Augustus than thought of something, “Giovanna can you go first, I need to handle somethings.” He turned to Giovanna and said in a low voice.
Giovanna was not interested in these school meetings, she doesn’t like kids at all. Just because her aunt, Rheena Carlos forced her to attend the meeting with Augustus to get close to him so she couldn’t refuse her at all.
Giovanna’s eyes sparkled and she nodded, “Okay”
Augustus called Lester to drop Giovanna safely at home. Giovanna felt touched by his concern but she didn’t know that it was Rheena Carlos’s strict instructions given to Augustus to never left her alone just the last time he did.
Giovanna stood up, hugged him and left gladly. Augustus then went out to search for Lisa.
Lisa came to her son’s class and talked with her teacher about Simon. Teacher praised Simon a lot. Lisa felt extremely happy and proud of her son.
Since, he had grown up, he had never disobeyed his mother and never embarrassed her either. He was always an obedient, good son. After bidding goodbye to teacher. She went out happily raising her chin high.
As she reached at corridor, Simon was shouting and running towards her, “Mommy”
Lisa crouched down, hugged him and kissed on his forehead. She said happily, “You make your mommy proud, today.”
Simon asked innocently, “How?”
“Well, your teacher praised you today. You are getting better now Champ.” Lisa said messing his hair.
While both mother and son were busy chatting, someone called Lisa in a surprised tone. Lisa stood up and turned. Someone pinched her arm hard.
“Oww… Owww… it hurts, Sasha.” She exclaimed.
“Good..! You deserve it.” Sasha replied raising her chin high. Then she saw Simon beside her and gave him a big chocolate saying, “Here it is, as I promised. Your annual report is very good Simon keep it up.!”
Simon took chocolate and said cheerfully, “Thank you, Miss Sasha. I’ll share my chocolate with my friends.” With that saying, he turned around and ran the opposite side. Lisa shouted, “Where are you going.?”
“I am going to find my friends.” Simon said while running.
Lisa smiled at his back feeling relaxed.
“He has improved. It’s because of his new friends too.” Sasha said in a low voice.
“Hmmm.. by the way what did you promise him.?” Lisa asked her.
“Well, After Tom was gone. Simon didn’t focus on his study nor did he had any friend to talk. So I promised him that if he pass with flying colors I will buy him a big chocolate. He got excited by it and Thanks to his two new friends. They became friends on the right time.” Sasha explained.
Lisa felt very sad after hearing her son’s condition back then. At that time, she kept herself locked and didn’t give attention to her son. It was an unexpected and extremely difficult time of her life.
Lisa sighed and said guiltily, “That time I was so much in Tom’s memories that I couldn’t even see my son.”
Listening to her, Sasha held her arm tightly and said, “Hey Lisa, it was nobody’s fault. It was just fate. Don’t think about past, focus on your future. Forget everything.” She consoled her.
Lisa hugged her and said, “Thank you for taking care of Simon, I really owe you, Sasha.”
“Hey,, stop being dramatic. Tell me about your job. In all this time, you didn’t get a chance to contact me once, hmmm?” Sasha pouted and complained her breaking the hug.
Lisa looked down guiltily and said, “I have been promoted by my new boss, now I am the New General Manager.”
“What? Really?” She exhaled excitedly.
Lisa nodded smilingly.
“Ohh… in that case, I want a treat.” Sasha demanded gladly.
Lisa approved it instantly “Ofcourse”
“Auntie.!” A girl’s voice and footsteps were heard. Lisa and Sasha looked at the corridor and saw Simon and Maria running towards them holding each other’s hands.
“Aunty.. Miss Sasha.” Maria greeted both.
“Looks like someone had fun eating chocolate. Hmm?” Lisa squatted down and cleaned Maria’s face. She doesn’t know why but she always felt something warm for her just like she’s her own child.
“She ate like a monster, Mommy that’s why.” Simon poked her head and teased.
“He always annoy me, Aunty.” Maria complained.
