Player Who Gets Played -Chapter 16. Addicted or not Addicted

It was not until a couple of hours later after I leave her place, I realized that there was still a nagging feeling like something was not right. But I couldn’t tell what it was.
I decided to text her once I arrived back at mom’s. I was thinking of heading back to the beach house later but decided to postpone it until tomorrow morning.
“Allen? I thought that was you…” mom greeted me from the kitchen. She looked tired, she always likes to keep herself busy. But sometimes not knowing her limit.
“Mom… you should rest, you looked tired.” I hugged her warmly. Though she can be such a demanding mom, but I still love her unconditionally. With the kind of past Winston and us have together, it’s the struggles that made us a really strong knit family.
“Well son, thank you… and you don’t look too hot yourself. Want to chat? I just made a pot of coffee.”
We sit down for coffee, then I told her about meeting Myra today. And I didn’t know why, but I also told her about Louise.
“She seemed nice, why don’t you invite her for dinner… or maybe she could come to the gala I’m hosting next weekend? That is if you want to introduce me to her.” she joked but I could tell that she was actually curious about Louise.
“I don’t know mom, she has her issues and she still insisted on us being casual. I think she had a bad past. And with my work and training, I don’t know if I could make it this weekend.” I said while sipping my coffee, but deep down I would take any excuse just to see her again.
Damn these feelings…
“Well, I do think you work too hard. I know we had some hard time in the past…” she said as she looked out the window, obviously didn’t want to let me see her teary eyes.
I hated that she would blame herself for everything that had happened to us, I hated that our struggles made her depressed from time to time.
“Mom… please, we’re good now. Better. I’m just… she’s just… I don’t know, I need to get to know her better but she won’t let me…” I sighed as I pour out my true feelings to her.
“I don’t get why she won’t think of you as a catch.” She smiled at me knowing that I got my list of fans behind me. I chuckled to her words and relaxed back to my seat.
“She’s… different, she’s settled and a very confident woman. I just need her to…”
“Bro! Hey, you’re here… I thought you’re staying at Louise, hey mom…” Winston greeted mom kissing her cheek, then sit himself down and let mom pour him some coffee after she told him to get another cup.
“He was telling me about his new girlfriend, and why haven’t you tell me anything about this? I like to keep up with my boys.”
“She’s not my girlfriend, we’re… casual…” I said it, with a lack of confidence in my voice.
“Uh-huh…” she chimed knowingly already.
“Damn… you’re whipped!” Winston laughed, looking pleased with my relationship issues.
Relationship? Really?
We’re going there now big boy?
“Dude, you have your own issues with her friend. I saw how you flocked to her side the moment she arrived at the twins.” I decided to let his woman out and let mom judged him too. I smirked as Winston looked at me, squinting his eyes.
“Really now? Ok, you need to tell me about her… I’ve got suitors for my boys already for my next gala, but you both are already busy with your girls.”
Both of us groaned to her words, she would do this knowing that we have been players for the longest time. She had mentioned that she wanted us to settle down and have a family of our own, the kids, the white picket fence house, and the whole shebang.
“Okay, you know what happened with Myra right? I love you dearly… but you really need to vet the girls carefully. Maybe Winston could have a go, I’ve tried your way already.” I said smirking at my dear little brother. He groaned and finish off on his coffee.
“Okay!” her face lights up with excitement, while Winston stared at me with I will get you back for this look on his face.
“I’ll text you the details for the Gala, but you should come too… come on it’s for a good cause….”
“I’ll see what I can do mom… and will let you know days before.”
I smiled at her, as she gets up after finishing her coffee and went to the kitchen.
“Okay boys, I’m going to rest now. Allen… be patient with her, she seemed nice.” Her last words just took my mind and drifted off to her in seconds.
“Wow… you really got it bad. Like real bad.” Winston laughed at me, as he gets up and put his cup in the sink.
“I’m going back to the beach house tomorrow. I’m behind schedule already.” I grunted my words to him.
“Bro… look, just keep it casual kay? I don’t want to see you hurt.”
“Yeah…” that was all I managed to say to him, knowing I really it to tone it down and keep my mind busy with work.
I leave him and went to my room, I was fiddling with my phone. Until I decided to call her.
Ring once…
Ring twice…
It kept on ringing…
Until I gave up, wishfully thinking that she had gone to bed already. Then I decided to call Jack.
“Jack? Are you working? Yeah… no I’m bored. Okay, see you in thirty… nah I’m dragging Winnie with me. Why don’t you call the twins, we’ll meet up there.”
I finally had it, I need to get rid of this nagging feeling. If she said that I was not addicted to her, then I need to prove it. I needed to test her theory.
“Winnie, let’s go we’re going all out tonight! I’m taking my mind off her.” I said knocking on his door, he was out in seconds.
“Woah! There’s the man! Two drinking parties in one day! Let’s go…”
We arrived at Players minutes before the twins. I already told them that we’re going hunting. It was our bro code for not taking dates, and searching for new ones.
“We should do this more often!” Percy was squinting from the burn on his throat, definitely enjoying Jack’s new mix of poison alcohol. He slammed his shot glass with a big cheer, making all of us laughed then raised our glass and drink our shots.
Girls started flocking to our VIP area, some sitting on our laps, some were flirting shamelessly with their sexy body and very sheer and tight dresses. There were more girls than us boys, but I cursed on the inside as my mind kept on wandering back to Louise.
The woman on my lap was flashing her tits to me, and trailing her kisses to my neck. But the heat was not there, I wasn’t feeling it. Winston looked at me and raised his brow, he obviously knew what this night was supposed to be about.
I kept on drinking and think that I would forget about her, I needed her out of my mind. I needed to focus on my work. Then I took it further as I get the two women back to a hotel, the boys were cheering for me. Though Winston just kept on looking at me, he knows me the best. He knows that Louise already has her claws on me and that I was trying my hardest to let myself go.
I was drunk when the women were stripping me naked. Then they were kissing and were putting on a show for me, as they start making out naked on the hotel bed.
Two should be enough right? Two sexy women making out naked in front of me should get me aroused right?
But then I cursed as I open the mini bar, and start drinking again. I took my seat on the sofa, watching the two drunk women fucking in front of me. I was not even hard. Damn it!
Half an hour later, I was back in my car. I told Sam to drive me directly to the beach house. I leave the women still fucking in the hotel room and settled the bill for them. At least they’re having a good time, I sighed and relaxed to the back seat.
Maybe I should just get away from her in the first place. Maybe some distance from her would do me good. Maybe it would make me forget about her.
Fuck I am addicted.
