunch with her elder sister
“So tell me, how fun is Oakville for my baby sis to love it like this”Tara said as he held the fork in her hands and Sia looked up with wide eyes and took a sip of her juice enjoying the taste of it.
“Because here I can be myself without having to worry about status”Sia simply said and Tara understood her sister very well, she knew just how much it was important to their dad to keep a high status that included minding what they did and wore.
“Really? Did you happen to meet someone special?” Tara asked with a chuckle and Sia looked at her with a frown.
“Nope, boring men here”she said and Tara burst out laughing as they continued chatting recalling their mischief when they were young and ordered more food, Sia still kept in mind that she needed to get back to Emiliano who knew what the man was doing by now.
Meanwhile below, Emiliano was having a good time as he spoke to jack about their business deals and the benefits they’ll have ripe once they became partners and Emiliano was impressed the man was business minded and knew just what to say to convince someone however Emiliano was no different as he shrewdly attacked Jack with many questions and ideas that left him perplexed with amusement.
“You are something else Emil… I…”jack started with a chuckle but stopped when they hear a baby cry and with alertness both men turned their heads to the direction of the noise and Emiliano’s face went pale knowing full well who it was and above him Sia had frozen as she recognized Diego’s little cry and knew trouble had followed her.
