A Reunion?

“What information on her movement do you have?” Matias asked the spy he assigned to Ariella.
“She’s always indoor Alpha. I have watched for three weeks now, and she hasn’t stepped a foot out of the castle, I suppose, the workers and maids run her errands for her as the princess, so she gets to do nothing.”
“Just keep watching, a day when she’ll walk into my bait is approaching. She’s mine and mine alone,” Matias declared determined.
As though Matias knew it was going to happen, Ariella stepped out that morning to a hair salon, she was accompanied by Mrs. Charles, the head chef of the palace, alongside a warrior wolf.
The moment the spy who had been standing outside for hours saw her, he mind linked Matias and immediately trailed after them, providing Matias the information of their whereabouts.
For Ariella, she was using the salon to investigate the near-death experience she and Jason had.
After falling into the bridge and getting injured from the broken glass in the bridge, Jason assigned a private mechanic to check out what went wrong with the car after the car was pulled out from the water.
The convoy they came with waited as they made their investigation. Being the crowned king, the warrior wolves that were in the other cars, swan into action and blocked the road, not letting anyone pass through it.
It turned out the brakes of his car were tampered with and that was what led to the malfunction of the vehicle.
“You can’t be serious, how possible is that? We came to the party in that same car, so how can you tell me the brake was tampered with?” Ariella spoke, unable to believe what she had heard.
Who wanted her and Jason dead?
The car was alright just this morning and now in the evening a life was lost because someone tampered with the brakes.
The body of the driver was pulled out from the water and immediately taken to the morgue.
Going to the salon was a means to get information. Women liked to gossip carelessly when they were in a saloon.
Meanwhile, Mitchell woke up that morning and felt the urge to go style her hair. It’s been almost a month now, and she never heard any news about the demise of Jason and his wife.
She used all the connections she had to find out anything concerning Jason, but it was all to no avail. Even her ally Jacinta tried on her part but got no reasonable information.
It was as though Jason and his wife to be disappeared because no news about the king was heard in over three weeks.
Heeding to the urge to style her hair, Mitchell decided to use a well-known saloon that only attended to rich women and ladies, although she had her personal hairstylist.
Reason was that at the saloon, the rich women gossiped recklessly, showing off all they acquired and proudly giving out information they had without thinking just to show they were above one another.
By the time Mitchell was ready, her driver was already waiting downstairs for her.
“Where are we heading to? Ma’am” The driver asked politely.
“Exclusive Saloon,” Mitchell answered shortly. The driver nodded and started their journey to the saloon.
Mitchell got to the saloon and was welcomed warmly as the wealthy lady she was. As expected, Mitchell met some prestigious women and ladies here.
“Isn’t she the one who cheated on the king?,” A blonde lady uttered audibly for Mitchell to hear, but Mitchell gave her no audience by totally ignoring her.
Seeing that Mitchell gave her no attention, the lady felt ashamed of herself and kept mute.
A few minutes later, the women forgot all about what the blonde lady did and started chattering among themselves.
Mitchell paid attention to every word they spoke without contributing or interrupting their gossip.
Suddenly, everywhere fell silent as though a ghost passed by, Mitchell turned to see everyone drooling while looking at the entrance of the saloon.
Mitchell followed their gazes and her eyes fell on Ariella, who was the most beautiful and perfect woman she had ever seen.
How was she even alive? She made sure she destroyed the brake that day. No! This isn’t what she hoped for.
She thought they had both died and that the queen mother was trying to conceal the death, but once again she turned out failing.
Beautiful was an understatement.
Ariella wasn’t a mortal.
She had a long black healthy hair.
Mitchell clenched her fist in anger, she was so upset, Ariella was more beautiful than she was, and she had nothing in comparison to Ariella.
No matter how much and how hard it was going to be, she was going to make sure Ariella dies alongside Jason.
Ariella had Jason, and that was enough reason to kill her.
Ariella walked elegantly into the saloon, and all the women except Mitchell bowed to her in respect. Ariella felt weird seeing them bowing to her, but she maintained a warm smile on her face.
Ariella couldn’t help but notice the beautiful lady who was looking at her with so much contempt. Why was the lady looking at her that way? She had never seen the lady before, her face was new.
Who was she?
Ariella decided to ignore the deadly stares that were being thrown at her, convincing herself that as a King’s mate, she was going to have female enemies who were jealous of her.
“I thought an Alpha’s mate is meant to look elegant and sophisticated, but you seem different, you smell poor and wretched,” Mitchell attacked when Ariella proceeded to sit down.
