Adaline
With a smile still tugging at the corners of my lips, I went downstairs.
I was happy that Zach invited me to a date. I was excited. A date. I’ve never been on a real date. That one with Tyler wasn’t a date. They weren’t dates. They were games played by him, me being only his character.
So, I couldn’t tell Zach a ‘yes’ just yet. I need to think about this date. How will occur, but more importantly what type of guy is Zach.
I can’t do the same mistake over and over again, yet it seems that this is the only thing I do.
Look at me, I’m in a cottage, in the woods, with Tyler and Ayato, two players. Two best friends.
Thinking of this, if Ayato and Tyler are in fact best friends, why didn’t Ayato ask me about my relationship with Tyler? Does he not know?
Easing the furrow between my eyebrows, I came to the conclusion that that was not my business. Better if Ayato doesn’t know about that.
As I was ready to go down the stairs, a figure leaning against the wall at the middle of the stairs, made me stop dead in my tracks.
The figure had its arms crossed over his chest, and he was looking down.
As if he felt my presence, he raised up his head and looked in my eyes, a blank expression in his eyes.
I blinked a few times, my lips parting slightly in surprise.
I shook my head mentally, gather all the confidence that is in me, and began to climb down the stairs.
I walked past him, but didn’t have the time to fist bump the air for my courage because his hand stuck out and caught my wrist.
He made me turn around , careful not to make me fall. He was looking down, his hair disheveled like he ran his hand through it a lot of times.
I waited a few seconds for him to say something. Nothing came out. I thought that he caught my wrist only to annoy me, but the expression on his face told me otherwise. His face was serious, not mischievous or playful. This was not a very popular side of him, and I didn’t like it, to be honest.
He licked his lips.
“Did you say yes?” He asked in a whisper, almost vulnerable as if he could break down at any moment.
I blinked a few times in surprise, not understanding his question.
“Huh?” Was the only thing I could manage to say. He sighed shortly in annoyance.
“Did you say yes to Zach?”
Finally, getting the question straight in my head, I responded.
“Aah… Oh… Uh… Umm…” I said the words one after another. I gulped, getting really nervous.
I don’t even know for what I was even nervous. It’s like I was the daughter, and he was my dad asking if I had a crush on a boy.
He raised his eyes to meet mine. The blank look in his eyes, with a small spark of hope in them, were killing me. It’s like he wanted me to say that I didn’t want to go.
Instead of answering him, I addressed him a question of my own.
“How do you know that Zach invited me to a date?”
His answer came pretty fast. I thought that he would put up a fight saying that he asked something first. No such a thing as that. It scared me.
“I was passing by, and heard you talk with him by mistake.”
I nod my head, biting my lip in thought.
Should I lie to him that I said yes or not?
Should I tell him the truth or not?
Should I say that this is not his business or not?
Should I or should I not?
Hmm… hard questions, hard answers.
I guess a little lie won’t hurt, right?
“I said yes.”
His eyes were boring into mine, searching. I pursed my lips and restrained myself from fidgeting with my fingers.
Wait, my other hand’s wrist is still in his hand.
I glanced towards it and my heartbeat quickened its pace. Oh God…
“You’re lying,” His voice made me snap my eyes to his own one. He seemed to see what I was glancing at, and dropped the hold on my wrist. Instead, he put his hands in his jean pockets.
My arms were just staying limp at my side. I was biting the inside of my cheek to restrain myself to say the truth.
“I’m not lying,” I shrugged, trying to seem unfazed by the serious look he was giving.
“I heard you say that you’re going to think about it.”
So he did hear all the conversation me and Zach had.
I crossed my arms over my chest, and gave him a nasty look.
“Then why did you even ask me what did I say to him in the first place?”
He shrugged. “I wanted to know what you’ll say.”
He pushed himself off of the wall, and came very close to me. I stood my grounds. I didn’t even move a muscle. I wanted to show him that I was strong, even if my poor heart was beating with two hundred beats per minute. Haha, just kidding… actually, not…
His hot breath fanned against my ear, making me almost shiver from how good it felt.
“Your game won’t hold too much, be sure of that. Games are supposed to be played, and I really like games. Remember that.”
With that, he left me standing dumbfounded , in the middle of the stairs.
Game?
What game?
I went downstairs with a frown on my face. So ridiculous. I’ve left with a smile and I’m coming with a frown.
I stopped immediately as I entered the living room.
Tyler and Tyron were sitting on a couch, and Paula and Juliet on the other.
Now that I think of it, I haven’t seen Juliet here before. She must have been somewhere else.
Let’s think of the real problem here.
Tyler was stealing curious glances at me, Tyron kept throwing flirty winks at me and Paula and Juliet were shooting daggers at me.
What’s Juliet problem? I understand that Paula is jealous over the fact that Ayato doesn’t give her attention, and that she thinks he only gives me attention, but seriously now, Juliet? What’s her problem?
I shook my head mentally, and went to the kitchen.
I drank some water, then the rumbling of my stomach stopped me.
Damn, I didn’t eat anything in the morning.
“Are you hungry?” A voice asked, startling me. I jumped, turning around.
“Good God, you scared me,” I glared at Tyler, turning around again, not facing him.
He chuckled. “The food is in the microwave. Jemima left it there.”
My heart did a flutter at that. Did I tell you that I love my sister?
