I Desperately Want You
XANDRY
“No, you’re lying!” Blaine exclaimed, then chuckled sarcastically.
I carefully closed the door behind me, and they haven’t noticed I got in. I shifted my gaze between Blaine and Sunshine, who was crossing her arms over her chest, lips pressed together. Her eyes narrowed back at Blaine.
My brows furrowed. “Lying about what?” I moved closer to Blaine, and their posture turned rigid like a deer caught in the headlights.
“Your coffee, sweetheart.” I gave her the medium cup.
With a short and jerky movement, she took it and mumbled thank you.
Sunshine cleared her throat, causing me to shift my gaze back to her. “I was telling her that—”
“Xandry.” Blaine grabbed my arm. “I told her—”
“Xandry,” Sunshine called out from her bed, and I quickly looked at her. She was clutching her abdomen, grimacing.
“Sunshine, are you okay?”
“Xandry.” Blaine gripped my arm. My gaze ping-ponged between them.
I blinked. “Wait, wait!” I raised my hand to stop them. “Girls, is everything okay?” I stared at them attentively. I was confused about what was going on. They had seemed in an intense confrontation when I got in, now, none of them answered. I waited, raising my brows.
“I was telling her—”
“Yes, in fact, she’s glad I extended my stay until Wednesday,” Blaine cut off Sunshine. Again. She was grinning, but there was something off about it. Then she turned her head to look at Sunshine whose eyes widened with surprise.
Blaine was still gripping my arm, and I looked down at her. “Wait, you two were talking about your stay for another two days?” I asked in disbelief, not nearly convince.
She nodded repeatedly to confirm. “I’m gonna call Daddy though and re-schedule our flight, what do you think?”
Somehow, I managed to smile sincerely. “Really? So we’ll have another date?” I was literally grinning. If she did this for me, I would be glad to make the two days with her memorable.
“Another?” Sunshine asked a little louder.
“Yeah, I told you we had a date last night at his apartment. We had dinner and watched a movie, right, Xandry?” Blaine answered with a brow arched at me.
Sunshine didn’t say anything, but she looked like she was holding something. She breathed heavily as she looked away. Her face turned red, pressed her lips together to a thin line, and stared at the window with intensity.
I ignored her, whatever it was I was going to have a one on one talk with her when Blaine was not around. This must be the effect of the drug she received. This couldn’t be the baby blues she told me about when she was still pregnant.
“Can we go now?” Blaine asked.
I kissed the side of her head. “You wanna go now?” It didn’t feel awkward to show a little PDA even with Sunshine around. She was aware of my relationship with Blaine. And I and Sunshine were just friends.
She took a quick look at Sunshine who was still in the same position for over a minute, then she nodded. “We have to take Ben from Bianca. I can’t stress her out.”
“Okay.” I released her hand and walked toward Sunshine. “Shine, we’re leaving, okay? Call me if you need anything.” I leaned down and squeezed her arm, and she just shrugged. “Take a rest, I’ll see you tomorrow.” I waited for her to answer, but it didn’t happen, instead, she just gave me a cold shoulder.
Something didn’t add up.
“Get well soon, Sunshine. We are going to have a party for Sammer when she gets home.” Blaine smiled at her—still, something in her smile that I had not seen before.
“Yeah, a party it is,” Sunshine snorted and sang, “Bye.”
Wrapping my arm around Blaine’s tensed shoulder, we silently walked out of the hospital to the parking lot. I couldn’t help but not think of what really happened earlier. I knew Blaine wasn’t completely honest with me. What was she hiding? I knew it had nothing to do with the extension of her stay, but on top of that, I was totally cool with it.
If they happened to fight over me, for what reason? Sunshine had nothing to do with me romantically. We had Sammer, that was the only thing that bound us together. Blaine can’t be jealous of her, can she?
I would be crazy without Blaine in my life, but I couldn’t push Sunshine away, at least not right now. She had not crossed the line. And I made a promise to her, and I couldn’t choose between Sammer and Blaine either. Do I really have to?
She was sipping her coffee when I talked. “What happened back there?”
Her body stiffened. “What happened?” she asked innocently, blinking.
