“Say, Tita Sarah (aunt)” Sarah said as she taught the little boy in front of him. The child has porcelain skin like Luna but the whole face features were similar to Maximus. He is so adorable and handsome like his father. Everyone who sees him though he is a child star.
The little boy smiles sweetly at her, giving her a sense of warmth and sunshine. Ever since the child arrived at the family, they became livelier and both Maximus and Luna arrived at home early to take care personally of their child.
The child shook his head and giggled in front of his aunt. He likes to tease her like his father does all the time. Sarah rolled her eyes. She really thought that the child was like his father.
“You are lucky that you are my nephew,” Sarah said as she carried the child and went inside the kitchen to dine in together with the family. She always played with her nephew in the morning and the child will play a prank on her out of nowhere.
One time, the child mixed all of her expensive makeup when she left him in her room. She cried a lot because of what happened. The child reasons out to his father that he wanted to become a scientist in the future that is why he did something terrible like that.
“Zarren” Luna called and made the child’s attention diverted to her.
Zarren’s eyes got sparkled as he heard her mother calling his name. He got excited and raised both of his hands. He is waving to her mother begging to be carried by her and put him into her embrace.
“Mama” He called her. He runs towards his mom. She is the only woman she respected a lot beside her grandparents and aunt. Zarren loves her mother so much and being with her made him feel happy and safe.
Luna stood up and walked towards her child. She carried him and put him to her embrace. She smiled at him. Every time she looked at Zarren, she always remembered her husband. She remembered how she met Maximus until today. It was a beautiful memory that she does not want to forget.
Maximus just got outside their room. He stopped when he saw his wife and son being so lovey-dovey in the kitchen. His son keeps rubbing his nose into his mother’s nose while laughing. His brows rose and headed towards them while crossing his arms.
“Zarren, do not take advantage of your mom. She is mine” He said to his son.
“No! My mommy is mine” Zarren hugged his mom tightly and pouted making everyone in awe except Maximus.
“Seriously brother? You are jealous of your son?” Sarah asked while rolling her eyes again. This brother of hers never changes.
“Do not underestimate my son. I know him very well. He is just using his cuteness and age to fool you all” Maximus said and carried his son to sit together and started eating their meals.
Maximus knew his son very well because he always brings him to his office to study science and history. Zarren loves things that have something to do with science and history. Maximus discovered this one time when they once visited a museum, Zarren cried a lot and asked his parents to live with him at the museum. Maximus ends up building him a large room full of books, antiques, telescopes, and many more just to stop him from crying.
He is a father who loves doting his son like his wife.
Luna watched her husband and her son in the garden. They are digging the soil to look for a treasure. They even wear costumes and use a treasure map. She smiled at them. Looking back at the past Luna learned a lot.
The last time she visited Liza at the hospital together with Maximus. Liza was admitted to the mental hospital. She totally loses her mind after hearing that Shawn left the country. She was talking to herself and kept uttering the word ‘sorry’.
Luna thought if only Liza learned to love herself genuinely first, she can and will learn how to give and let go. She will have the chance to find the right person who will stand by her side, the right person who will see the beauty within her flaws and find what she truly deserves.
Shawn, the person who she thought to spend the rest of her life at the beginning finally ends the story between them. He hugged her for the last time and bid goodbye to each other. He went to another country to move on, to forget, and to find himself. He will be back when the time is right, but when he comes back, he promises to make sure that his special someone already owned his heart.
Shawn finally let her go not because he cannot do anything but rather, he realized that he needs to accept that there are things that are beyond control. In the very end, he cared for Luna’s happiness more than his own no matter how painful his choice was.
Luna gave love to the wrong person. She got hurt. She moved on. The wound healed and her heart learned until she found the person who she truly deserves, and it is Maximus. Those mistakes from the past helped her to find him, to find each other.
“Do you want to join us, or do you want to spend some time alone with me?” Maximus asked to smirk as he left his son on his own, finding the treasure he set up. He walked towards her and hugged her back. Feeling the warmth from his skin, her whole being keeps him more attached to her. He is liking and loving her more and more.
“No, I love watching you both” she answered honestly.
Luna smiled and looked at him in the eyes. Until now she cannot believe that this person was meant for him. Maximus and Luna proved that “What is meant for you will never be for somebody else, no matter what happens it will find its way towards you”.
“Hey, I want to have a daughter” Maximus suddenly said when he realized that Zarren was playing all by himself. He thought that his son needs a sister and someone that will make him smile.
“Huh? Why so sudden?” Luna asked, confused.
“Come on, let us leave him alone and create another” Maximus teased him and tried to pull her inside the house but she retaliated.
“Shut up, Maximus,” Luna said trying to stop her husband from acting like a child again.
“Okay, to compensate me, give me a kiss then” Maximus demanded.
This time Luna nodded and waited for his kiss. He closes his eyes ready to kiss Luna. He was about to kiss her when he felt that his lips did not touch her lips. He opened his eyes and realized that he was kissing Zarren’s cheeks.
“Not so fast, daddy,” Zarren smirked and hugged both of his parents.
“You little…” In the end, they both laughed at each other and continued talking about a lot of things.
“I love you both,” Maximus said and kissed Luna and his son Zarren.
He was thankful that they found each other.
They are really DESTINED for each other.
