He filled his plate with beef steak before answering my questions.
“You want to know? I’m afraid you will be surprised if I tell you.” He simply warned me.
What is he talking about? I want to ask him to tell me everything but we were interrupted by a sudden call from his phone.
“Excuse me,” he said and I let him.
While he was talking to somebody, I heard rumbling sounds inside my stomach. I hold it and it feels empty. I haven’t eaten anything since I attend the party that is why I felt hungry.
“Let me try this one” I mumbled while taking a fried hotdog on my plate.
I continue my breakfast without him. It’s almost five minutes and he hasn’t come back yet. I feel worried and confused. I clean my oily lips with a tissue and made my way to find him in the living room. I was three steps away when I saw him talking to a guy. I can’t tell who he is because he was facing the main door. His posture looks familiar to me. I waited for him to looked back and it happened.
I was shocked at what I saw. It can’t be. He was Anika’s past lover. How come they knew each other when he deeply broke Anika’s heart by messing up their wedding.
Three hours earlier
Argus PoV
” Good morning, Argus. I called you if I can come by at your place?” Jerick called but I was not in the mood to meet him besides Ms. Perez is here in my place.
I made an alibi.
” Jerick? Is that you? When did you come back?” I said to my old-time friend.
“A few days ago. Can I drop by?” He begs and I can’t let him down. She was my sister’s fiance but she’s dead now.
Maybe I can introduce Anika to him like my girlfriend. It’s not my intention to plan all of this but since he always teases me for not having a mate in my entire life, maybe he will shut his mouth when saw her.
” Fine. Just come.” I said and I went upstairs to check if she was still unconscious or not.
Last night was my first time seeing her like that. I had no choice but to keep her from them.

“Hello, Argus, I’m here!” Jerick called him and Argus excuses himself to Anika.
“I’ll be back. I need to answer this call.” He told Anika and stood up from his seat after taking one but of his beef steak.
Anika nods her head. She waited long so she followed him outside and he has no idea what to do or react because the person he was talking to was Anika’s ex-boyfriend Jerick.
This is it, her first mission finally went by to herself. She has no problem finding him anymore but how come they knew each other. Ariana has no clue why knew him.
Whatever it is, it’s none of her business anymore. Her first mission was committed to her mind. She remembered everything about what Ergo told both of them about their mission.
“Broke his heart and start over again. If he wants to come back, tell him that your love died the day he didn’t show up on your wedding day!” It’s what the genie Ergo said.

Ariana POV
“Anika?” Jerick mumbled as he saw her near the stairs.
Argus was surprised that both of them knew each other.
“Jerick?” Ariana replied.
Ariana Pov as Anika
I quickly feel nervous after Jerick saw me. I remembered that he was the guy I was looking for. He’s Anika’s past lover and because of him, she became cold-hearted to everyone. Her heart froze for many years because of this man. I must give the dose of his own medicine. This is my chance to let go of him if that’s what Anika failed to do while she was left by him.
“Anika, is that you?” He asked me like he was surprised to see me at Argus’ house.
I made a brave face, putting my heads up and my eyebrows.
“Yes, it’s me. You both know each other?” I simply said. I was mimicking Anika so that he will believe me and no one would suspect that I am fake.
My eyes shifted to Argus who was also confused about what is happening right now. He didn’t know that they both known each other.
“Wait, Yes we know each other because Jerick is my long-time friend,” Argus told me.
What? Meaning if they knew each other for so long, Argus was there when Jerick ran away from Anika before their wedding ceremony. If that the case is he knows too that Anika was his bride. I think something is fishy here.
I walked closer while crossing my arms in my chest. My eyes glued at Jerick so that I can see his reaction if I tell him the Argus is my boyfriend.
” Nice to see you again, Jerick. Babe, shall we go back to the table to continue our breakfast?” I said sweetly.
I saw Jerrick’s face suddenly crumpled. Maybe he’s so pissed at the moment. I wonder what would Anika do to him if she was in my position. Even I met him twice, I can see the bad side of him just seeing his eyes and body language.
Argus tilted his head on me with a big question mark on his face. Like he was stunned at what I did.
I widened my eyes on him indicating that he ist follow me.
“Ah, okay babe. Come on Jerick.” He said to his friend and Jerick can’t believe what he just witnessed about us.
We are now sitting at the table and I can feel the tension between the three of us especially Jerick. He was staring at me the whole time. I simply ignore him and start digging my food.
“I order seafood Jerick. I know you like seafood.” Argus told him while munching his food.
Jerick just smiled fakenly.
“Yes, but I don’t eat that when—oh, never mind. Nothing.” He said and focus on his food too.
Argus was very happy when the seafood arrived.
“Babe, why won’t you try this?” He said while putting grilled prawns on my plate.
“Thank you, BABE!” I softly replied.
I took one bite and it’s yummy. I haven’t eaten this kind of menu in my life. I’m a slave and a poor girl who grew up with an unloving family so being here in this world, to be Anika Perez is a huge blessing for me. I know my time here is about to end. I know I got carried away with my feelings for him but Ergo told me how upset Anika is to knowing I almost fell at Argus’ charm.
I ate three sets of prawns until Jerick stops my hand.
“Wait, stop now! Do you know that you’re allergic to seafood?” He yelled at me and Argus was startled too about Jerick’s reaction.
I don’t know what he is talking about. I am not allergic to anything.
“What? I am not!” I quickly replied until I almost forgot that I am not Arian. I am inside Anika’s body.
Gosh, I’m doomed.
“Oh, yes, excuse me. I feel itchy all over.” I said and leave them alone.
I got escapee from them. I finally feel relieved and I gathered all the air from the atmosphere and let it out after. What a relief. They almost got me there.
“How you know that Anika is allergic to seafood? ” Argus asked Jerick.
Jerick took a deep sigh. He seems unsure about the Anika be met last time and today. He thought something is wrong here. Anika would even dare to touch any kind of food that came from the seas.
He wiped his lips with a tissue and smirk.
“It’s inappropriate to tell you this since we were friends but Anika doesn’t love you. She’s only using you for revenge, to me!” Jerick is trying to confess his other past at Argus.
Argus seems confused about it.
“Wait, what do you mean by that?” He asked his friend.
Jerick closed his eyes while reminiscing the time when Anika and he were together. It was perfect and beautiful until Emma came into his life.
He opened his eyes after the painful memories in his head.
“Because Anika is my ex-lover” Argus was surprised to hear it.
He laughed at him. He even mocked his friend for lying.
“What? Why are you doing this Jerick? Don’t tell me you’re jealous because I wasn’t lonely now!” Argus keeps laughing at him.

