“Mom, what are we waiting for? It is almost time. I think we need to start” Shawn asked. He was waiting inside the VIP room for almost an hour now.
The truth is, he was not in the mood because of his dream last night. He dreamed about Luna promising to each other that they will live together until they grow old. He vaguely remembers his dream about getting himself into an accident for saving Luna. Somehow, he really felt that everything about his dream was true.
“We cannot start yet. Maximus and his wife were still not here” Franco said.
“Maxim–” Shawn did not finish his word.
The family was suddenly interrupted by a knock at the door. The door opened and the staff came in.
“Mister and Missis Frost are here”
Shawn’s heart suddenly beat fast after hearing the news.
“Really?” Risa’s excitement filled the whole VIP room. Finally, the most important guest has already arrived at the party. The staff nodded and guided them outside the VIP room.
They all followed the staff and went to the main venue. They saw a lot of media staff and guests blocking the door. They wait for Maximus and his wife to finally walk inside the venue. When the crowd splits in the middle, the figure of a man and woman walk towards the middle of the venue.
The whole Lucas family and Liza dropped their jaw after seeing Maximus and his wife. They cannot believe the person that Maximus married was Luna. The woman who they once belittled and thrown aside was now the wife of Maximus Frost. It is her, Luna Florence. They thought it was only a rumor about them being together.
The attention of the people inside the venue was on them. They looked stunning, especially Luna who was wearing her long back fitted dress. Hugging her sexy body and showing her porcelain skin. The two are indeed compatible and made from heaven.
Maximus was so proud of her wife. Everyone at the party almost forgot about Shawn and Liza’s engagement party because of the two most important guests. Even the Frost family was eyeing the couple.
“Mister Frost, is that really your wife? Are you really showing your wife to us? To the world?” One of the guests approached Maximus who was busy finding his family to join them.
Maximus looked at the guest. He looked intimidating because of his suit and style. Every woman at the party cannot help but admire him. He is so handsome. He made them jealous of Luna. He thought that his wife was so lucky to choose her.
“Yes, she is my one and only wife and I like to announce it to the world,” He said in a serious tone but with a proud smile on his face.
Luna smiled. She was so happy about Maximus announcing to the world that she is his one and only wife. Her heart kept beating fast. She felt butterflies in her stomach. She did not feel worthless.
“Thank you” Luna whispered to her husband’s ear.
“Honey! Tell me this is not real!” Risa gasped after seeing Luna holding Maximus’s hands.
Franco headed towards the Frost Family near their table to confirm about Maximus and Luna. He himself cannot believe what he saw. How come it is Luna? He needs to confirm. Maybe she is just his partner for the night and not his real wife because he knew that Luna was a nurse in their hospital.
Is she the reason why Maximus shows himself complaining about Liza? This is not good. Maximus might become our enemy because of her. Franco thought.
“Alina, is that really the wife of Maximus?” He asked, looking at Alina’s eyes.
Franco saw how Alina formed her lips into a smile. She looked proud at Luna. Everyone’s attention was on Maximus and Luna.
“Yes, Franco. Isn’t she lovely? We really like her” Alina said and sipped her wine. She was looking at her son and his wife that was being surrounded by the media and guests.
Franco cleared his throat and asked the staff to start the party. The party started and followed the schedule. Maximus and Luna walked towards their family and sat with them.
Liza saw how Luna changed. She cannot accept the fact that Luna found a man with wealth, but she did not care about those because what she wanted is Shawn. Only him.
“Everyone! We would like to express our gratitude to our guests, especially to our dearest friends, the Frost family. Thank you so much!” Risa said while smiling. Everyone inside the venue clapped their hands.
Risa tried to pass the microphone to his son, but his attention was not with them. He looked so worried and confused so she tried to pat her son’s shoulder. Shawn turned his head and looked at his mom.
“Are you alright?” Risa asked. Shawn nodded and grabbed the microphone to talk. He passed beside Liza and at that moment Liza noticed that something was different with Shawn.
After the speech of the Lucas family, everyone at the party enjoyed the night including the Frost family who was talking with other guests. Maximus was invited by another businessman to talk about something, so he let Luna take her time with the food that was served at her table.
Luna was enjoying her food when she felt the need to use the restroom, so she stood up and walked towards the restroom. When she was outside the main room someone grabbed her wrist and pulled her outside.
She looked at the person who pulled her outside and she was shocked to see who he is. She stopped and pulled back her hand.
“Shawn?! What are you doing?” She asked, confused.
The man faced her. She froze when she saw his worried face.
What is happening? She thought.
“Luna, listen. I remember everything now. Luna please come back” Shawn held her hands and cupped her cheeks.
Everything was clear now. His dreams were never a dream. It is his memories from the past. Everything is real. He finally remembered her after seeing Maximus and Luna attend the party together.
Luna did not know what to react to. He finally remembered her, but he was too late because she already forgot about her feelings for him. Everything about Shawn is already forgotten.
“Shawn… I am sorry” Luna slowly pushed him away from her.