Ariella, who decided to ignore Mitchell suddenly, changed her mind and decided to attack back. Ariella faced her before saying,
“You and I know that’s not true, if I were poor and wretched, you wouldn’t feel threatened by me. Your reaction shows exactly how you feel.”
“How dare you!” Mitchell screamed in annoyance. Ariella right saw through her.
It dawned on Ariella that this lady had something against her that was beyond mere jealousy because she was about to be queen.
The women in the salon became quiet and engrossed in the heated conversation that was going on between the two of them.
They couldn’t wait to see what will happen between the two of them so they could spread the news all through the kingdom.

Matias hummed and danced around happily, not minding the presence of his workers. It was his happy day, and he was going to enjoy and live in the moment.
Matias was so sure that the seed of hatred he planted in Ariella against Jason must have germinated. No woman wanted to be treated like trash.
No woman was going to be happy knowing that her man would dump her if he finds a lady more beautiful than her.
It was his lucky moment to have Ariella all to himself and as his wife.
Mathias hurriedly dressed up and headed over to the saloon his spy told him Ariella went to.
Mathias got to the saloon and spotted Ariella standing face to face with another woman, it seemed as though they were having a heated conversation.
Who was that lady disturbing his heartrob?
Was she trying to get killed?
Matias got out of his car and teleported to the entrance of the saloon, he had just stepped a foot into the saloon when the other lady turned and Mitchell’s face was revealed.
Unbelievable!
It’s been years since he saw her last. One would have thought that Mitchell even left the wolf kingdom to a far place.
Mitchell, who was oblivious of the presence of Matias, tried to slap Ariella when Matias held her hand firmly, preventing her from doing so.
“Don’t touch her,” Matias warned, looking at her fiercely.
“Matias?” Mitchell uttered out of disbelief. She couldn’t believe the person right in front of her was Matias, it’s been like ages since she last saw him, but why was he defending Ariella?
Was he having an affair with her?
Mitchell vividly remembered how Mathias begged her not to when she decided to break up the relationship between them after Jason caught them in bed.
Matias had a habit of trying to steal what belonged to Jason because he was envious of him.
Even though Mitchell had nothing to do with Matias, she felt so bad that he was defending Ariella.
What did these men even see in her?
After warning her, Matias looked at Ariella lovingly before asking,
“Are you okay, dear?”
Ariella looked at Matias without saying a word, she intentionally ignored his question so he would feel embarrassed but contrary to her expectation, Matias only smiled.
Why was he here at a ladies’ salon?
Was he stalking her?
The last time they both meet was at the party, since then, she hasn’t stepped a foot out from the castle and today that she did, here he was in front of her.
Was he stalking her?
Matias wasn’t upset that Ariella ignored him, and he just couldn’t understand. He hated being embarrassed by any woman, but here he was smiling, unbothered after being embarrassed by a woman.
“Are you stalking me?” Ariella asked a question that threw him off balance and the smile on his face faded.
How did she know what he did? She seemed smart.
“Stalk you? No way! I just happened to see you from my car parked outside and decided to come say hello,” Matias explained, smiling nervously.
He couldn’t afford to lose her over something as irrelevant as stalking, so he lied.
“Hahaha haha… Why does it seem like you are lying to her?” Mitchell mocked. She knew he was lying. Mitchell was even jealous at the way Matias looked at her with so much care and admiration.
She has never seen him this way before.
Was he really in love with her?
“He wasn’t talking to you!” Ariella snapped and Mitchell without thinking made to slap Ariella when a firm hand held her.
“Is this some sort of reunion?” Jason asked and released her hand, but not without giving her a deadly stare.
How did he get here?
Apparently, Mrs. Charles who came with Ariella to the saloon mind linked the Alpha king and told him what was happening.
The women in the salon all stood up and bowed to their king.
“What are you all still doing here? Get out this minute!” Jason yelled at the women, who had their heads still bowed, and they hastily began to leave the saloon.
“I don’t want to know why you both are here on the same day my wife came to visit this salon. It isn’t a coincidence, of that I am sure. If I ever see you both near her, I’ll destroy you both!”
Jason already had enough of them popping into his life, this time around he wasn’t bluffing, if anything happens to Ariella, he will destroy them.
“Baby, let’s go,” Jason said and grabbed her hand, leaving the salon.
As they got to the exit of the salon, Jason turned to the owner of the salon who was standing and shaking visibly and said to her,
“Your Salon is blacklisted.”
“No! That’s not possible,” Matias exclaimed loudly.
“She’s supposed to be hating him.”