“Simon.. she is your friend. You should always support her instead of making fun of her.. okay?” Lisa scolded Simon lightly.
By seeing Simon scolded, Maria smiled and said to Lisa, “Auntie, you’re so nice. I wish I could have a mom like you.”
Lisa got confused by her words and asked hesitantly, “You… you don’t have a mom.?”
“No” Maria shook her head.
“Ohh” Lisa patted her forehead feeling pity than looked at Sasha. Sasha knew she had to help her in this situation so she said, “Maria, don’t be sad. Even if you don’t have a mother, you have got a great father. Where is he by the way.?”
Maria looked up and said, “Oh.. Daddy..! He was behind me.” She turned around and shouted, “Daddy.. Daddy.. I’m here.”
A tall figure came from the corridor.
“Here he is” Maria waved at him.
Lisa was shocked looking at the figure and got up abruptly. Sasha whispered in her ear, “Isn’t he handsome.?”
Lisa frowned and looked at her.
“Daddy, she is the Auntie who helped me at the park. We had so much fun that day.” Maria told him happily.
Augustus nodded and stretched his hand, “Well, Thank you Lisa.”
“Lisa? Do you both know each other.?” Sasha asked surprisingly.
Lisa hesitated, “He is…”
“Friends. We both are friends.” Augustus said still keeping his hand in the air.
Lisa took it and shook, but instead of letting her go. He held her hand more tightly. Lisa felt embarrassed and tried to pull it but he gripped more tightly than before crushing her fingers.
“Friends? Since when?” Sasha looked at Augustus than Lisa suspiciously.
“Recently, I’ll explain it to you later.” Lisa said in a low voice.
“Ms. Sasha..! Please get back to your class immediately.” Principal announced on speaker.
Sasha got panicked and said hurriedly. “I should leave, first.”
Augustus let go Lisa’s hand. She hugged Sasha. “I’ll wait for explanation.” Sasha whispered in her ear, winked at her then turned around to go back to the class.
After Sasha left, August and Lisa stared at each other. Maria who was standing beside her father, holding his hand, turned to Simon and said thoughtfully, “Simon, your mom is now my Father’s friend too. First Tony’s uncle and now my daddy. Yeah.. she has two…”
“Three. It’s three Maria. What about Uncle Ted, he is the closest of all. Right mommy?” Simon innocently looked at Lisa.
Lisa was out of words so she just nodded her head.
Augustus who was listening to the kid’s silly discussion, became very furious and flared at Lisa deadly. When that Bastard drugged her, he was the one who saved her, where were those two so called friends..? Huh?
Even when he asked for being friends she hesitated and then accepted it. After that, she started ignoring him completely even for the approval design she would send her assistant. Not even bother to come by herself..!
This woman is really trying to test my patience. Augustus thought while glaring at her.
“Mommy..! Where is Uncle Ted? He told me last time that he would come with you in the Parent’s meeting. Where is he.?” Simon asked restlessly.
“Simon, I told you before your uncle has a family to take care of. Don’t think about him too much.” Lisa gently explained to Simon.
After what Ted did to her. She would never want to see his face nor Does she want her son to get attached with him.
“I remember Mommy,” Simon said disappointedly.
Lisa felt like someone has squeezed her heart, she felt so much pain by looking his sad face, why that Bastard always manipulates her son?
“Simon.! My father had bought me jig-saw. Want to join me to help.?” Just when mother and son both were sad Maria spoke suddenly with a giant smile on her face.
“That’s boring.” Simon snorted.
“But I need help.” Maria retorted folding her arms.
“Simon..!” Lisa warned him and he immediately nodded “okay”
After that Maria took Simon’s hand and said, “Bye Daddy, I am going to play. Bye Auntie I love you.” She ran with Simon.
Lisa waved her hand at both and shouted, “I love you, too.”
When she looked around Augustus had already gone. She breathed a sigh of relief and went out of the school.
