Am I qualified for this? I look at the details again and I was correct. Anyone can apply even you’re only a college level.
I quickly took a quick shower and look for my best attire for the interview. I had to be cool in front of the judges. I need to pass this interview or else I’ll be jobless forever.
Seeing my reflection in the mirror, I felt like ten years made me age a lot. Wrinkles on both sides of my eyes and forehead are the witness. I flex my lips from both sides to make a better smile. This is the first time my dimples appeared. It’s been years since I decided to draw a happy face.
I sat and face in the mirror. I took my make-up set and started to shade my pale face. I put a little pink blush-on on my cheeks, a not-so-heavy mascara, a thin eyeliner, and shaping my lips with red lipstick.
Now, I look like an employee. I’m ready to kick someone’s ass in the interview panel.
Before I go, I check my outfit once again. A plain white blouse and black fitted above the knee skirt complete it.
“I’m now ready to rock and roll!” I mumbled while making my way out of the house.
I called for the incoming cab and quickly stepped inside.
“To the Wine Ace Corp please” I give him the direction and I’m very glad the driver knew the place.
“Ah, the new company ma’am? Okay,” he replied after I said yes.

Wine Ace Corp
After ten minutes…
“Miss Lucy Mason?” One of the interviewers called my name.
I’m hoping for the best. I’m praying that what he will tell me is going to change my life.
“Yes, sir?” I quickly replied and stood up for him to acknowledge me.
“You’re hired! Thanks, everyone for coming.” He informed the other applicants who didn’t pass the interview.
I felt like I’m on cloud nine.
“Miss Mason, follow me!” Mr. Ralph Gomez was the one who did the final. l interview. I was surprised to learn that they chose me to be their Ceo’s secretary.
“Yes, sir!” I excitedly walked behind him and make a wide smile on my face. I’m so excited to be part of this company.
We came inside his office and he instructed me on my first day.
“Miss Mason, tomorrow is your first day! Be ready, okay.” Mr. Gomez told me.
“Sure, sir! You won’t regret hiring me!” I happily replied.
We bid goodbyes before I left his office. Because today is my lucky day, I’ll have to treat myself besides I have a new job tomorrow.
While strolling the road, I look up at the sunset and breath in. I feel good about the weather. While on my way to the bus terminal, I noticed a mini bar near the station. I stop by and walked inside.
I was not familiar with this kind of place where you can smell liquor and hear loud sounds of disco and RnB music. I saw a crowd of people who had their agendas. Some were celebrating his birthday, some just came to have a drink, some were devastated because her boyfriend broke up with her and so I just went inside to have fun.
I’ll rate myself among them, maybe I have two reasons for coming to this niche. First, I want to celebrate for giving me my first job after ten years of doing part-time jobs. Second, after being single for ten years.
It’s okay to get drunk. It’s my special day.

Gregory saw Lucy entering the bar. Kent just got home yesterday with his wife Eloisa from abroad.
He called to informed Kent.
“Okay, I’m on my way,” Kent said after cutting his call.
Gregory took a deep breath after leaving the place.
Lucy made a huge mistake in her whole life. She fooled herself that Kent loved her and his wife Eloisa was sick. She can’t explain what happened this morning. She shifted her gaze lazily at the clock that hangs on the hospital wall and the long arrow struck at six in the evening but there’s no sign of Kent visiting her. She got gave birth to their firstborn baby boy but his father didn’t care a single inch.
She can’t give up now. She will fight her claim as the mother of his child. She will do everything to make her child happy.
Lucy POV
The creaking sound of the door distracted my deep thoughts. I saw the nurse carrying my baby. Finally, they brought him to me. He’s crying so loud.
“Mommy Lucy, it’s time to feed your baby Austin.” She said and put my baby in my arms.
Tears suddenly rolled down my pale cheeks. To cling my son in my arms made me feel satisfied. He means a lot to me. He’s my little angel who came down to see how beautiful the world is. I will let him see the good side of the world and I will protect him from the evil people who wanted to hurt us.
