Olivia’s P. O. V.
It has been over a year since the battle so much has happened. I am with my one true mate. Peter and Benjamin found their mates that day after the battle. I was so relieved. Not that I don’t like them, I am just glad to only have one mate. We have all become good friends. Bianca and I have been best friends. It was even more solidified when I found out I was pregnant three weeks after the battle.
Our children were born a month apart but they have been together all the time. She had a beautiful little girl that they named Clair. I had a little boy that I named Derrick. Victor loves him to pieces. Even with another on the way he still makes sure he takes as much time as possible for Derrick.
Alpha Craig has been ecstatic since his birth. I caught him one day holding him and rocking him, then telling him that he can have any mate in the world as long as he was happy. I think he learned his lesson.
The pack treats me differently. I am no longer looked at as a weak wolf. Not only did I kill the rogue leader, who shall remain nameless since he thought himself too arrogant to give us his name, but I also was part of saving their Alpha. Not that I think that I had a whole lot to play in that, the goddess wanted him to come back.
Victor treated me like a treasure every day. I still feel like I died and this was heaven. Things were just going too well, you know how it is. The packs are all aligned. The rogues are almost nonexistent, which means less trouble from them. Training has changed in the packs, everyone trains now and we are all stronger for it. I kept my promise to make this pack as strong as I can. The rogues that were taken prisoner, most were allowed to remain as pack members. There were a few that were just too dangerous. They had to be put down. We couldn’t risk another uprising.
“Babe, are you ready?”
I looked up at Victor, I was lost in thought. I almost forgot what I was doing. I am dressed and appear to be ready to go. “I guess so.”
“What’s wrong baby? Did I do something?” Concern laces his voice. I guess my pregnancy hormones have him on edge.
I laugh, “No, not at all. I was just thinking about how perfect things are. It’s almost like I am waiting for the other shoe to drop. Things just seem too perfect, I mean I have the mate I dreamed about my whole life. I have an awesome son and another baby on the way. I am just thrilled.”
Victor came over and grabbed my hand and pulled me up into his arms. “I told you the goddess said she would make it right again. I am just as excited to have you in my bed every night. I used to lay awake at night and dream about it.” He starts spreading kisses all down my neck. “Why do we have to go to this thing again?”
I can tell what he is thinking. “Because we are generating goodwill. Besides, they are our friends.”
He groans. “Fine, fine, fine. But you better hurry up before I take you back to bed and ravage you instead.”
I laugh and shake my head. “I can’t believe I let you kiss me with that mouth. The mother of your children.”
“You love it.”
“I do. I really do.”
We head over to the college, we have Derrick buckled in his car seat in the back. The college has become a community center for gatherings with the packs. Today is our Christmas celebration. We decided last year that we would start having celebrations four times a year together like one big pack. I loved seeing everyone and I think secretly Victor liked it too. As we pull up I see all the lights glowing and I am filled with joy. ‘Tis the season I guess.
When we make our way in I see Derrick struggle out of his father’s arms and then run over to Clair. “They are going to be hard to separate.” I smile at Victor.
“Yeah, he loves like his father. For life.” He smirks at me.
I see Bianca standing close to Clair when Derrick ran up she looked around for me. I smile at her, then wink as I motion to our children. She smirks too. We come closer and as I watch the children two identical babies about a year younger than Derrick come crawling into the circle. They are Benny and Johnny. They are Peter’s boys. He was actually thrilled to have twins said that he could then divide the packs again and make less work for one Alpha, when they came of age. I see his mate Heidi come over and watch the boys as well.
I approach the group and I can tell that there is a glowing member coming towards us. Kara, Benjamin’s mate, is glowing with that pregnancy glow that all mothers have. She is thrilled. It took quite a bit of time to get her to open up, but we couldn’t be happier to add her to our little group of friends. I am glad that she feels the love that we all have for her, she has been through way too much for one wolf. No wonder the goddess gave her to Benjamin, he treats her like the goddess herself.
“We need to get together more. Like a weekly breakfast or lunch or something.” I smile at the group. We are short a few though. I look around and there is Hugo’s mate Leith. She is just coming in and looking around for the food. She is a big eater but she is still so thin. Then there is Riley’s mate, Iris. Riley is Shawn’s Beta. Iris is sweet but sometimes a little too shy for my liking. Aaron’s mate just walked over. Her name is Elizabeth, she is great. She is like Aaron in a lot of ways. When I am hanging out with her, which is a lot I feel like when I was a kid hanging out with Aaron and Victor.
I can see our group of children growing over the next few years and I am so glad that we have all of this. I couldn’t be happier. I know I had to go through some shit to get here but I am so glad that we all made it. I would have preferred to not have all the pain but it was worth it all in the end.
