Adaline
The night started with my lovely sister bursting in my room, scaring the living lights out of me and with her sweet ass voice.
“I saw how you looked at Ayato and Samantha and how your mind was elsewhere. In the clouds maybe, I don’t know , but you need to spill all the things that have been on your mind lately.” She opened the lights and I let out a yelp from the light that burned my eyes.
“No!” I exclaimed, putting more emphasis than I should on ‘o’ .”It burns!” The same I did with ‘u’.
I put my hands on my face, and rolled over on my belly so I could bury my face in my pillow to stop the burning feeling in my eyes that the light was creating. Why does it have to be me all the time?!
I’m a little bit dramatic when I’m sleepy. Stick with that or leave me alone!
I told you that I’m dramatic when sleepy.
I heard a click , then Jemima’s sweet ass voice.
“Turn around.” Command was dripping from her voice. Oh yeah, guess what! I’m not the one to be commanded! Nu-uh!
“Addy, I swear to God , if you don’t turn around…” She trailed off. I turned my head a little bit to the side so I could see her, relieved that the light was turned off. I could only see a dark figure in front of my bed , nothing else.
I suppose that that was my sister…
Or… or a rapist who stole my sister’s voice.
I widened my eyes and scoot further into my bed. My heartbeat began to pick up. I saw the rapist tilt his -or her , I don’t know- head to the side.
“What the fuck , Addy? What’s wrong?” The rapist took a step closer to my bed. I stood up on my bed , and pushed my back into the wall behind me. Okay, I think that now I’m fully awake.
The rapist took a turn , so the bed wasn’t in the way, and came more closer to me. I gulped and raised my hand to try and stop the rapist, my heart beating faster than ever.
“Stay away from me, you rapist!” I shouted, clutching tightly the sheets at my chest. The rapist stopped and then face-palmed. After a few seconds of silence, the rapist bursted out laughing. Why is he -or she- laughing?
“Oh my God, Addy! You really thought I was a-” And that’s when the rapist couldn’t talk anymore because of how much he -or she- was laughing. I narrowed my eyes at him -or her- and crossed my arms over my chest.
As the rapist was laughing , he -or she… you know what?! Fuck it, is a he- opened the lights. That’s when I saw my sister laughing her ass off. She wasn’t even laughing anymore. Like, she was trying to breath while one of her hands were on her chest. She began to gasp for air and fell to the ground.
I got scared for nothing. It was just my sister.
I rolled my eyes and laid back down on the bed.
After a few minutes , she calmed herself, got up and came to my bed. She sat on it.
It didn’t took long until she began to laugh again. I began to feel hot, anger rising within me. I sat up on the bed , and slapped the back of her head. She stopped and began to rub her head.
“What was that for?!” She whined while glaring and pouting at me like a five year old would do. I smiled sweetly at her.
“For laughing at me.” I snarled at her. She rolled her eyes , still rubbing the spot where I hit her. “Anyway, why are you here and why did you wake me up at-” I stopped to look at the clock. When I saw what time is it , my eyes popped out of my sockets. “Almost two fucking o’clock in the morning?!” I turned to her, my skin feeling hot because of the anger she was giving me. It must be and the late hour for which my skin was hot, but the main reason was the anger that flowed in my veins.
Jemima let out an exasperated sigh and shook her head. I raised my eyebrows at her and waited to see what she has to say.
“I know that something happened to you, so I want to know what happened.” Hearing these words , everything that happened to me came crashing back upon me. The things with Ayato, Tyler, Paula and again Tyler, Ayato and , surprisingly, Samantha , my cousin.
Well, let’s just say that the thoughts gave me a headache , as they hit me like a brick. Seriously, is like I came back from a hung over or whatever.
I raised my eyebrows higher on my forehead , and pushed my chin deeper into my neck , giving Jem an “are-you-serious?” look.
“What?” She innocently asked , like she didn’t woke me up in the middle of the night.
“I ain’t gonna have a girl talk with you at this late hour, missy! So you shall better go and sleep , ‘cuz you ain’t gettin’ no gossip.” I waved my index finger in front of her face , moving my body without knowing. Jemima furrowed her eyebrows and pouted child-like. I rolled my eyes and laid back on my bed.
Jemima groaned, probably waiting for me to say something like “Okay, I’ll tell you…” . Well, guess what , sis. I ain’t gonna tell you that any time soon.
“But we are not making a girl talk! We are making a sister talk…” Hope was lacing Jemima’s voice right now , but I didn’t fell in her trap. The bed moved as she got closer to me , I suppose. I raised my hand and waved my finger to the left and to the right.
“You are no fun!” I looked at an over annoyed , crossed arms Jemima who stomped out of my room , like an angry bull running towards the colour red. Although, bulls don’t have anything towards the colour red. The matadors who are waving the red flag are pissing the bulls off. And that , ladies and gentlemen, was the fun fact for today.
I rolled my eyes and laid my head on my pillow. I closed my eyes , only to open them again because she forgot to close the light on her way out. I rolled on my back to see that she forgot to close the door too.
“Are you fucking kidding me, Jemima?!” I said to no one in particular. I got myself up , which was pretty hard may I say, and went to close the door and the light. I firstly closed the door, not before peeking into the dark hallway of my haunted-like house, and then the light.
On my way to bed I hit my foot pinkie into God knows what and I almost tripped over something , but , luckily, I made it to my bed in one piece.
I threw the covers over me , and I didn’t even waste a second until sleep overtake me.
