“Hey…” she opened the door for me, she was a little pale but looked as beautiful as always.

It felt like I had just close my eyes when Louise got out of the bed in a hurry. She was quick to go to the bathroom.
She was vomiting on the toilet bowl when I hurriedly came up to her. I was trying to hold her hair when she puked and emptied her stomach.
“Louise baby, do you want to go to the ER? Why don’t we get the anti-nausea stuff? This looks painful.” I kept on rubbing her back as she hunched down over the toilet.
Minutes later she finally flushed the toilet and washed her face, then gurgled on the minty mouthwash.

“Wait, she knows?” I asked accusingly, I was upset that she didn’t tell me first.

“Allen, please… not now…” she replied in her raspy voice.
“Look, just sit back on the bed. I’ll warm the milk for you. I love you Lou… just let me take care of you.” I said caressing her cheeks.
She eventually relents and went back to lay on the bed.
I was back to her side minutes later with two cups of hot milk and gave one to her. She sipped her milk before she started telling me exactly what happens at dinner.
“So your dad basically wants me dead now?”
I put away my cup and took her onto my chest. I was liking the feeling of us relaxing together, kissing her hair as she let out her small laughter.
“Yeah, but I’ll protect you from him. Just keep on pampering me and you’re set.”
“I will… you don’t have to ask, now you should get some sleep,” I said, putting away her already empty cup to the side table and spooned her while caressing her non-existent baby bump.
“Whatever happens tomorrow, I love you.” I kissed her shoulder and whispered in her ear.