Jerick got mad and slammed his fist on the table. He saw Anika looks nervous when he did it. His eyes laid on her.
“Right, Anika?” He asked her and she had no choice but to tell him the truth.
“Can I talk to you? Just the two of us!” She told him and Jerick followed Ariana.
Argus took one gulp of wine and had no idea what is going on.
” I told you not to come back anymore,” Ariana told him after they came outside the mansion.
Jerick walked closer and grab her arms hard.
“I still love you, Nika. I’m so sorry about last time. Will you please accept me again?” He said and quickly kneeled in front of him.
She forcibly pushed him away from her. She’s full of anger.
“Don’t ever come to near me! The moment to leave me is the time I cut off the bond between us!” She told him while the tears rushing down her face.
Jerick can’t believe how she let go of him like that? He knew she was always sending him letters just last month when he was still abroad.
He set a grin at him. He chuckled so hard.
“Really? I thought you’re allergic bit how can you be so fine? You can’t fool me fake Anika!” Ariana’s eyes widened as Jerick said something to her.
“What? I-I have–vi-vitamins. I’m good now. Please, I don’t love you anymore! Get lost!” I yelled at him until came outside.
“Can we talk inside Anika? Jerick, can you leave us alone?” He told him and I was alarmed when Jerick followed his request like nothing happened.
“Sure, bye Anika. Nice meeting you again” he said and left with a warning look on his face.
Ariana followed Argus’ inside and she stop when he told her to just stay in her place. He looked around to face her but he looks so serious.
“Tell me. I heard everything. Who are you?” He asked her and Ariana just look down and started crying.

King Theus POV
“My Lord, we heard that Annie and Gregor were killed by the rogues during their attacks!” His beta Damian delivered him the bad news.
King Theus had a daughter to Annie but she ran away with the help of the King himself because his Luna might kill them both. He found out that Annie was pregnant with his child so he helped her to protect his heir.
His queen died during the hunt and he searches Annie in the palace’ but she was gone. She ran away. Annie was his servant and he was mesmerized with her desirable beauty and fell deeply in love even it’s forbidden.
“What about their daughter? Did you find her?” He investigated.
His beta Damian shook his head.
“I’m so sorry but they sold her to King Markus of Arcadia Kingdom but that place was invaded by rogues also,” he told the King.
Alpha Theus clenched his fist and gritted his teeth. He will have to find her daughter no matter what. Before he died, he must find the heiress of his packs.
“Call all the zetas to find her! I’m sure she’s just out there. What about I pay a visit to the Valkyrie Kingdom?” He asked Damian.
“I heard it was ruled by King Darius, one of the most terrifying of all Kings!” His beta added but Theus narrowed his eyes.
” Well, I just want to visit him. What if he took my daughter as his slave? What if he’s one of the concubines there? I must check no matter what!” King Theus bravely said.
It’s been twenty years since Annie left him.
“Why sell my daughter? What kind of the mother is she?” the King mumbled and made his way back to his room.
He called all the zetas and his beta to follow him and visit the Valkyrie Kingdom. He was hoping that he will find his long-lost daughter there.

Good for them. They should be punished. I just need a little time to find Ariana’s parents. I just need to ask one request for King Darius. I need him to get my brother out of the dungeon. I was resting in my bed when he arrived. I got up and fix myself to see him.
