Lisa went back to her home, feeling disheartened. She wanted to make this Christmas the best day of her life, but it turned out to be the worst day of her life.
She took off her clothes and went straight to the bathroom to shower. She was very much exhausted. The warm water calmed her down but she still kept crying while thinking of Augustus and his harsh words.
She kept crying until her eyes got dried. After shower, she lied down on her bed with Tom’s shirt wrapped around her. But still her heart couldn’t feel at ease. After a long time, she finally fell asleep.

In The Apartment
As soon as Augustus walked into his home. He threw everything in his home in frustration. Lester knew his Boss was not in his senses, so he followed him today into the apartment.
As expected, he started breaking everything in the house, as soon as he entered. Maybe he is just trying to vent his anger. Lester thought and didn’t stop him, he just kept looking at him silently.
After throwing everything on the floor. Augustus shouted aloud and fell on the ground on his knees. His shout showed his anger and loneliness too.
Lester saw his lonely figure but he couldn’t do anything to calm him except letting him do what he wanted to do now. Even if it’s breaking his own home or shouting like a lunatic. He was totally helpless infront of his Boss.
“Lisa….. Lisa….. Lisa…..” Augustus called her name in pain and punched his fist hard on the floor. He then got up and ordered, “Bring me my pills, Lester.”
“Boss… I …” Lester hesitated.
“Now..!” Augustus shouted furiously and scared Lester at the moment.
Lester nodded and went outside. Half an hour later, Lester came back and saw Augustus sitting in the messy living room and drinking wine. Lester walked towards him and handed him the medicine. Augustus took it and stumbling he went straight to his bedroom without saying a word.
Lester looked at his lonely figure and felt disappointed. One again, His Boss failed to get himself out of this lonely life. He shook his head and cleaned the mess. Then, he decided to sleep here for the time being. He brought one blanket from the guest room and slept on the sofa.

“Lisa …. Why ?…. Why did you lie?” Augustus was sitting on the ground, his head down looking at his folding fingers. It’s all dark around him. Lisa walked towards him but couldn’t reached him. “Augustus” she called his name. Augustus looked up, there was pain in his deep blue eyes, his face looked sad. “Why did you lie? Why did you give me hope.?” His voice echoed in the empty place.
“No…. I didn’t lie.. No… You misunderstood.” Lisa shouted while catching him but soon his lonely figure vanished in the darkness. Lisa kept shouting “Augustus… Augustus… No…”
Lisa woke up from her dream. There was sweat all over her body and she was shaking. She took some deep breaths and calmed herself down. “It was just a dream.”
Lisa got up from the bed and put Tom’s shirt inside the closet. She then looked at the watch, it was already past three “o” clock. She frowned, she had slept too much today.
Suddenly, her stomach growled. She went straight to the kitchen to make something for herself to eat. While eating instant noodles, she thought of her dream and Augustus’s sad blue eyes came infront of her. He was hurt because he misunderstood her. She should once try to explain him everything. He was just being judgemental. She thought to herself.
After eating, she took shower, dressed up and decided to go to explain Augustus everything for one time. Before going out, she called Anna to ask about Augustus but unfortunately he wasn’t at Hotel at all.
Lisa felt disappointed, she looked at her cell phone in daze. She wanted to call Augustus but she wasn’t sure if he would answer her call or not?
Just then, her mobile phone rang and she saw Bella’s name on it. She felt a hope, Bella is Augustus’s friend. She can tell her where he is, at last she will head to his home to meet him.
With that thought, she picked up the call “Hello”
“Hello Lisa..! Where is Augustus? I have been calling him for a long time. He’s not answering.” Bella said in one breath. Her tone was anxious.
“I don’t know.” Lisa bit her lip and replied honestly. “Have you checked his home?” She suddenly asked Bella.
“I did. No one is responding.” Bella replied annoyingly.
“Ohhh..” Lisa felt distressed.
“Hey Lisa..! Come over here. I am at Glass Hostaria. We need to talk.” Bella said hurriedly and hung up the call.
Lisa felt weird but still she went out to see her.

