The Pavilion

2 days later, William messaged Rosaline on WeChat.

“Hey! How are you doing?”

“Great! What about you?”

“I’m fine! Can we meet?”

“…”

“Got something important to discuss.”

“Alright. Where?”

“The Pavilion. Private Room called Splendours.”

“Okay. 5 pm?”

“Sure. Make sure to avoid being seen or recognized.”

“What do you mean?”

“Explain in person?”

“Alright, see ya.”

The Pavilion was one of the largest pubs in Apex city. Luxurious and classy, it also exuded a mysterious vibe. The modern architecture, gorgeous interiors, private rooms, the dim lights without being shady, large open bar counter, large open dance floor as well one small dance floor on the open rooftop, everything was designed in an extremely low-key luxurious manner.

It was the noble, classy and mysterious vibe of the Pavilion which made it quite a hit in the city despite the exorbitant price. The privacy provided, dozens of security guards patrolling around, and in-house doctors further added to the charm.

It had strictly limited the number of entries, which further tickled everyone’s fancy, as it became a way to show off.

The private rooms could only be booked by the ones with the rare and prestigious VIP membership. William managed to book a private room using the VIP membership he had received as a reward during his tenure in Scott designs.

Rosaline had been there before, so she was aware of how luxurious and expensive it was. She had never been to the private rooms before since she did not have the membership. She politely asked the waiter for the room who showed her the way.

William involuntarily let out a low curse when Rosaline walked in. She was wearing a black jumpsuit with a V cut which ended right above her cleavage, tempting but hiding what’s underneath. Its back showed off her beautiful shoulder blades revealing a series of 4 small tattoos of birds in flight going from her left shoulder to her neck. The dress ended slightly above her ankle revealing her medium heeled open-toed strappy white pumps.

Her hair was messily pinned on the back with a few loose strands hovering on her sides. With light make-up and pink lipstick, she looked like a flower in full blossom rather than an underage high-school student as she usually looked. Neither over-dressed for meeting a recent acquaintance, nor under-dressed for the venue, she was smoking hot, but delicate and innocent at the same time.

Rosaline too stared at William as he stood up but stopped walking after a step. Rosaline thought he was extra attractive today in blue denim pants, white shoes, a white t-shirt which showed off his slender figure, and a black blazer to set it off. This was the first time she had seen him properly dressed. His hair looked like he had been carelessly running his fingers over it for quite some time.

They both scanned each-other top to bottom without concealing the interest and gulped. The knocking on the door interrupted the ambiguous atmosphere.

William concealed his awkwardness with a cough and welcomed her with a smile.

“You are here. Grab a seat.”

“Thanks!”

They heard the knock again as Rosaline was about to take a seat. William answered the door and took a seat opposite to Rosaline.

The waiter left after serving the drinks and snacks and instructed them to ring the bell for anything.
