Kimberly woke up and found Nicholas still embracing her in his sleep. After the passionate kiss they shared last night, Nicholas didn’t immediately let Kimberly leave his room. He continued to cuddle and hold her body until they both fell back asleep.
For a moment, Kimberly stayed still, choosing to enjoy Nicholas’s warm embrace. However, after a while, she gently tapped his forehead. Slowly, the auburn-haired woman tried to break free from his hold. But in reality, he woke up and even held onto her body tighter.
“Where are you going?” he asked with his eyes still closed.
“I need to take a shower. Aren’t we supposed to go back to Indonesia today?”
Spending three days in London was not enough for Kimberly, especially since it was her first time setting foot in Queen Elizabeth’s land. But given Nicholas’s busy work schedule, they had to return to Indonesia this afternoon.
“What time is it now?” he asked again.
Kimberly then squinted at the clock on the wall in the corner of the room.
“It’s already eight in the morning.”
She heard him sigh heavily. After a while, Kimberly felt a shiver down her spine when Nicholas intentionally kissed the back of her neck. Inhaling her scent deeply, Nicholas’s deep voice was heard again.
“I still want to hold your body. Besides, our plane takes off at two in the afternoon,” he said casually.
Kimberly pouted in annoyance, then turned to face Nicholas.
“I need to shower and have breakfast. If you’ve forgotten, I can’t skip my medication schedule.”
Nicholas nodded once. “Alright. But before you go, give me a morning kiss first,” he shamelessly asked Kimberly for a kiss.
Could this guy ask for another kiss?
“Is what we had last night not enough, you pervert?”
“What did you call me? A pervert?” Nicholas shook his head in disbelief. “Wasn’t it you last night who was so aggressively kissing my lips? It could be that one day you might be the one forcing yourself on me. So who deserves to be called a pervert now?” he smirked.
“Hey! That’s enough!” Kimberly exclaimed, glaring fiercely, growing more irritated by what he was saying.
Kimberly had forgotten that she was the one who dominated last night, pulling him into her embrace. Even though it was just a kiss, it had still aroused Nicholas’s desires.
“Okay. I’ll let you go this time. But don’t expect me to let you off the hook next time,” he warned.
Kimberly nodded obediently. Not wanting to miss the opportunity, she quickly slipped down from the bed and ran out as fast as lightning. She was afraid that Nicholas might change his mind. Meanwhile, Nicholas just chuckled at her behavior.

Sixteen hours later, Kimberly and Nicholas finally arrived in Indonesia. While yesterday, when they were leaving, Kimberly felt fine, this time, throughout the journey from the airport to their apartment, she kept massaging her temples. Her face even looked pale now. Nicholas noticed this and felt that something was amiss, so he asked,
“Why? Is your illness acting up again?”
Still massaging her temples, Kimberly tried to respond. “It seems like I have jetlag. I feel like I’m experiencing a local earthquake now.”
“Pathetic,” Nicholas said with a face that Kimberly found infuriating. “You’ve just been to England. What if one day you accompany me on a trip to America or maybe Canada? It takes 20 to 24 hours to get there,” he continued.
“I’d resign as your secretary if that’s the case,” Kimberly replied casually.
Nicholas raised an eyebrow. “And become a homeless wanderer?”
“In case you’ve forgotten, there’s Mr. Edward who’s ready to take me in. Besides, I’m quite competent. So it wouldn’t be hard to find a job elsewhere,” Kimberly said confidently, as if it would be Nicholas’s loss if he let her go. However, considering her abilities and how well she handled all the tasks Nicholas assigned, firing her would be a decision that required careful consideration. After all, only Kimberly could tolerate his annoying behavior.
Without interest, Nicholas listened to the woman’s ranting beside him. Shortly after, he suddenly pulled Kimberly closer and cradled her body, resting her head on his broad chest. “Stop your chatter. For now, lean on me. I’ll let you know when we arrive. And remember! Never discuss other men in front of me.”
Strange human!
Could it be that Nicholas had a split personality? He was so annoying before. And now, look at him? Suddenly acting sweet.