At The Restaurant
Bella was slowly sipping wine, lost in her thoughts when Lisa saw her.
While seeing Lisa, Bella came back to her senses and waved at her. Lisa sat opposite her. Bella offered her wine but Lisa refused politely.
“So, what’s going on?” Bella looked at Lisa and asked straightly.
“Umm…. What do you mean?” Lisa was confused.
“You and Augustus?” Bella asked.
“Nothing… it’s nothing.” Lisa tried to refuse.
“Really?” Bella looked at her suspiciously. She tried to look through her but she didn’t get anything except her pale face and dark circles under her eyes. She knew something was wrong.
Yesterday, when she called Augustus for the Christmas. He told her, he was going to celebrate it with Lisa first time and he was very excited but today he didn’t give her any response and by the looks of Lisa one can tell something disaster had happened yesterday. But what?
Bella’s stare made Lisa uncomfortable, she stood up and said, “I am going to use restroom.” She turned and left Bella alone.
Instead of going to the restroom. Lisa went to the terrace for some fresh air. For her surprise, a man was already standing near the railing, wearing black jeans and brown colored sweat shirt, holding a wine glass.
“Augustus” Lisa said surprisingly.
Augustus turned around. His eyes were cold and there was no expression on his face. Lisa walked towards him slowly step by step. “Augustus, are you fine?” She asked worriedly.
“Fine.!” Augustus sneered and threw the glass on the floor.
SHATTER..
Lisa’s body froze. She looked at Augustus terrified. “Stop it, Augustus.” She said in a sad voice.
Augustus sneered at her and turned around. He felt disgusted looking at her face. Lisa again approached him and said carefully, “Augustus what happened at the school party, it wasn’t an act. And what happened at the bar was unfortunately ….” she touched his arm but Augustus pushed her hard. She didn’t expect him to push that hard. She was caught off guard and fell heavily on the ground.
“Ahhh..!” Lisa let out a sharp cry.
Augustus turned in panic he didn’t mean to push her that hard. He looked at her face and felt guilty.
“What the hell? Are you okay? Lisa.” Bella’s sharp voice came from the door. She ran over to pick Lisa and glared at Augustus angrily.
“I am fine.” Lisa said lightly.
“Since when did you start treating woman like this?” Bella turned to Augustus and questioned him angrily.
Lisa held Bella’s hand. “I slipped. It’s not his fault.” She said while faking a smile to hide her pain.
“Fault..! I have clearly seen him pushed you.” Bella said pointing at Augustus.
“Huh… once a liar always a liar.” Augustus sneered and left with a serious face. He was angry that she lied, she slipped.
Bella looked at Augustus’s back in disbelief. “I have never seen him like this.” Bella exclaimed. She held Lisa’s hand and supported her to stand. “Do you want to see a doctor?” She asked in concern.
“No, Bella I am fine.” She turned down her offer.
“I’ll send you back home, then.” Bella said while walking towards the gate. Lisa thanked her and went with her in her car. Lisa saw the design file in her hand and asked her, pointing at it. “This file?”
“Ahh… when I was in the restaurant. Augustus called he surely has seen us and asked about you..” she paused, “Well, I need his signature so I went on the terrace but unexpectedly what I saw. I am in no mood to talk to him.” She said sadly.
“I’ll do it.” Lisa said immediately.
“What?” Are you sure?” Bella asked seriously.
“Yes, I am sure. He won’t hurt me.” Lisa said confidently.
“Okay, then” Bella handed her the file happily. “Augustus is not a bad person, Lisa he just hate lies.” Bella said after a long while and sighed. Lisa kept quiet and Bella either didn’t speak further.
Bella dropped Lisa and went away. Lisa rubbed her knees lightly and frowned slightly in pain, then she walked the stairs with difficulty.
