“I am very hungry. I’ll cook breakfast.” With that, Augustus stepped into the kitchen. The kitchen was small and Lisa could felt his heat coming towards her.
“I’ll cook you go and wait.” She immediately stopped him.
“Okay, Do you need any help?” He asked leaning on the counter and watching her carefully. Her nipples were visible through her dress and he could clearly see the red marks on her neck made by him. He smiled proudly.
Lisa saw his gaze on her and felt very uncomfortable, she shook her head and quickly went into the bedroom and wore a night robe on her dress, wrapped it tightly around her waist. When she went out, Augustus was calmly sitting on the sofa and flipping through TV channels.
Lisa quickly started making breakfast. Two plates were placed on the table of eggs and sausages with steamed bun, warm milk and tea cakes.
Lisa called Augustus and he came over to eat. She had a small table with two chairs, they both sat opposite each other and started eating.
Lisa kept glancing on him, from time to time but he didn’t utter a single word. He looked so calm and relax like he is at his own house.
Many times Lisa tried to open her mouth but when she saw his cold and calmed face, she swallowed her words back.
After they both finished eating, Lisa stood up to take the plates, just then Augustus finally spoke “Sit” he commanded.
Lisa was a bit terrified by his tone but still she managed to sit down calmly.
“Marry me.” Augustus said out of nowhere.
“What?” Lisa gasped shockingly, but Augustus eyes were firm and calmed looking at her reaction. Augustus already knew that what happened last night, she was not going to accept it at all. That’s the reason why he was so calm because he was already expecting her to act weird and she did as expected.
Last night, Augustus was lost in deep thoughts, he kept thinking of a way to keep her by his side but couldn’t figure out of anything and then he saw a family picture hanging on the wall. An idea came into his mind.
At this moment, he is not in the sense of knowing right or wrong. He just knows one thing that he badly wants her in his life, by hook or by crook.
“What happened last night…” Lisa began nervously but Augustus snapped. “It wasn’t about last night. Damn it..!”
“But I am a widow.” Lisa made an excuse.
“Who cares? If you marry me I’ll promise you you’ll get your son’s custody as soon as possible.”
“But” Lisa tried to argue.
“Say yes.” Augustus said with determination.
Lisa was dumbfounded. Her mind was completely blank of what to say next. She couldn’t figure out why Augustus suddenly wanted to marry her?
Augustus cleared his throat and said, “So, here’s the deal, you marry me and I’ll fixed deposit two million lira In your account for Simon. You could win the case easily with it.” He explained.
“But why marriage?” Lisa asked puzzled.
“It’s because of your own good. Once you showed the FD Ted would definitely raise the question from where did you get that money? He can even try to defame your character. Once you told everyone you’re married no one would dare to ask you such thing.”
Lisa listened to him patiently. Indeed, he was right. Ted can scoop to any level to snatch Simon away from her. But Marriage..! She was still not sure Augustus had a fiancé, how could she marry him when she is still there.
Augustus seems to see through her worries So next moment he said, “This marriage is just temporary. I won’t make it public and you either don’t move in with me.” He paused and looked at her little nervous face and continued, “Well, but I want you to stay with me on Weekends as I am a man so I have my needs. You fulfill mine and I fulfill yours. No strings attached.”
After hearing him, Lisa felt very embarrassed. How could this man talk about these shameful things so easily. Needs? What does he mean by that? Why can’t he go to his fiancé for his needs rather than making a deal with her so shamelessly.
Lisa shook her head and said angrily, “Never..! I am never doing something like this. I am poor Mr. Augustus that doesn’t mean that I am going to jump into your bed for money. If you have physical needs, go and find your fiancé why me?” She completely yelled at him while saying the last two words.
“Because I want you Lisa…!” Augustus stood up angrily and held her arm tightly.
“Ahh.” Lisa exclaimed.
“Listen to me carefully, you are the one who satisfied me and whom I want. Once I will marry you I won’t touch you except weekends and that will be my right as your husband.” He let her go and turned to get his jacket.
Lisa looked at his back and rubbed her arm lightly, her body was trembling slightly seeing his angry look.
“I have given you a chance to get your son back. Now it’s up to you, you choose your son or your self esteem. I’ll wait for your answer think about it carefully.” Augustus said those words and left.
Lisa was still shocked about his deal and she couldn’t believe that he is very serious about it. While she was on daze, her cell phone rang. She found it in her purse and picked it up, “Hello.!”
“Happy New Year.” It was Sasha.
“Thanks.” Lisa replied slowly.
“What’s wrong? You sound no good. What is it? Is it related to Simon’s custody?” Sasha asked worriedly.
Lisa sighed and told Sasha everything that happened in the court.
Sasha cursed Ted, “Bastard, one day he will be strike by lightning, you’ll see Lisa.”
“Hmm”
“Lisa, I can mortgage my home for loan but we can get only one million with it. We have to think of something for another million.”
“No.. no Sasha. I will manage. You don’t need to worry I am also thinking of a way.” Lisa said to her.
“I think you should find a rich man and marry him. Then only we can get money. For me only this is the suitable way to get Simon back otherwise I don’t see any hope Lisa.” Sasha said in a serious tone.
“Sasha ..!” Lisa yelled at her.
“What? Face the reality Lisa. You want to marry some good man or some pervert like Ted? Hmmm?” Sasha asked. Her words were displeasing to her ears but it was indeed the truth.
“Why do I have to marry someone.” Lisa asked irritatingly.
“Are you suggesting to become some one’s mistress? Hahahah.” Sasha joked.
However Lisa was not in the mood of joking she directly snapped at her “Shut up”
“Oh… oh… Don’t get mad. Calm down let’s meet and then talk about it.” Sasha offered.
“No, not today.” Lisa refused her offer.
Sasha sighed “Okay as you say.”
“Bye Sasha”
“Bye Lisa. And don’t worry everything will be fine.” Sasha comforted her.
After the call was ended, Lisa saw two messages on her mobile, one from her brother Daniel and one from Cristian both wishing her New year. Lisa replied to both of them and than sat on the sofa lazily. What Sasha told her now, would she think about it? Augustus told her he won’t touch her and she only had to see him for two days a week. Just after a month she would be able to get her son’s custody back and then she’ll divorce Augustus and go to some other place with her son.
At least, for two months she had to tolerate and kept this act Of temporary marriage. If she gets a choice between Ted and Augustus she would definitely choose Augustus with no doubt.
She finally stood up from the sofa and took shower, while dressing up she saw the marks on her neck and blushed by remembering last night. Since when did she became like this? It’s all because of Augustus..! Damn teasing man.. she cursed him and put on her clothes.
After cleaning her house and making dinner. She watched some tv and before going to bed she decided to put all Tom’s belongings in a box as she had finally decided to accept Augustus’s offer.
She took a box and put all his photo frames, his shirts and his gifts given to her in it and wrapped it tightly with a tape and wrote “Tom” on it.
Eventually, she had decided to put this box in donation but somehow she could not find the courage to do it. She sighed heavily and kept the box in her closet carefully.
Before sleeping, she sent a text message to Augustus, “I agreed to accept your deal.”
