Flora’s POV
I stumbled to my father’s side and knelt down beside him. At this point, I can only pick myself out of these things according to what my father said before.
Dad reached out and took my hand. “Flora, Flora…”
“What you said just now isn’t true, is it?” With tears in my eyes, I held my father’s hand in my backhand. “Tell Cheney and his grandparents what you said is not true, you won’t do this, you are not such a person, Dad.”
He closed his eyes. “You shouldn’t have come here.”
“Say it, quickly.”
“Flora, I’m sorry.”
I shook my head. “It should not be like this, it should not be like this.” I pulled my hand out of his hand and hugged him tightly. “Dad, I don’t believe it. I absolutely don’t believe you will do this. This is just a dream, right, Dad?”
“I did something wrong.”
“No, no, no, no,” I firmly denied. “How can it be you? If it is you, why do you say something good about Miss Krista in front of me? If you really hate her so much, why do you say she is a good person? And Romeo… you have said it, that you wanted to play with him more, please don’t lie, Dad.”
I let go of him, holding his face in both hands, so anxious that my body shook up. “Dad, didn’t you teach me the truth of doing what you don’t want to do to others?”
He closed his eyes.
I turned to look at the old man, “Grandpa, do you really believe my father’s words? My father is not such a person, you all know that, right?”
He sighed.
I put my hand over my face, and dove my head on the ground, and cried my heart out until nothing could be done.
Dad reached out and gently stroked my head. “I did something wrong, and I can bear all the consequences. Dad just asks you to forget the dad you always knew, Flora…”
My forehead stuck to the ground and interrupted his words. “Being loved or forgotten, this is my life. Dad, you shouldn’t have done something wrong because of me. You were a good person, but because of me… how can I forget and live with peace of mind for the rest of my life?”
“You can, Dad is Dad, you are you, Dad did all these not for you, but for himself. Dad is in vain and wants his child to be the housewife of the Fischer family. Dad hurt the housewife and Master Romeo because of his own thoughts.”
Krista suddenly stood up. “Grandpa, Grandma, Romeo is still waiting for me to go back to the hospital. I have to go back first.” After she said that, she quickly left the Plum Court.
That’s great! As long as the cheap woman is gone, the people in the Fischer family are soft-hearted. I can’t understand it anymore. As long as you pretend to be soft and sell badly, everything will turn around.
Sure enough, I heard the old man say to Cheney, “Cheney, how are you going to deal with this matter?”
I looked up, looked at Cheney, and cried, “Cheney, don’t hurt my dad. All the wrong things my dad did were because of me, and I am willing to take all the responsibility.”
He frowned. “Poisoning Romeo is an attempted homicide. How do you bear such responsibility?”
I showed him a pitiful look. “If you need me to bear it, I will bear it. If you want me to accept the trial of the law, then I will accept the trial of the law. If you need to pay for your life, take my life away. I don’t care. Anyway, I am nobody now, ghosts and ghosts, and it is meaningless to live. Instead of living and suffering, it is better to change my dad’s life for the rest of my life.”
” Flora, what are you talking about?” Dad covered my mouth. “I’m responsible for what I did wrong.”
“You didn’t do anything wrong. The only thing you did wrong was to give birth to such a disappointing daughter as me. Dad, please, don’t say anything, and let me do something for you.”
Dad looked up at Cheney with tears in his eyes. “Young master, I know I did something wrong, but today, just look at our old mutual affection. Please take Flora away and let me deal with the matter.”
Cheney’s pov
To be honest, I’m not touched by what father-daughter affection they are playing here now. Maybe because I already know too many of their dirty schemes. Even for Flora, I don’t feel that much.
Grandpa made a signal for me to take Flora away. I just nodded and stepped forward to help Flora. “Flora, you should get up first then I’ll let someone send you back.”
She swept my hand away. “Then, what are you going to do to my father after sending me away? What are you going to do with him? Cheney, I never begged you for anything, but today, just once, I beg of you, don’t hurt my father, I know … Romeo is innocent, but my father’s mistakes are all caused by me. In the final analysis, I am the culprit. Even if I have to bear the responsibility, it is not my father’s turn. Let me bear the responsibility, please. ”
I turned around, walked to the door, and said to my servant at the door, “Call some people to please Miss Flora to go back to her room.”
Several servants came in, but Flora cried so hard  and struggled and refused to leave.
Finally, at my sign, she was forced out of the Plum Court.
The living room became quiet again.
I looked at Grandpa and said, “Grandpa, do you have any plans for this matter?”
He looked at Jacob coldly and failed to say a word.
Grandma looked at me and said, “Cheney, do you have any thoughts?”
I thought about it and said, “Act according to law.”
Jacob’s POV
If they act according to law… won’t I spend the rest of my life in prison?
Oh, I didn’t expect that the young master could treat me so hard for that woman.
The old lady looked at me. “Jacob, do you have any objection to Cheney’s words?”
I was busy adjusting my expression but then I shook my head and said, “No.”
When Cheney took out his cell phone and was about to make a phone call, I said, “Young master, can I ask you one thing for the last time?”
He put down his cell phone, a little bit reluctant.
My expression is dignified. “Next Wednesday is Flora’s birthday. Can we let her birthday pass before I leave?”
Instead of responding directly, Cheney asked, “Grandma and Grandpa, what do you think?”
The old man stood up, walked to the bedroom on crutches, and said nothing.
I said in a hurry, “Old lady, young master, you can rest assured that I won’t run away, and I won’t do anything against you once again. I just… want to be a father to Flora for the last time.”
The old lady sighed, looked at Cheney and nodded. “Just accept it.”
