Player Who Gets Played -Chapter 19. Taking her back

Book:Coastal Desires Published:2024-5-1

I called Grady after we hang up, and I told her to get some rest. He was telling me that had just arrived from Sherry’s.
“… but, seriously… how did she look? Is she okay?”
“She reminded me of Winston’s ex, do you remember the goth chick who he used to date back in high school?”
The twins and us were neighbors when we were kids, we always hang out together and surround ourselves with the same crowds.
Crap!
“She didn’t finish her pizza, she looked at it for the longest time then took small bites. It wasn’t like those weight watcher women, but more like the troubled kind of eating habit? I don’t know what you call it…”
“Eating disorder… anorexia,” I told him sighing, and rest my naked back to the headboard.
“Shit man, I’m sorry. Sherry knows about it, but I think she was respecting her friend’s privacy by not telling me about her issues. And I didn’t push her to explain, do you want me to?”
“No… no, I think I know already. I’m picking her up for breakfast in a couple of hours. Sam is still here, I’ll sleep on my way there. Damn it…”
“Hey… chill man, the only way you’re doing this is by taking a step back and let her decide. She has her friends and I think Sherry mentioned, that they had just gotten back from her consultation. So she’s also seeking professional help… that’s a plus.”
I relaxed knowing the fact that she had sought professional help. Grady was right, I need to give her some space.
I’ll see her for breakfast then we’ll see.
Yeah… right, you’re freaking addicted to her.
“Thank you man, I really appreciate this. So… you and Sherry huh?”
“Yeah we’re seeing where it goes… look, Allen just don’t get spooked by her Dobermans. They’re gentle giants, I know you have a thing about dogs.”
“Crap. Plural? As in more than one? Are you trying to get me to back down from picking her up?”
Grady laughed at me knowing that I’ve been terrified of dogs. Ah… the things I would do for that woman really scares me.
We talked some more then we ended the call after he gave me her address. I set my alarm and texted Sam to be ready at six, then I close my eyes and took a couple of hours of sleep.
I should get myself ready for the competition, but I couldn’t take my mind off of her. I know I’d do anything for her. And I was screwed.
It felt like minutes when my alarm woke me up. I groaned and get dressed, then out the door after finishing off my morning shakes.
“Morning.” Sam greeted me, as he opens the back door for me.
“Sam, to the city, please. We’re picking up Louise at her friend’s…” I said and giving him the address.
I woke up just minutes before we arrived at Sherry’s. Her house was big. Damn, no wonder she keeps Dobermans. I took a deep breath, then I get out of the car and walk up to her front door.
The dog barks were heard, my hands were starting to sweat. Cool, it dude! You can do this. You’re bigger than the dogs!
“Boys! Sit!” Her stern voice was heard, then there was silence. Damn, she’s really good.
The door opened and Sherry greeted me, with her two big dogs lurking behind her looking at me like I was their treats. Shit… maybe I should just let her stay here.
“Come on in Allen, Grady had texted me saying that you’ll be coming for Louise. Let me get my boys out to the backyard, why don’t you take a seat…”
I was reluctant in entering her house, there was no leash on them just very expensive-looking collars. They were growling lowly at me, but then they quickly bark in excitement when Sherry calls them out to the back yard. She was kneeling and giving them hugs and kisses, rubbing their backs and bellies then setting up their food bowls on the back porch and leave them to eat. She was back in the house, closing and locking the door behind her.
“They can open the door, I need to lock it…” she explained knowing that I was looking at her, while she was doing so.
“Right, big dogs.” I nodded at her.
She laughed, then joined me in the seating area.
“They’re my guards, my protector. I’m sorry if they make you nervous. Grady said that you have a thing for dogs.” She smiled looking amused at me.
“All kinds of dogs especially Chihuahua. You can not see them coming, so no offense for your giants. My greatest fear is the dog park.”
“Ah Allen, you just made my morning…” she laughed at my words, and that was when Louise came out of a room. She looked pale, but smile when she looked at her friend and me.
“Hey, you’re here… Sher, did you question him?” she pouted adorably at her.
“No… haven’t got the chance. Go, I was just about to give him the low down on how my boys will bite his ass off if he messes with you.”
Lou hugged her and kissed her cheek.
“I love you too bestie, thank you for letting me crash here, and for yesterday. I think I need some sea air, I already get Cherise to send my overnight stuff to his place. Call me okay? He’s taking me out for breakfast.” She said winking at her.
I got up and finally hugged her when she was coming towards me.
“Hey, I’ve missed you,” I whispered in her ear.
We were out the door after we said our goodbyes, and in my car minutes later. I was taking her hand in mine, kissing her knuckles. We had breakfast at Mable’s, greeted my friend Dale and his daughter, Mable.
“Those muffins were delicious! And his kid is so adorable.”
“Yeah? I met him in one of my mom’s gala. His family is one of the richest in the state, but he’s doing his own thing with his coffee shop.”
“That’s nice. People should do what they want, and not be restricted by what they should or shouldn’t do.”
She was sitting back, while I keep on holding to her hand. We talked about anything but her issues, she would open up to me when she wanted to. I was not going to push her.
She did finish her meal, she ate her breakfast while talking to Mable. I was silently proud of her for finishing her breakfast.
I looked at her, as she smiled at me.
“What?”
“Nothing…” But I decided to pull her closer and kissed her, deep and hard.
“Allen… your driver.” She whispered, knowing that Sam could see our kiss from the rearview mirror.
I smirked at her and pushed the divider button and cut his view to the back seat, after briefly telling him to go straight to the beach house.
“Now, where were we?”
“You kissing me, and I… was straddling you… how long do we have?” She was on my lap, doing just that, straddling me. She took off her denim jacket, leaving her strapless dress showing off her sexy cleavage making me groaned.
“Half an hour depends on the traffic. Damn it, Lou… I fucking missed you so much.  But you don’t have to… we don’t have to rush things. I’m here for you baby.”
“I know… that’s why I needed this from you. Make me forget Allen, take me away…”
Her words were needy, her eyes were hooded. She was begging me to please her, to take her away. So I put my hand on her neck and pull her down for a kiss. Her lips were soft and her moans were making me hard.
“Baby, not here… I can’t contain myself with you.” I told her in all honesty.
My other hand was trailing her thigh, then squeezing her ass making her moaned. We were making out, kissing, feeling each other for the longest time until the car finally pulled into the driveway.
Sam knocked on the door, informing us that we’ve arrived. She peeled herself from me and we were out the door in seconds, then entered my beach house in record time.
She was giggling in my arms, I was stripping her off, she was unbuckling my pants, we were finally naked when we reached my room.
