“Marissa baby, wake up… your dad is here.” He kissed the top of my head lovingly, he was already dressed. Then he picked me up, knowing I wouldn’t get up if he didn’t carry me to the bathroom.
“Nate, I’m up… I’m up… you can put me down.” I giggled in his arms as he carried me. Then he started stripping me to get ready and change my clothes.
“Just do your morning stuff, I’ll bathe you later baby.” He kissed my cheek and left me in the bathroom.
I was done with my morning stuff, as I looked in the mirror and saw the cut on my cheek. Then I started to remember what happened yesterday. I was about to cry when Nate showed up to check on me.
“Hey… baby, it’s okay. It’s over, I’m taking care of everything. It’s all good my love.” He hugged me from behind and started trailing his kisses from my back to my neck while whispering his sweet words in my ear. I was moaning his name in no time.
“There’s my little one. Come on let’s greet your dad, he’s been worried about you.” He told me as he caressed my ass cheek, making me whined.
He chuckled and walked out of the bathroom, I followed him while taking his hand in mine. He squeezed it and whispered in my ear saying that he loves me.
“Marissa, oh my god. I’ve been so worried. Albert told me everything. God, seems that I’m causing lots of disaster for you….” He hugged me and rubbed my back lovingly.
“Dad, it’s not your fault. I’m just glad everything is over. I’m sorry for staying here last night. I was not ready to explain everything to you. I was so exhausted….”
We talked over breakfast, dad and Albert brought us coffee and breakfast, Nate set everything and we eat and discuss about the twins and Pamela.
“Dave still hasn’t found Pamela. The twins kept on telling the detectives that Pamela had nothing to do with your kidnapping. But Dave was not convinced. At least until Pamela had been brought in for questioning.” Albert told us.
Dad keeps on stroking my hand like he was afraid to let me go. “I’m okay dad. Thanks to Nate here actually. It’s not your fault, they’re just crazy. But they hide it so well in front of you. No…. dad please, don’t blame yourself. You had been a good dad for me, it’s just since mom, you need more time to adjust. I’m good dad.”
He sighed and finally relax, as he sipped on his coffee. Then there the doorbell rang. Nate looked at his watch.
“Sorry that must be my PA, she’s dropping off some paperwork. I’m taking a couple of days off to be with Marissa.” He explained, as he got up and opened the door. He let her in and introduced her to all of us. She was a sweet, and beautiful older woman. From the corner of my eye, I could see that dad was checking her out, making me smile.
“Marissa, it’s nice to finally meet you. I’m glad that everything is good. Nate, I need your signature on all of this.” She handed him the documents, as he sat down on another chair and looked at the files.
“Come, sit with us Bridgette while Nate is signing the documents….” I invited her to sit, and have coffee with us.
“Oh Marissa, you’re beautiful. No wonder he’s smitten by you.” I blushed at her words.
“Bridgette… stop gossiping and drink your coffee.” Nate tugged his lip upward, and but his eyes remain to scan the documents and signing them.
“No seriously, he went crazy when you went missing. He even punched the wall, see his knuckles? I fixed that for him.” She smiled smugly, while she kept on whispering and gossiping at our table. Dad was definitely intrigued by her sense of humor and mischief.
“I really think you’re the best one. I never like his previous one…”
“Bridgette, I’m done here. I think it’s time for you to leave before you start sharing my darkest secrets.” He told her, as he gathered the scatter documents back.
“Oh, Nate! You’re a sweet boy deep inside. Seriously, Marissa, he’s a sweet one. I’ve known him for the longest. He’s a keeper. I’ll vouch for him.” She grinned at me, as Nate started ushering her out the door.
“Let’s go, Bridgette, you still have an office to open up.”
“Ookkay boss, I’ll see you around Marissa, Marissa’s dad, and lawyer. Nice to meet you all. Seriously, Nate, she looks like a keeper, don’t mess this one up.” She whispered loudly, intentionally louder than necessary, just to make sure all of us could hear her.
My dad laughed the hardest. “Nate, my boy… I need her as my PA she’s delightful.” Then I saw her blushing, making me raised an eyebrow at Nate, and he looked at me, as we thought of the same conclusion.
We finished breakfast with dad and Albert two hours later, after he was sure that I was okay. Nate told my dad, that he was taking me to relax at the beach cottage.
“Oh, Nate! Thank you!” I hugged him, then I realized that dad and Albert were still in the room, as dad let out a pretend to cough. I blushed, making Nate laughed and kissed the top of my head.
“Okay then, we’re going to leave you two lovebirds alone for now. Call or text me when you’ve arrived okay? I’ll see you there this weekend then.” Dad hugged me goodbye, and so did Albert.
We left for the coast half an hour later and arrived just before dinner. “Thank you for this Nate.” I wrapped my arm around his waist, as he opened the cottage door.
“Wait, why are some of our stuff is here? Nate?” I saw my cushions, my books, his books, and his TV from his room. Then he gave me the cottage key, it had my name engraved on it.
“Nate?” I asked him, but he was busy kissing me. “Sshh… it’s yours, my love. Just let me love you, baby.”
“But Nate, you can’t just buy me a cottage. I love you too baby, but this is too much. I’m just your girlfriend.”
“But you are mine, and I’m taking care of what’s mine. And it’s way cheaper than having to rent every time we’re here. Seriously baby, you really want to talk while I’m hard as a rock now?” He licked my neck and slid his hand down to my waistline. I moaned his name and forget about my objection just like that.
Damn him…
