There was confusion in the castle, guards, and maids ran helter skelter. What was happening?
“Alpha! Alpha!! Your mother,” A guard barged into Jason’s room, breathing hard.
“Yes, What’s wrong? What happened to my mother?” Jason asked in panic. What has happened to her? Was she attacked?
“She’s….”

Isabella, Jason’s mother, found herself standing on the rooftop of a castle, contemplating a drastic action. She was very desperate to see Jason marry Jacinta and her desperation has led her to threaten to commit suicide unless her son, Jason, agreed to marry Jacinta that she had chosen for him. This complex situation was deeply rooted in Isabella’s desire to secure her son’s future while navigating her emotions and concerns.
Isabella, as the mother of the most powerful Alpha werewolf, held great influence and knowledge of the supernatural world. The werewolf hierarchy placed significant importance on lineage and the continuation of powerful bloodlines. Understanding the weight of her family’s legacy, Isabella recognized that securing a worthy mate for her son was not merely a matter of personal affection, but rather a strategic decision that affected the entire pack.
Standing on the castle rooftop, Isabella confronted her emotions and the difficult decision she was considering. It was evident that her maternal instincts and love for her son Jason had become entangled with the responsibility she felt towards their werewolf community. Isabella perceived the potential societal repercussions of Jason marrying a partner outside the carefully assessed options she had presented him.
Though her actions seemed extreme, it was essential to evaluate Isabella’s perspective through a lens of complex family dynamics and supernatural politics. Isabella’s desire for Jason to marry Jacinta was likely driven by a combination of factors such as Jacinta’s compatibility with their lineage, her understanding of the political landscape, her hopes for a prosperous future for their pack and also Jacinta was her best friend’s daughter, so she was certain Jacinta was from a well-mannered family and was just the best choice for Jason.

Jason ran with inhumane speed, the guard told him his mother was standing on the rooftop and was trying to commit suicide. Jason hoped it was a joke because how could his mother want to commit suicide? What did she lack aside from a husband? And he was trying his best to fill up the void his father left, if not, he would have left his family house a long time ago; because he didn’t want her to feel lonely, he didn’t build his own house, so what exactly was the issue?
Jason opened his mouth wide in shock when he saw that, truthfully, his mother was standing on the highest rooftop of the castle. How did she climb there? Was she crazy? And funny enough, Isabella held a megaphone, so Jason could hear her when she presented her request.
“Get me a mega phone quickly!” Jason ordered and in no time it was brought.
“Mum, please come down, what are you doing?” Jason said through the mega phone.
“I will not come down unless you promise to marry Jacinta,” Isabella replied.
Jason’s jaw dropped, so his mother was doing this for Jacinta? Unbelievable!
In this tense moment on the rooftop, Isabella placed immense pressure on her son, hoping that he will recognize the significance of her request. She viewed this union to secure their family’s power and ensure their dominance in the werewolf community. The notion of sacrificing her life served as an emotional bargaining tool, magnifying the gravity of the decision for Jason and emphasizing the extent of her desperation.
The guests were also present, keenly watching the event that was playing before them. Was Jason going to agree to his mother’s request or allow her to commit suicide? They all knew of Jason’s tragic relationship with Roselyn and ever since then, Jason avoided women as a plague, so agreeing to marry Jacinta wasn’t going to be an easy one for Jason. Yes! No one could choose a mate for an Alpha, but they were allowed to mate with someone an elderly person vouched for.
Jason kept quiet for a long time, “Don’t agree to it!” Everest warned. As much as Jason wanted to refuse her request, her life was important to him. He already lost his father and he couldn’t afford to lose his mother too.
“Fine mum, I won’t treat her bad anymore, just come down please!” Jason begged.
Isabella laughed within her, Jason was trying to play a smart one on her. He was trying to use promising to treat Jacinta well to escape from the marriage idea she proposed, but that wasn’t going to work.
Isabella pretended to be thinking about it deeply, and that earned a smile from Jason. He knew just how to calm his mother down, or so he thought.
“No! I’ll jump down from here in the next few seconds if you don’t tell me what I want to hear.”
Jason was stunned, so this wasn’t a prank? His mother was serious about the whole marriage thing to the extent of risking her life?
“One… two… Three…” Isabella counted and pretended to take a step forward,
“Don’t please! I’ll marry her, please mum, I already lost dad, don’t do this to me ,” Jason pleaded desperately. In Jason’s head, Everest growled in anger and Jason warned him to shut up with a growl.
Isabella was moved with tears at what Jason just said, he deeply cared for her as a mother and didn’t want her to die, and that was just enough. Hearing him agree to marry Jacinta was the best news she had heard in a long time.
Jason heard claps around him, he turned and saw his guests cheering and smiling happily at him. He gave them a forceful smile and returned his attention to his mother.
” What are you all waiting for? Go get the safety net right now!” Jason snapped at the guards and in no time they came back with the safety net and placed it in the right spot. “Jump down mum.”
Isabella was pleased and with a smile, she jumped down. Isabella loved the feelings she got from jumping down, it was chilly. It felt like she was really flying and in a short period of time she landed on the safety net giggling like a baby.

It’s been two days since Jacinta was locked up, she wasn’t given food or water to drink. She looked malnourished and unkempt. She was almost losing consciousness due to the starvation. Not only that, but she missed her mother and father, she wasn’t even expecting Jason to allow her parents to come see her. If he could tell his mother to join her in the guard’s room, there was absolutely nothing he couldn’t do.
Jacinta heard the sound of a key opening the door and thought it was a hallucination that her brain was giving to her before death will finally take her away. But to her surprise, a bright light shine inside the room.
A guard entered and gently carried her on his shoulder. Was he going to execute her? Who sent him? Jason never said he was going to execute her. Jacinta wanted to scream, but she was out of strength and in the very next minute, she blacked out.