Although, his next words made my heart drop. “Ayato told her to do that.”
“Oh,” I muttered. “Say to them that I said thank you.”
I went to the microwave and opened it. The food was still warm so I didn’t need to start the microwave, and wait for the food to warm up.
It’s very surprising how a microwave is here, in the middle of nowhere.
I took the food from the microwave and put it on the table. I began to dig in, ignoring Tyler’s presence.
“We’re going to leave for the beach in thirty minutes so you better hurry up. Ayato’s parents are already there,” He left after that being said. I ate in a hurry , and then went upstairs to unlock the room where Jem and Finnegan were.
To my surprise, the door was already unlocked, a note attached on it. How could I not see it before?
I took it, and began to read:
Paula let us out. Thank you for locking me and Finn here. On a hand, I want to kill you for doing that, but on the other, me and Finn kissed! Yes, he apologized to me through a kiss! How cute is that?! He turned red after that. Hehe, I’m gonna go now…
P. S. Your swimsuit is in your bedroom.
P. P. S. I know that you slept with Ayato.
P. P. P. S NOT IN THAT WAY!
P. P. P. P. S Them feelz r so hard rn! I cn’t evn brthe! #Ayaline4evah
Love ya , Addy
~ ❤ Jemmy
I shook my head , as I was reading the note.
She’s such a kid.
I went to my bedroom , which is gonna be only mine from now on, and looked on the bed.
There stood a black two pieces swimsuit. Too much skin showing in that swimsuit!
What caught my attention , was the yellow note on the black swimsuit.
Furrowing my eyebrows, I went to my bed, and took the note.
For Ayato. 😉
~Jemmy
I ripped the paper, and put the pieces on the nightstand beside my bed.
Did I say that I hate her? Well, I really do.

The trees were passing by such a speed, that I was going to puke any moment from now.
“Slow down a bit, will ya?!” Tyler screamed at Ayato who was trying to impress us with the way he can speed up th-
Oh God, I’m gonna puke…
“Ayato! Slow down! Adaline’s gonna puke!” Tyler squealed, pointing to me in the back.
“Hey! Not in my car!” Ayato suddenly panicked, looking at me through the rearview mirror.
I gave him an incredulous look, and kicked the back of his chair.
“Hey! Don’t harm the driver!”
“DRIVER?! SLOW THE FUCK DOWN IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE HIT AGAIN, YOU IDIOT! YOU’RE GONNA KILL US ALL! ARE YOU FUCKING CRA- Oh my God…” I started yelling at him, but a sudden dizziness clouded my head making me stop, and put a hand over my forehead.
“Geez! Okay, okay! I’ll stop! Damn,” Ayato rolled his eyes.
“Thank you,” I muttered out sarcastically.
As I am trying to recover, I’m going to explain everything. Me, Ayato, Tyler, Jemima and Finnegan are in a car.
Zach, Noah, Tyron, Paula, Laila and Juliet are in the other car.
Tyler and Ayato are in the front, while me, Jem and Finnegan are in the back. Ayato is right in front of me, while Tyler is right in front of Finnegan. Jemima is in the middle.
Until now, Jemima and Finnegan were all lovey-dovey, not being aware of Ayato’s psychotic driving manners. When I began screaming, they snapped back to reality.
Ending the revision of scenes in the past three minutes, we arrived at the beach without me ruining the beautiful interior of Ayato’s car.
As I went outside, the beachy air hit me like a ton of gold made bricks.
Bitch please, I’m not gonna get hit in the face by just some normal bricks.
Lucky Ayato that his birthday happened to be just in a warm week. A week just good for a beach trip.
I will try to enjoy this mini-holiday as much as I can. And I also pray to God that nothing bad or embarrassing will happen.
“Hey! Cherry!” Unknowingly, I turned around at the sound of his ‘nickname’ for me.
He was flashing me a big smirk, that only mischief was screaming.
“What do you wait?! Take off your clothes, and let’s get into the water!”
I widened my eyes, and shook my head at an alarming speed.
“No? Do you want me to come and undress you myself?!” He shouted, clearly making fun of me.
A blush crept its way slowly on my cheeks, making the son of the Devil himself laugh at my embarrassment.
“Oh, Cherry. Well, if you don’t want me to help you undress, I’ll let you do that yourself,” He gave me a boyish side smile, and turned around to face the beach. He took his T-shirt down, slowly, making it harder for me to not look.
The way his muscles were moving, and the way he took his T-shirt down slowly were slowly killing me.
I didn’t know that being a teenager made your hormones go crazy in such a crazy way.
I feel like fainting.

Oh my God…
My eyes seemed to have a mind of their own because they went down, towards his V-line.
Oh God…
I’m dead.
I’m officially and utterly dead.
That’s it.
Goodbye cruel world. I’m dead.
“You know… You can come closer and admire my body. No need for such a distance,” He said nonchalantly, a smirk attached in the tone of his voice.
My blush intensified. My face was burning like it was on fire.
The others were already in the water, so it was good they didn’t hear our conversation.
Ayato’s eyes were on me, making me squirm under his gaze.
“I need to go to the toilet!” I exclaimed suddenly, his playful and cocky look directed towards me, too much for me to handle.
I went to the right to God knows where at, until he screamed after me.
“The toilet is that way!” He pointed towards the left.
“Right,” I muttered and hurried towards the left, his laugh following after me.