“Sweetheart, you were not you back there.” I rubbed her arms, showing her I was on her side.
She huffed a breath and said in a low tone, “I thought she’s nice,”
My brow arched. “Sunshine?” I chuckled. “She’s nice, sweetheart. She must be in discomfort, just give her a break and you know she’d been through a lot these past few days.” I watched her closely. “Thought you two get along.”
“That’s what I thought, too, but she changed.” With her slumped posture, she looked away for an overlong moment with a downturned expression.
My chest ached to hear it from her. There was no way Blaine would lie over it. But I couldn’t see Sunshine was being mean to her as well. It seemed just not right. What did I miss? She never demanded or asked anything, and she was glad about the agreement Dad and I had come up with.
“I want us, Blaine. God knows how much I want us, but I can’t push Sunshine out of my life. We had an agreement, and I tend to keep it that way.”
“I understand, Xandry. I want us, too. I was just surprised at how she reacted when you left to buy coffee for us.” She shrugged, finally, she looked up at me with her dull blue eyes. “You’re probably right, maybe she’s in pain. I’m such an inconsiderate bitch.”
“Don’t. Don’t say that to yourself. You’re the most considerate person I’ve ever met, in fact, you wouldn’t be here with me if you’re not.”
“Let’s get inside the car, shall we?” She grabbed the door, but it was locked.
“Can’t wait for me to be a little gentlemanly, eh?” I teased with a fake British accent to lessen the tension.
“You are too gentleman for me since I arrived.” She giggled, getting into the car.
I rounded to the driver’s side, getting inside, and locked the door. I latched my seat belt when I sensed her gaze on me. I stared at her intently, studying her soft features.
Her eyes were already swimming with humor. Her lips slightly curved, holding a laugh. She buckled up and straightened her posture like the seat was only made for her. She’s just gorgeous.
My stupid heart pounded an erratic beat the longer I glanced at her soft red lips. Jesus, when was the last time I tasted that sweet plump lips? So tempting that made my cock instantly thick and hard against my pants. My skin tingled and hot as lust sieged my body, desperate for what she could give me.
I unknowingly licked my lips, imagining biting the bottom as she—
Fuck.
I shoved off the thoughts with a disbelieving chuckle that rumbled in my chest and shook my head.
She unbuckled her belt, shifting on her seat to face me. “Are you just gonna stare at me or kiss me already?”
My mouth fell open, but her hand was already on my jaw, thumb under my chin. Her free hand went at the back of my head, pulling me closer to her.
That’s it. In one quick motion, I unbuckled my seat belt, my hand found the back of her neck, and crushed my mouth to hers. Fuck friend-fucking-zone! I needed to taste her, to take her, to have her, to be buried deep inside her, and to be one with her.
On a sigh of relief, she opened her mouth to me, and I coaxed, prodded, wanting more from her. Her hand was grasping my hair, the other was clutching my skin. The longer we kissed the desperate I became. I swept my tongue into her mouth, tasting her—she tasted coffee and sweet. God, she’s pure sweetness. Lust consumed me—overwhelming my brain—aching her with desperate needs like she controlled the air I breathe.
Her grip loosened on my arm, pressed her palm over my galloping heart—it was just at the right place. And I swore I could feel its beat sped up. Only for her.
I deepened the kiss, licking every corner I could get. My name slipped in a whimper, making me groan in pleasure, in pain, and in blue balls. My dick was too overwhelmed with the heat of our intense kiss. It was fucking long—too nine weeks long. And I was losing my grip. My sanity was slipping away.
I broke the kiss, breathing heavily. “Blaine.”
Fuck! I blinked, trying to orient myself.
I completely forgot we were still in the parking lot. I forgot everything when I was with her. Everything doesn’t matter when I’m with her. No, it matters because she’s my everything.
Shit! That was sexy when she pushed her lips to me—she wanted more. And I fucking wanted more. It was just, I couldn’t get enough of her. And damn. We were still in the parking lot.
I’m such a greedy asshole.
“Yes.” It was barely audible.
“I desperately want you.”
“Let’s go home.”
